Cabel Salon

I’ve decided to feel courageous and go short. Customer service was great as they had called me back to notify me whether or not they could take me in at the time I’ve requested.
The place looks clean but was set back at the salon’s clientele. Not sure if it was a senior citizens day or what but it wasn’t a place for young clients to come and get their hair done at all.
I won’t state who had botched my locks but I would say that she was very nice and had potential. I’ve always believed you should trust a hair dresser if she has presented herself with beautiful hair; this woman did not have that.
I had her layered my hair in which was uneven on both sides (~0.50−1.0″). How can you have uneven strands at the longest layer??? That’s the first layer you cut! The side bangs she had given me was unforgiving. She literally just took the front of my hair and snipped it once without putting any thought to it.
The blow drying was just something that I could have done without as it could have just been air dried at home.
Overall, the skills she presented to me that day was like an amateur.
I was so mortified that I had to smile and get out of there ASAP. I’ve walked out of there not feeling beautiful.
I will not return.

Kelly is the best!!! She is so knowledgeable and so good at hair. Pricing is also very reasonable. I paid under $ 100 for hi-​lights and dye, cut, dry and style. Very clean and trendy salon. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommended!

I don’t get my hair cut very often and I was frustrated. I had recently had one of those «just OK» expensive cuts and I knew I was unhappy with it when just a few months later I was dying for another hair cut. My sister recommended Cabel and, although it is off the beaten path for me, I make the trip. Well worth it! Kelly cut my hair and she was great. She gave me good advice when I expressed my frustration, kept the conversation going and didn’t take 2 hours to cut my hair! I felt bad though because I think she was nervous about how short she cut my bangs but I want her to know that she did a great job! She listened carefully to my haphazard description and went for it. Although they looked a little funky when I left after a little a water and some pomade I got the results I was looking for. And for only $ 28, I’ll be back. This may give me good reason to have a hair cut more than once a year.

Summer is awesome! She did such a great job, she listened to what I wanted and then made suggestions on how she could make it even better. The atmosphere is really nice, too.

I forgot to write a review here! Awesome place. After I had my son, the owner (I can’t remember her name) cut my hair really short. I had her do it, and although I thought it was probably too short right afterwards, I grew to love it, and now it’s been probably 8 months since I’ve had my hair cut and I can’t wait to go back, and I want it short again! She does such an awesome job!

This is a terrific little salon that does not get enough attention or praise. I first went to this salong in the fall of 2011 after being disgusted with the horrible «hairdressers» at New Outlooks in Lunenburg. I went onto Unilocal and found a great review about Cabel Salon and I made an appointment right away with Summer. I have been back 5 times and this is now my permanent salon.
The salon is small, but beautifully decorated/​renovated. It is very clean with beautiful stations. The owner does a wonderful job at making her salon look updated and modern in this small town.
My hairdresser, Summer, I would recommend to every girl who wants their hair to look great but does not feel like shelling out $ 200+ in Boston every 6 weeks. She is young and pretty and has a great haircut herself. She takes the time to listen to what you want and clarify any questions she might have. She is friendly and you get the feeling that she is really going to take the time on your hair to do it right. When it is all done she’ll ask you if there is anything you don’t like or want fix and she’ll go right in and fix it for you. You don’t have to feel like you have to leave the salon without your hair the way you want it.
The prices are amazing! I get a full-​foil, trim, and eyebrows waxed for about $ 85! Plus, she doesn’t simply blow dry your hair, she styles it beautifully with a straightening iron or curling iron and you leave there feeling great!
This is a great salon for any young girl who wants someone to understand the style they want and how to achieve it. If you go to Cabel Salon ask for Summer or Kelly. Kelly is the owner and is also young, pretty and talented. Either stylist will do a wonderful job with your hair and stay within your budget!

I haven’t had a great haircut in a long time, so my expectations were relatively low for finding a salon when I moved to Fitchburg. I called Cabel Salon and they were super friendly and got me in pretty quickly. When I went in for my haircut, Kelly gave me a few magazines to look through. I told her that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to grow it out or cut it short (I love my hair short but I’m planning my wedding) and she talked me through it and I decided to go short. She gave me one of the greatest haircuts I’ve ever had. I have thick, curly hair and she razored some of it and layered it in all the right places. I already made an appointment to go there and get my hair colored there. It’s pretty affordable too!
— I went back and got my hair colored and highlighted (by Kelly) and my hair has literally NEVER LOOKED BETTER! I also got my eyebrows done (I was way overdue) and she did an awesome job.

Fitchburgh, not the place that comes to mind when I think of salons. I randomly came across a review for this place and thought I would give it a try. finding a good stylist is such a chore. Summer cut my hair and did a very good job. She frequently asked for my input and was able to execute what I had described to her. The end result was very good.
The cut comparable to others I’ve gotten at good salons in major cities (and I’ve been to many, one can only procrastinate a haircut for so long). The salon itself is not in the best of neighborhoods, but they spoke of moving so maybe the new location will be better. The atmosphere is lively. I went on a weekday afternoon and several other people were in the salon.
I haven’t done anything major at Cabel like highlights or anything, so I can’t say how good their services are in that regard. I probably would come back and make a haircut appointment with Summer if I’m in the area again. I would recommend this place.

Well as any girl who lives in the greater Boston area knows, getting your hair done can run you a pretty penny. Personally I do not believe in spending a lot on my hair, but do love my hair to look amazing. This is where Cabel Salon comes in. Yes, Fitchburg is a hike from Boston, but totally worth it!
I started going to Cabel Salon because my hair dresser, Summer, left my old hair dressers to come here. The woman who owns it, Kelly, is Summers friend. Both Summer and Kelly are amazing. Young, hip and really care about how you feel about your style.
Lets talk about Summer. She has saved my hair life. After a bad breakup I went to her ans said I wanted to chop all my hair off… I needed a change. Mind you, I had been growing my hair out for 3 years and it was finally halfway down my back. Rather than doing what I asked, she simply suggested adding a style and some highlights. Well I did and my hair looked amazing… just the change I needed!
That was 3 years ago and I have sense gone from red, to blonde and now dark brown. Each time I chnage my hair I get amazing feedback. Its to the point that my friends will make the trek out to Fitchburg to have their hair done as well.
The bast part… its so inexpensive! I get a trim, wash, dual low light and my eyebrows waxed and my total is somewhere between $ 69-​$ 95. I have never gone over $ 100. Have all that done in Boston and we’re talking somewhere in the $ 300 range!
The salon itself is small and trendy. Its very comfortable and they have lots of magazines to read while you sit under the dryer. I strongly suggest people making the drive out because the place is amazing! If you do go request Kelly or Summer and I promise you will leave a happy camper! Your hair will thank you!
