George Simons & Son Jewelers is a 70 year old business (founded in 1940 by George Simons), specializing in diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, custom-​designed and custom-​made jewelry in 14k and 18k gold and platinum, earrings, bracelets, pendants, jewelry repair and appraisals. Our clients are located world-​wide.

History

Established in 1940.

George and Anna Simons operated the business from their home in Springfield, MA, then later in West Springfield, MA, for over 40 years.

Upon George’s passing in 1981, his son and daughter-​in-​law, Bill and Despina, assumed ownership, and in 1983, relocated their home and the business to Ludlow, MA.

Business Owner

Bill attended Classical High School (class of 1967) in Springfield, MA, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami, class of 1973.

He passed his Architectural Boards in 1976, and worked as an architect for 7 years before leaving the profession to assume ownership of his parents’ jewelry business (January 1981), where he continues helping young (and not-​so-​young) couples select the jewelry of their dreams.
