What a pleasant surprise! This small, local takeout place doesn’t look like much from the street — it shares a building with a kind of dated looking«E-Z» indie convenience store — but the pizza and grinder that we tried were REALLY, REALLY good. The pizza crust was on the thin side with both a crunch and a chew, and it managed to support the ingredients and ample dose of greasy cheese without going limp… perfect. The sauce was great, the toppings were great. The grinder was GINORMOUS and delicious. Our family got multiple meals out of this and everyone raved. We will definitely be back!

Excellent grinders — they use Chamura bread. Pizza is also good. Grinders are a super value and pizza is an average value.

After visiting some friends, we decided to grab a bite before we hit the highway. It was a convenient place among a road without a lot of choices. But that’s not a bad thing. The food was really good. We got a couple of hot sandwiches, meatball, and chicken parm(yeah, I know, typical). So basically we got the same thing with a substitution of meat. The rolls were amazing… a semolina bread that had a satisfying ‘crunch’ when you bit into it. That was contrasted by the soft interior the didn’t disappear in contact with the sauce, but stood up to it and held it in place. The tomato sauce was tasty too… Not one I’ve those overly sweet things you get at pizza hut, but not acidic(think heartburn) either. Top that with the mozzarella… Heaven! The young girl(Skye) who took the order was a charm too. She deserves a raise(hint to owner)

I was very pleased with the pepperoni calzone I got here. Service was very friendly. Also the only place I know of as of this writing that sells State Line potato chips, a family favorite.

My brother and I go here often. After reading the reviews, everyone is saying cash only. I can’t tell you that is not the case any more, they take plastic. The pizza is Great by the way. Enjoy!

The very best pizza in town, hands down. Crisp, chewy crust, and a delicious sauce makes this pizza. We ordered a medium, and it was enormous; well worth the reasonable price. I live in Wisconsin, which has pizza joints that make a frozen pizza seem like filet mignon. But, every year that I come visit family, I have to get a pie or two from here. It would be an easy 5 star rating, but the wait to order takes too long. They need a bell or something when patrons enter in my opinion.

Fantastic their chicken parm dinner is best around cause their sauce is OUTSTANDING!!! Love the homemade Italian dressing for the salad and the garlic breadsticks a nice compliment to the meal. Prices are fair portions good size and they take credit and debit now so YEAH! Haven’t had their pizza or subs but have heard great things!

We love Palermo’s pizza. We actually drive down from a not so nearby college town in order to get hot delicious pizza that we can eat inside the pizza shop(something that our town is seriously lacking in being mostly a take-out or delivery type of town that benefits the students). The crust is good; not too oily, and cooked perfectly. Extra cheese on the pizza is just that; you really do get a pizza with a thick layer of hot melded cheese! The sauce is delicious too. Service has always been wonderful; the counter help is attentive and friendly. My only complaints is that when we were here on Monday night(10⁄8), it was really chilly in there, with the air conditioning cranked up(it was a chilly night outside), and the tv was also rather loud. They do a really good take-out business too. I wish they took debit cards, but I understand that by being cash only, they help keep their costs down. And there is a TDBank directly across the street with an ATM in case you don’t have cash on hand. Well worth the trip.

Palermo’s has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Although they have changed hands since then, the quality has been the same. Grinders are phenomenal for the price and the pizza crust is simply delicious – the only reason I gave this 3 stars is due to the girl that answers the phone, takes orders, and runs the cash register. Often when calling she is very short and rude, and the attitude in person is even worse. Walked in one day and was looking at the menu(out of the way of other customers so she could take their order) and when she came out of the kitchen slammed her order pad on the counter and very rudely asked what I wanted. When I told her I was still looking and could take another order, she rolled her eyes and sighed loudly – as if I was bothering her by not being ready. She then went into the back and I had to wait ten minutes before she came back and took my order. Rude the entire time. If you can put up with the attitude from the front, the guys in the back make it worth your while!

I wish I could review the food, but it was not to be. I ordered my pizza at 5:30 and was given a 35min estimate. I arrived at the store at 6:05, with my wife & two preschoolers waiting in the car, and spent the next 30 minutes watching people enter the store & leave with food. All the while I was told«5 more minutes». The TV in the lobby, which no one was watching, was obnoxiously loud and made it difficult for the hostess to communicate with the patrons. At 6:30(just a few minutes after paying for my phantom pizza) I lost my patience as another patron waltzed in and was promptly handed a pizza and told them I had 3 people waiting in the car for me and really needed the pizza. This is when they FINALLY figured out they had lost my pizza. As I departed I told the hostess I would have appreciated it if they had told me they had lost my pizza 30 minutes ago. She didn’t reply to me but informed the other waiting customer that it wasn’t her fault. I rarely get this angry with an establishment but Palermo’s took customer disservice above & beyond in this instance.

Great pizza. Sauce and crust are delicious. 4 stars for being cash only.
