While the food is decent, help is friendly, and it is very clean, comparing Panda Express to a true Chinese restaurant would be like comparing MacDonalds to Outback. It’s a fast food restaurant with limited selections and no buffet. They don’t even have hot and sour soup and the rice is not«stickey.» A bowl of rice with oriental steak or shrimp cost more than a loaded plate with a huge variety(and you can go back for 2nds) at a traditional home grown Chinese restaurant. Their long-suit has to be the superb egg rolls. It’s certainly worth a visit, but I’ll leave it up to you as to whether you return or visit something like Chins or Hunans next time. Had the review been for fast food restaurants, my score would have been 4 stars. But, comparing to Chinese restaurants, 2 stars is more than generous.

This panda express has very good customer service, very good food. For a very picky Chinese eater I have gone to panda express for years, and have always been satisfied. But you always take a risk going to a new chain… I’ve been very happy with this one in Lufkin and have gone there many times. It is a very clean restaurant, with very clean restrooms. Their prices are OK, when it comes to Chinese food you get what you pay for. It is worth paying a few extra dollars to go to panda express.

We ordered two 3-entrée meals and had plenty to take home for dinner tonight. The food is fresh, service is friendly, and you can get in and out quickly. So far this new location has lots of choices. None of the serving trays were less than half full and the staff was very willing to give samples.

You have seen these restaurants in malls everywhere. This one is a stand alone fast food establishment. What I really like about this place is that it is consistent and very clean. You know that sometimes when in the mood for Chinese food, you wonder about the cleanliness of the restaurant. That is not a problem with Panda Express. Food is fresh, hot and good. There is a considerable variety. Pepsi products are served so if you are a Coke fan that may present a bit of a drawback. Service is fast and friendly. While this does not serve culinary masterpieces, it is a good alternative to burgers and fried chicken.
