History
Established in 1971.
«Mama Cuellar must buy her ingredients from El Diablo,» said one man after tasting Mama’s tamales in disbelief, «they’re just too good.» Others said Mama had enchilada sauce in her blood. Some even attest to witnessing Mama turn avacados in to guacamole with a snap of her fingers. These legends are justified: Mama had 12 children to raise, a hous to maintain & a tamale tienda to grow. So as the demand for Mama’s cooking increased, El Chico was born. Every now & then, you’ll hear these stories about Mama. We’ll leave it up to your to decide what’s fact & what’s legend! Since 1913 the legend grows.
