Wonderful place! We had to rent a tux for my son’s graduation and prom. They did the measurements at his school, so the tux was ready when we went to pick it up. It fit perfectly and they took the time to show him exactly how to wear it — studs, suspenders and everything! (Which I could have done but he probably didn’t want his mom’s help!) We got an extra tie and cumberbund for the prom and shoes too and it was all very reasonably priced! Thank you so much for making it all so easy!

Service and attention to getting my son fitted for the prom was excellent. Scott, the owner and his associates made the experience drama free. I feel like we got a great price and value – and my son looks great!

Scott waited on us he was so professional and very courteous. He showed us the latest tuxedos that were slim fit. Scott advised us if things were not perfect when we came back to pick up his tuxedo, it wouldn’t be a problem because all of the tuxedos were there at this location. Nothing had to be sent out like some of the competitors. He guaranteed us that everything would be just fine. Scott stated «not only do I want your son to look good, my reputation is on the line» 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. I highly recommend this establishment.

Great experience with these folks. Very professional, giving great advice and polite suggestions. They treated our entire wedding party with great respect. Had one groomsman have a trip and tear. The response was don’t worry about it as long as you use us next time.

The Tuxedo House is fantastic. If you are in the area, don’t rent anywhere else! My father, who is quite large, has been using them for years. They always fit him perfectly and have him look quite sharp.
We used the Tuxedo House for our wedding and were so impressed with the service. If you are able, pick up your suit in person so they can guarantee the fit is correct. Their full stock is on site so they make any changes or adjustments you need. As my husband has had to rent suits from Men’s Warehouse for other weddings, we can attest to how poor MW sizing has been. And Men’s Warehouse is unable to correct sizing issues, so you’re sick with what you get.
At Tuxedo House, the suits and tuxedos were excellent quality. The pricing was surprisingly much lower than Men’s Warehouse also. Really, there is no reason to go anywhere but Tuxedo House if you live near Baltimore.

Just got married yesterday and my Father’s tux did not match anyone else’s!!! They gave him a 2x jacket and a 1x vest and shirt. He couldnt fit either the vest or the shirt and had to wear his own shirt that did not match the bridal party! His shoes were the wrong size as well and he had to wear his own shoes!
A second groomsmen was given a vest that was soo big he had to return the following day to get one that fit and the same grooms men’s shoes fell completely apart during the wedding!!!
When we returned the tuxedos and i told the gentlemen about the problems we had had he apologized but maintained that these things were not his fault and did not offer any reparations! I wont be returning and i won’t be recommending this company to anyone!

I went to looking for a special order shirt for my daughter’s prom date;it had to be solid black shirt with french cuffs. We went to Men’s Wearhouse, K&G, Big &Tall, Macy, Nordstrom and Jos A Bank. Nobody was able to fit him at a 15 ½ 38 – 39, but I remember my guys at Tuxedo House. I went in and told Scott what i needed and he had it for me in less than two days.
He came through and the price was economically. Thanks again Scott and Tuxedo House

I’m a big fan of this place because of the affordable hard-​to-​find formalwear that one has to keep on hand these days, even if they are rarely used.
One caveat: These guys have no idea how to hem trousers. Everything I have bought from them had to be re-​done. Even when I explicitly asked them to really sew trouser cuffs correctly, what they did came apart very easily. So, they are slap-​dash. Very common these days. Buy your stuff here and invest in real tailoring somewhere else.

First this review is long overdue as I was married 2 years ago. Everyone looked perfect, the fit was awesome, and they made everything so easy. My husband and I were not very particular and they were so helpful! Now for the best part. I literally just realized a second ago that I forgot to order a tux for a black tie wedding TOMORROW. I called on a whim, and they pulled up his file (bc they are awesome and still had his measurements) and said I can pick it up tomorrow. THEY ARE THE BEST! Fritz you are a one man lifesaver!

If you are looking for a place to rent a tuxedo in Baltimore, look no further! I came here after being so disappointed by big name chain stores, and I was so happy with the business model here, and the superb customer service.
As I walked in, I was a bit worried — the store building looks like a warehouse, and from the entrance to the actual store area, you only see hundreds of pictures of celebrities who have used the store. This made me worry that they might only care about important customers and not so much about common folks like me. But I was completely wrong!
First, you can actually try the tuxedos before you rent them. If you go to chain stores, you have to choose from a catalog, and you only get to see it the day before you need it. Who would want to risk doing that for a big event like wedding?
Second, the customer service was simply superb. They are very professional and easy to talk to, and their recommendations were so spot on — I tried a few different tuxes but the first one they recommended was way better than the other options. I also appreciated that they know how to talk to people who don’t know anything about tuxes (like me) — not many people have experience renting or buying tuxes, and they immediately tell you what kind of factors help determine the right tuxes for you. On the other hand, at other stores I went to, they all treated me like I didn’t belong there, and that I should know what I wanted, but I felt so comfortable and satisfied talking to the gentlemen at Tuxedo House. And by the way, this whole interaction took less than 10 minutes, but I never felt rushed, and it took very little time only because they know what they were doing, and they can do everything very efficiently.
The tux rental package (including shirt, shoes, vest and tie) only cost about $ 200, which I thought was a great deal. Also, I’m going to use this in California, and they said I can just ship it back from there so I don’t have to carry it around. How nice of them! I bet they will make efforts to accommodate all kinds of unusual requests and circumstances to make the customers’ lives easier. I really look forward to wearing their tux!

