Boogie & Tootsie’s Deli

Must be a bad day for these guys. Messed up 3 out of 4 orders. Chicken salad sandwich didn’t have any vegetables or mayo. Luckily though it came with some hair. Chicken wrap was missing the Chipotle sauce. Kids sandwich was on white instead or wheat. Not sure what’s going on. Rating for them today dropped a few stars. Maybe next time they’ll do better.

Average at best. Chips are the standard side, but you when only count 15 on your plate then you’re being a little stingy with the chips. My niece orders the child’s grilled cheese and there were 9 chips on the plate. I am not exaggerating the quantities, we literally counted them.
My wife ordered the Rueben and you could barely see the sauerkraut. I wish I would have taken a picture to show you, but they should be embarrassed.
Lastly, but probably the most egregious flaw, bread pudding should not be served cold. I don’t mean room temperature… literally cold.

Wonder atmosphere, friendly service. I had the grilled shrimp poboy, the crunch of the cabbage in the special sauce was perfect with the grilled shrimp on a French bread. The chicken & sausage gumbo was amazing, perfect dark rue! The roast beef, great French bread, provolone cheese and an au jus that was not to salty. Banana bread for dessert was super moist! Our family will be eating here again!

Love this place and wish I didn’t live so far! Other than the hefty prices, I can not complain about anything! The club sandwich and chicken & dumplings are amazing! Can’t walk out the door without getting a pieces of the delicious homemade chocolate turtle cake either!

Great food. The turkey sandwich my wife had was fresh and good. The gumbo was rich and delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the best places to eat in Lumberton.

Wonderful addition to the lineup of eateries in town. My wife and I always try something different when we go and are never disappointed. Great spot for the family. Casual, laid back atmosphere.

Food was to die for! Service was slow! My daughter had a chicken sandwich and I had their chicken tortilla soup! Yum! The staff was very pleasant and apologized for the wait. All in all, I will certainly go back!

Great food! Great service! Really good food! The chicken salad has a very good flavor. The hamburgers are wonderful! Great flavors all around! Really good daily specials… Beef tips over rice, chicken and dumplings… All are very yummy and very filling! Much better than the chain food places where we live! Wish they were closer, and I would never have to cook!

This is a great lunch spot. The interior is spacious, clean, and inviting, and the staff vibe is friendly. It’s order-​at-​the-​counter style, which I like personally… kind of speeds things up during lunch. I loved the layout of the menu, and the way they present options. Here’s a tip: no matter what you get, order s side of the carrot soufflé thing, I forget what they called it exactly but it’s amazing…

I doubt there is really anything wrong with any of the food produced by this shop. Any style or variety. I do have a problem awarding 5 stars to a sandwich shop that serves a pickle and chips on the side.
I am writing about this place more than a week after the fact. I ordered the Chicken Rustica. The combination of flavors woven into this sammy are rock solid. The chicken was, as advertised, grilled. That is not some black marks on white flesh but, real char and a marinated moistness to the tender white meat. Extra care to produce an extraordinary flavor. Ciabatta with soft crumb which required a satisfying pull to wrest a mouthful from the sandwich. The remainder of the actors added a complexity without being too busy. Pesto. Chipotle mayo. Applewood bacon (rather that Italian prociutto) provolone cheese with the lettuce, tomato and red onion. This sandwich is balanced and sublimely delicious.
My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Willy. Compare the ingredient lists between the Willy and the Rustica, These seemingly minor changes produced a significant shift in taste profile. Her: Onion Bun Me: Ciabatta. Her, BBQ sauce Me: Pesto. Nearly a completely different taste with a minimum change of ingredients.
No doubt we will return.

This place is really great! The staff is very friendly and the kitchen is open so you can see how clean everything is. The décor is beautiful, it has a bit of a New Orleans deli vibe going on. I ordered the Rueben and it was awesome. My boyfriend tasted it and was jealous he didn’t order it. He ordered the chicken willy and was impressed as well. The manager is attentive and even brought us some turtle cake she made. It was tasty too! I will be back for sure again & again. It’s nice to have a great deli like this in Lumberton.
