I give them 4 stars because the pizza is pretty darn good here. The garlic knots are good and they’re cheap. You can get 6 knots for 3.00. The inside is pretty blah but their pizza is good and that’s what counts! This is my second time here so that means the food is good!

I’m from Chicago by way of LA, so New York pizza is… different. But Capri, makes a great pie. We love the«Capri» special. Garlic knots are sinfully delicious. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It may not look glorious, but the truth lies in the quality and taste. Both are alive, well and thriving at the Capri. Try ‘em out and let me know your thoughts. PS. Have not tried any pasta dishes or sandwiches… yet.

Few people even know what a real Sicilian pizza is round here, let alone make it. Capri’s, makes the best Sicilian pizza around! The rest of their food is great, and probably the best value and one of the best kept secrets in town. Tell them, Pete sent you

perfect pizza in this area. fresh and fast… some say it’s not like NY pizza and that is good, cause in my opinion NY has no clue how to bake pizza

Really good pizza, even better pasta. That’s saying something considering I like Chicago-style pizza better. My husband and have been ordering out from Capri’s for years. Never had a problem, and it’s always ready for us to pick up on time as promised!

Our family loves Capri’s! Love to have a great local pizza shop! It’s not perfectly authentic NY-style pizza, but the closest you can get in N. Tampa and when it’s really hot, the difference is barely noticeable. Pasta dishes are a treat too, and everyone who works there is super friendly. Only downside is that they don’t deliver.

I had heard so many good things about this place… but I should have realized they did not come from folks who grew up in the NY/NJ area… LOL Unfortunately, Capri is simply one of a thousand Florida pizza places that claims to make real New York Pizza but doesn’t really have a clue. The crust was doughy or leathery and the sauce was bland and cheap. The cheese was close to adequate, but overall this was extremely disappointing because I had friends who raved to me abou this place. If you grew up in Florida and order takeout from Papa John’s, Domino’s, etc… then this place will be a nice treat for you. If you grew up with real Pizza, then you need to look elsewhere as there actually are a few legit places in the Tampa Bay region.

The Capri antipasto salad is good. However, the pizza leaves much to be desired. The pizza dough/crust is leathery. I’ll probably never order from here again.

Favorite pizza place in Tampa. Consistently good pizza, wings, subs, and salad. I’m never disappointed when I order Capri. The owners are extremely friendly and the service is great. Great place to order take out because it seems to always be ready for pickup within 20 minutes. I highly recommend trying Capri.

Sobif ever in Lutz, FL, and you are looking for great food at a decent price then this place is for you. It really is family owned as the daughter was serving me while her dad and son works the line. Authentic hand tossed pizza with a nice flavor on their garlic rolls which are really soft. Definatly worth eating at and good for kids — after all, a lot of people like Pizza!

Prices are a little high for the venue, but the food is great. Pizza, subs, pasta are all very good. Staff is very friendly.

Pizza sounded like a good idea so we decided to stop in and pick up a pizza to go. We ordered the Capri pizza which was kind of like a pizza with the works but with a little less stuff. Stopping here and ordering the Capri turned out to both be good ideas. This seems to be a mom and pop business and the people working there were all pleasant. The place also seemed clean and most importantly the pizza was great! I recommend this local pizza place. In fact, my wife is picking up pizza from Capri’s as I Unilocal this review :-)

The food was very good. They serve the best Veal Parmigiana in Tampa Bay at a very reasonable price. The veal was very tender and it was served with pasta with marinara sauce. It also included garlic knots that were very fresh and soft and full of garlic. I plan to come back to this place and try other entrees. The restaurant is owned by the Verilo Family and they have been at this location 11 years. The owner’s name is Antonio and he is also the chef. Should you ever come here mention my name DANTHECABMAN.

First off, I must confess. I am a self-proclaimed PIZZASNOB. I am more than simply a fan of NY-style pizza, because it’s not just the flat, thin crust that makes a pizza a NY-style pizza. It’s a lifestyle and the NY attitude that you can taste in every bite. A true NY-style pizza should be as rich and vibrant as the city that shares its name. Every bite should have you exclaiming, «FUHGEADDABOUTIT!» That is how great a NY-style pizza should be. It should have you channeling quotes of all the best mobster movies. «I amuse you?» Sadly, this pizza didn’t even come close. It totally missed the mark. The crust was thin in a sad NY-style attempt, but it was dense and heavy. The sauce had no flavor and tasted as if it came straight from a can. The cheese was o.k. I really wanted to like this place because it was so close to home and the service was great. Our smiley young server was as cute a button, but the pizza just didn’t make the grade for me. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad with our meal and sadly that gets a «Meh. I’ve experienced better», too. If you’re not a pizza snob, then you may like it. If Papa Johns or Dominos is your thing, then this may be a special treat for you. «A wise guy’s always right even when he’s wrong, he’s right.»

This place has a vibrant carry out business. 2 and 3 pizza’s per person were flying out the door. There were as many there for carry out as those eating in. The food on a scale of 1 – 10, in my opinion, was a solid 7. The prices are good for what you get. Service(on a Friday about 7 p.m.) was mediocre. No silverware provided with our meal and the pizza came 5 minutes before the veal parm. My big complaint is the automatic adding of 18% gratuity to the bill. I only accept that at fine restaurants and will not hesitate to have them remove all or part of it if the service is not satisfactory. Not that I wouldn’t have tipped the young lady at least 18% but I hate not to have the choice. I wonder what they do on carry out? Parking, if busy, on a weekend night could be an issue. The veal with garlic knots was good and the large pizza was good and truly a «large». I always say support the local business that you want to be a part of your community and I would support Capri Pizza but as a carryout patron, assuming no automatic tip charge, going forward

Stop in for fresh, pizza and Italian dishes. The bruschetta is very filling made on thick Italian bread instead of toast which makes for a nice twist. The garlic rolls are yummy with butter and fresh garlic. It can get busy after local ball games, but is generally a nice place to meet friends or have a family dinner without a wait. Worth the stop!

Loved the pizza — even my picky nieces devoured it. Server was so kind to my messy nieces and on top of our drinks.
