From the minute I walked into Chapter IVX I knew I was going to see clothing that is unique, well made, and fun to wear. And I was so right! If I was in a position to give away everything else in my closet and fill it with Chapter IVX clothing I would do so in a heartbeat! Fairly priced, the selection is ready for anyone. And Willow — the owner — is at the ready with her beautiful smile and honest appraisal of what does and does not work for each of her customers. That is why her customers are repeat customers and all are greeted with her genuine warmth. There are also children’s clothing, gift items, accessories and, in the back, a jam-packed little antique store. When you are in Ludlow — or anywhere near this fun town — make sure to visit Chapter IVX and say hi to Willow. You will want to purchase everything in the store — it’s all that fabulous!

Chapter XIV is quite the find. Especially if you live in an area that has a dearth of interesting comfortable women’s boutiques. It’s shops like this that remind me what the Boston area is missing. Okay, so the clothing and the prices are upscale bohemian, meant for the well-off artist, but there is a whole second floor with racks of sale clothing, and everything in the store is tasteful and well made(sizes women’s small into the pluses). Whoever stocks this shop really has an eye for quality. The jewelry they sell is quite reasonably priced, and a good match for their funky clothing styles. A small selection of books which look new and used are scattered throughout the store. I noted everything from a survivalists guide to Tom Clancy-like stuff. Not sure which book Chapter XIV is taken from, but I like it!
