This was a fun wine tasting room to visit, though it felt cramped and muggy inside with several people standing around, but I believe they are expanding the tasting room so our next visit should be more pleasant. Our Faovrites — Alba COR — Old Hwy — Malbec

One of the best wineries in Washington! I love their Cabernet Franc, both the red and the rose. The tasting room is expanding, proving that you can’t keep a good thing secret. Highly recommended along with Domaine Pouillon and Syncline.

I read an article recently that said there are two types of women in this world, red wine drinkers and white wine drinkers. Red wine drinkers for instance are practical, speak their minds, watch Netflix in bed, and made the game. White wine drinkers live in the moment, are good listeners, watch catfights on HBO, and play the game. I am a red wine drinker. Except when I am at COR. The Alba COR. Whoa. Nelly. This is such an amazing wine. Coming from a lady who does not generally drink a lot of whites, I am always so happy when this white wine makes its way into my mouth. This wine is just different. And refreshing. And something I could probably drink bottle after bottle of in one sitting(although I am old enough now to know better than that). I mean yeah, yeah the rest of their wines are great and impressive… but(for me) they all take a back seat to Alba COR. Go to a tasting and I dare you to walk out of their without purchasing a bottle to take home. Even you red wine drinkers ;-) The tasting room is very chill and relaxing and the crew here is top notch. Both times I have been my group and I have sat outside and they always offer to come outside and pour of wine. Something they certainly don’t have to do, but always seem more than happy to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying yourself. I could probably sit on their patio for hours and hours(actually… I kind of did on my first visit). If you are tasting in the Gorge, do not miss this winery. It is without a doubt one of the best in the area, if not the state.

My husband and I visited a bunch of wineries in the Columbia River Gorge over Memorial Day weekend. This was our favorite. Every wine we tried was thoughtful and well-balanced, and the cab-franc in particular was outstanding. Don’t be afraid to go outside your box here. You won’t be sorry.

I’ll make this short and sweet: Amazing wines, great relaxed atmosphere, knowledgable and fun winemakers, and a llama, all set in the beautiful backdrop of the Columbia Valley.

Good wines especially for the price. Very small facility but they turn out some great products. Ed in the tasting was great. My wife said he reminded her of Alton Brown from the food network. Knew a lot about the process and the wines he was pouring. We had a great time and bought several bottles.

I went here one afternoon with my father and grandpa and we had a wonderful time sitting outside, talking with two of the employees and tasting all their wines. They were very generous and it was a lot of fun. I left with two bottles of line with packaging to protect it in my suitcase.

Don’t judge the magnitude of these wines by the size of the tasting room. The complexity of winemaker, Luke’s, wines is phenomenal. If you want a well crafted wine with friendly staff, look no further.

Hey all you Cab-Franc lovers — if you want a good Cab-Franc this is your place. We just love these guys — they are always fun, kind, and every time we drive up we bring them homemade salami and they love it! Their wines are great, their wine steward is funny and on the ball. We just adore Luke and love the way he thinks, his methodology, his technology and just the way he interacts while sharing his knowledge about his craft is just fabulous. While the grounds, the tasting room are modest it’s a must stop when wine tasting along the Gorge.

Terrific wines at fantastic prices. Luke is an up and comer in Washington wines using old school methods and modern technology. The tasting room is cute and the staff friendly and knowledgeable! A must visit while in the Gorge for any wine lover,

This is a small winery with very good wine that is priced very modestly for the quality. The tasting room and the grounds are nothing to call home about. I left with a bottle of the Cabernet Franc and a bottle of Old Hwy(an excellent white blend). This should definitely be on your list if you are touring wineries in the Columbia Gorge area

I learned a while back that Washington was the second largest producer of wine in the US. I did not know that since I live in CA and well, they produce a lot of damn wine there. It was nice to find a vintner from WA that produces a nice Cabernet Franc that can hold up to a beefy steak. Very earthy, slight hint of berry, but not heavy and in your face like a cab sauvignon.
