Found Q BBQ from Unilocal. It has the 3 «C“s — Cute, Casual, & Clean! Cafeteria style. Meals are offered on aluminum trays. Staff was amazing. Very helpful explaining menu options and suggesting favorite food pairings. Chx corn chowder was excellent. Pulled pork moist. Other sides were tasty. Looking forward to my slice of pie. Too full to eat now! We were passing thru town. We will sure to stop again!

Awesome! The staff was beyond friendly and really made us feel welcome. And the food is top notch. The ribs and brisket are delicious and the sides are great. The mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve had in a while and the candied sweet potatoes were some of the best I’ve had ever. I also love the Q sauce. I’m a big fan of sweet barbecue sauces and this one was just perfect. I ended up buying a container of it. We were just passing through, but would probably come back to eat here whenever we’re on this side of the state. Highly recommended.

So — Welcome to Ludington — Q!!! Yum yum. Who could ask for more? A friendly staff — great food and a great addition to our town!!! Wait till the summer comes and everyone discovers this place! The brisket is great — the sides are sumptuous and the brisket chili is out of this world! Don’t miss the chicken corn chowder! You will not be disappointed!!!

We really liked the BBQ, but some of the sides were the best part. The corn chowder and red skinned mashed potatoes were very good. Also, the root beer and diet root beer on tap were awesome! The service was very friendly. It is not a huge place, so carry out is probably the way to go during tourist season.

We tried the pulled pork sliders at Oktoberfest and liked them so when a Groupon came up I bought it. We ordered the 3X2X3X2 as takeout. 3 meats(brisket, chicken, pork), 2 sides(beans & shells), 3 slices of cornbread and 2 desserts(banana cream pie). Portions were more than adequate and we had enough left overs for more meals. The smoked meats were wonderful and tasted good even without sauce. You help yourself to sauces on the condiment table and we tried the Carolina(not a big fan of mustard sauces) and the pineapple/ginger. Next time I’ll try the red sauce. Glad there is another restaurant option in Ludington. We’ll be back!

Ok… I am going to give you my honest opinion of this restaurant. It has potential & with some improvements could become an asset to downtown Ludington. 1st of all I shall begin by saying that the dining area was very cold temperature wise. The food was also cold. The Brisket had wonderful flavor but was not even warm… In fact the only thing that was warm was the baked beans. Everything was Cold including the sauces. The Collard Greens — Cold. The Ribs– Cold. Brisket — Cold Cornbread — Cold & Hard The Coleslaw was very bland. I suppose that this might be an ok take-out restaurant b/c you can heat up the food at home BUT to eat inside was a complete failure. I believe the people working there were friendly enough but had no clue as to how their food temperature was being presented. The Pecan pie was ok but not fabulous as presented in other reviews. As I said before… I think the restaurant has potential but the workers there need to keep a closer eye on their product to stay in business for the long term.

My mom picked up take out as i was arriving late. I was extremely skeptical when she told me she had kept some Ludington brisket warm in the oven and had some sides. It was the best brisket I have ever had. Rivals all authentic Texas bbq I have had. Rivals ANY brisket I have had. Outstanding sauces and sides. This bbq is a winner for the world, not just the Lud.

The chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs are very good. Nice smoked flavor and smoke ring. Shells and cheese are a little bland. Potato Salad was something I won’t order again – would much prefer a more traditional potato salad than the grilled veg and vinegar potato salad that is served. Really enjoyed the sweet tea and the chocolate chip cookies. The pecan pie was outstanding. Prices are reasonable. Have visited twice and will return again – hope they add some more sides. Nice to have another food option in Ludington.