Tuxedo House is excellent. I was going to go to Men’s Wearhouse, but on a hunch that a locally owned and operated place would give me better service, I stopped by Tuxedo House with my son who needed a tux for his prom. It was a smart choice. Scott Furman (one of the owners) waited on us personally and was incredibly professional. In minutes all of my son’s measurements were taken and noted. The tux choice was made quickly and easily, and in 15 minutes we were on our way. Great choice for tux rental or purchase. This place will always be my first choice for formal wear.

I stopped in to see Scott Furman at Tuxedo House in Timonium at the suggestion of the sales dude at Men’s Wearhouse, who could tell that I wasn’t happy with what they had to offer. (Side note: This is about purchasing a tuxedo, not renting.)
Best decision ever. Aside from the fact that Tuxedo House helps with costuming for local theater troupes (a plus in my book), Scott understood exactly what I was looking for.
Tuxedo House was not my first stop, because other (chain) retailers like Men’s Wearhouse have their selection on the web, so I could shop a bit online before stopping in to try stuff on in person. Tuxedo House doesn’t have their catalog online, because they have access to a much larger selection of size, fit, style, and fabric quality than what you find in regular men’s stores– literally hundreds of different tuxedos and suits from every designer you can imagine. It may be an old school approach, but this is a shop-​in-​person kind of place.

I’ve been going to Tuxedo house ever since I was a little monster… Today, I’m a grown up monster and I still can’t Unilocal loudly enough about this remarkable little gem of a retailer. Tucked away in a strip mall conveniently located just seconds off 83, Tuxedo House is a family run business going back nearly 100 years (or at least that’s what I was told). Everyone has shopped here… from famous wrestlers to local celebs and politicians. Tuxedo House is literally Baltimore’s Tuxedo shop.
The guys who work (both owners) are always professional, courteous, and helpful. They give you their complete undivided attention, ever judge you, or try and up sell you in any way. The gents here simply want to make you look good. Now granted, I already look pretty good without clothes in general. But when I sport a Tuxedo from Tuxedo House, women seem to flock to me like vultures to a dead animal carcass… or even better, like the women in my family do to a new credit card or smartphone. Why does this phenomenon take place? Because Tuxedo House has great designer Tux’s that make you look sexy and masculine, that’s why. Plus, the quality is top notch and the price is unbeatable. Keep in mind this place does their own alterations and dry cleaning «in house,» hence the name.
But what I really love about Tuxedo House is that its an experience. Your not just walking into some crowded store, waiting around for someone to pay attention to you. When you walk into this place… it’s clean, bright, spacious and the owners seem to actually care about your personal needs. They can mix and match different styles and will bend over backwards (literally) in order to please customers. So if you want a real customer service experience, go here for your Tuxedos from now on. If you’d rather get second hand stuff made in Somalia or Iraq, there are plenty other bad Tuxedo places around. I won’t drop names, but you know who you are!!! Personally, I like feeling that my business is appreciate. Plus I’d rather support local businesses that support the local economy.

I was previously happy with Tuxedo House and I took my son there for his prom tuxedo. Tuxedo House has lots of traditional inventory on site, but I was disappointed that for anything other than very basic colors and styles, you have to buy rather than having the option of renting — whether it’s an accessory or a full tuxedo! That includes vests and ties with any interesting designs or colors. Worse, when my son mentioned that his date had requested he get something that matched her dress, the person in charge knocked other area stores and products for no reason. These were major turn-​offs, and we left and went to a local store he had knocked!
I found that this «non-​tuxedo store’s rental» fit just as well as tuxedos from Tuxedo House, and it was similarly priced– less since we didn’t have to buy the vest and tie to get the one he wanted for prom!

They have all kinds of tuxedos in stock, and you can find some that fit like they were made for you. However, the sales people are not always honest about the cost of their products if you are going to buy. From my independent research many of these tuxes are not much more to buy (online) than to rent here. Furthermore, I saw polyester tuxes there but the owner insisted that they were made of wool, especially annoying since the tag clearly stated 100% polyester. Despite this the selection and sizes are great if you need something in a pinch. The sales associates are friendly but I wouldn’t assume they are always honest about the quality or true price of their stock.

It was my friend’s wedding so I was put to the task to pick up my tuxedo from House of Tuxedo in Timonium. Unfortunately, the ticket said it was in Timonium, so my GPS had no idea where it was. For future reference, Tuxedo House is located in Lutherville-​Timonium is is not very far off 695 or 83 expressways.
I entered the big lot at Tuxedo House and there was plenty of parking and was greated by a gallery of football memorabilia from the Baltimore Ravens. Very cool to look at with some autographed stuff, so the quality of the shop was vouched for and I believe they did tuxedos for some presidential events. I got into their main shop and waited. This wait continued on with 0 acknowledgement while other people were being helped with great care and good service. I of course felt slighted that it literally ran fifteen minutes before anyone even acknowledged me.
Once I got my gear, I tried it on and the jacket was a bit too tight. The tailor ran back to get me a better coat and it all fit nicely. The tuxedo really was of great quality, although I can’t say I was a big fan of the small black cufflink. No cumberbund but I had on some clip on suspenders and my shoes shone in the light. The vest and whole getup was swank and some of the finest threads I’ve seen.
Renting the tux for my friend’s wedding cost me about $ 115 or so and I can say that it was probably the best tux I’ve ever worn. High quality goods, but it is probably better to visit them earlier in the day or pick up your stuff earlier since it can become a clustermuck during a Saturday morning!
