Almost Home After School Center

I just want to compliment you and your staff and tell you that you run an amazing organization. Ms. Kaylee (not sure if I’m spelling her name correct) is one of the few names I’ve memorized because I see her so often, but EVERYONE there is always so professional, kind, helpful and caring. I continue to be impressed and pleased every day that I pick up my kids and the fact that they want to return there on Friday and Sat nights is great proof of the great job you all do. My two kids have gone to Almost Home for 4 years. They love it. We use all their services. The after school care is wonderful. My kids homework is always complete by the time I pick them up. They enjoy all the activities and friendships there. Summer camp is filled with fun field trips and various activities to keep the kids engaged. And the babysitting service is awesome. It’s nice to be able to have some adult time with my husband and friends knowing the kids are having fun without killing my pocket book. I highly recommend Almost Home.

As a parent of three children that attend Almost Home for after care during the school year and summer camp I feel I can honestly say this place is amazing! The owner Natalie Nelson and her staff truly care about the well-​being of my children. They foster a safe environment for my children and the others at all times. When I have to be at work I know that I do not have to worry about my children at all! They are always begging me to pick them up later. They have a great program that allows for structured homework time and the children are broken down by ages which I think is wonderful. They even offer private tutoring if it’s something you need. All of my cares and concerns have always been addressed and we came in the middle of the school year last year and Natalie and her staff made it’s so easy for my kids. They had never even been on a school bus and Natalie and Kaylee another staff member made the transition so much better for my kids!!! Thanks for all you do!

I like Almost Home a lot and so do my kids. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is because I go out of my way sometimes to communicate with the owner when I need to. If you leave a message you may not get a call back… so I’ve driven all the way over there during work hours to get things done. I think this is because they are extremely busy with the kids, which is wonderful. The owner is very pleasant, just busy so I wish she would allow employees to do some admin work for her.
I don’t use them for after care because my children go to school in Westchase, which is not in Almost Home’s pickup area. I thought about using them for Summer Camp, but we travel so much that it’s hard for us to pin down exact dates, necessary because they fill up fast.
Now for why this place is great:

We only use Almost Home’s ‘Child-​Sitting’ service. It costs us $ 30 a month for 2 kids… I think it’s $ 20 per child then you get a discount for extra children. They do a bank draft for the fee and we get to drop off our kids one weekend night per month from 6:30pm-12:30am. This is perfect for a date night. For $ 5 per child they also serve dinner (pizza) if you get there before they order. They also have an unlimited option, but we’re not in town enough and always have so much going on to get even the one weekend night in every month.
The staff is friendly and fun. The kids get to do fun activities, the play space is wide open and huge, and a move is played toward the end of the night. My kids like to go in their pajamas and they bring their own ‘pillow pets’ so they can relax during the movie then go straight to bed when they get home.
If you and your hubby need a night out, but feel guilty about leaving the kids behind, this place eases that guilt because the kids have so much fun.

Terrific place for kids. Great for the busy parents looking for an affordable after School program for their kids or perhaps need a night out on the town on a Friday night. They provide transportation, homework assistance and indoor and outdoor activities. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, you will feel comfortable knowing your little ones are in good hands.
