Excellent service! Joe slapped a tune up on my wife’s bike and fixed a «mystery clunk» on mine that another bike shop shrugged about. Quick friendly service with reasonable fees. Luray is lucky to have a good bike shop in town.

My daughter and I have been camping this week in Luray and decided to take a morning to ride the Greenway. About half way through she declared that her back brake wasn’t working correctly. Since her front ones didn’t work at all, we stopped in to the very smartly placed Hawksbill Bicycles where the gentleman there was nice enough to take a look, make some adjustments and, being a cyclist himself, made sure the fronts were also in working order. He also educated us on how to fix them ourselves should it happen again while out riding. I would not hesitate to recommend to others and now I know where to go while camping if we have a problem. One last thing… he also educated us on some other trails in a park and advised which to avoid with our bikes and which were more«user friendly» for a short ride. Thank you!

I was touring on Skyline drive when I broke a spoke. I went into Luray from the drive and Hawksbill fixed me up with a new spoke and some other adjustments for under $ 20, all before I could even finish my lunch across the street. I couldn’t hope for faster, better or cheaper service in a small town.

Hawksbill Bikes is an excellent place to rent solid mountain bikes. My wife and I rented front-suspension bikes from them a number of times until we ended up buying our own. The Luray area has really good singletrail and the store will help you with suggestions, maps, directions, etc. Usually a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation for rentals, especially during the summer period. The service is great and very friendly.
