This is the worst food I’ve eaten since moving to Lubbock! The chicken is fatty! Waited in the drive threw for 15 minutes, all for nothing. I’ll stick to Pei Wei!

Ok Unilocal needs to do a 2 tier rating food always good the girl destiny did her best the cooks are clueless they kept making piles of orange chicken that nobody wanted and chow mein yet there was a line of 15 people waiting on teriyaki chicken it took me 25 min to get my food and take it to go not sure if panda has the line staff cook the teriyaki chicken and it’s not the cooks job but something needs to get fixed I felt bad for the line staff not to mention the customers waiting.

Food was ‘so-so’. The servers should wear gloves! The cooks do, why wouldn’t the ones that actually handle your food? Destiny was rude and had a horrible attitude. The rest of the personnel were none too friendly either. The manager, Kris, was apologetic for the long wait but that didn’t help the fact that it was such a bad experience. We will not be going back. PS — stop writing on the take out boxes, it’s disgusting!

Worst food we have ever eaten, I ordered some orange chicken and got home opened it up and it was soul and rancid. The rest of our food was like it had been setting out all day and the young girl taking our order had this attitude and was very ugly to us. We have been here 2 times now and we will not go back.

I’ve eaten here before, probably 6 months ago, and loved it. Not so much tonight. I ordered the orange bacon chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. The fried rice is painfully dry. I mean, dry enough that it’s almost crunchy. The orange bacon chicken, which I’ve eaten before and loved, now has some sort of spice in it that makes it too warm for my sissy-mouth! And the egg roll, while crunchy and appealing on the outside, tastes like it was left over from earlier in the day. Not a pleasant meal at all! I always get a larger size meal so I can take the left-overs to work the next day. I think I’ll pass.

Hallelujah! Orange Chicken has finally made it to West Texas! My wife and I used to frequent Panda Express in Chandler, AZ and 11 years ago we moved back to Lamesa and last year when this one opened it was awesome! The food as everyone can easily see, with open kitchen and windowed frig, is fresh and the portions are plentiful. And the staff are friendly and willing to help you with your orders. My wife and I are grateful for their arrival!

For a fast food chain, the chinese food is pretty darn good. You get pretty decent servings, and you get it fast. Everything taste fresh, and is served hot restaurant is clean, employees are polite, and the open view of the kitchen allowed me to see one of the cook set his wok on fire, which was pretty sweet. I guess my only complaint was that there wasn’t soy sauce on the tables, so I had to get up and ask for some packets at the check out counter. As inconvenient as it is, it does give me the opportunity to burn off some of those extra general tso’s calories

Both times that I have gone there all the food including my favorite the Lo-mein have tasted like they have been sitting there for hours. If you do plan on going, then I would suggest going at their peak hours and avoiding eating here after 8pm. I do plan on going back during they’re peak hours to see if I can taste the difference.

2 Stars, only because they make American Chinese food without the MSG. We’ve been to this place at least 10 times now — because it’s the only place in town without the evil MSG — and I really love Chinese flavors. But this Lubbock location is a crap shoot. Yes, the food is tasty — if they give it to you, and if they don’t run out of what you’re hungry for. The real problem here is that they can’t seem to get the logistics right. We ate inside about 3 weeks ago, and I realized what the drive-thru problem is – they are dishing drive-through orders from the serving buffet — so the servers have to decide who gets the last portions available — the person standing in line in front of them, or the person waiting in summer heat in the drive-thru lane. In my case, they gave the last portion of broccoli beef to the not-earth-friendly-foam box — and I was told they would bring mine out to our table as soon as it was ready. 30 minutes later — after everyone at our table had finished eating –and after I’d seen them refill the broccoli-beef buffet tray 3THREE! times and then empty it for other customers — I went to the cash register and asked when I would be getting my meal. The woman actually shoo-shoo’d me away saying I needed to be patient and that they would bring it out soon. 5 minutes later — they brought me my food. I told them I needed it in a to-go box because everyone else was finished — and they had the nerve to look hurried and impatient WITHME that I would ask for something else. Over all, we have given up on them except when we really feel like gambling. We don’t even try to go inside any more. We drove through this week, and since you can’t see what they are putting in each box, it really is a roll of the dice whether you’ll get what you ordered. We’ve got the wrong food, the sauce was left off the mandarin chicken, and they didn’t give us our potstickers — none of which was obvious until we got home and tried to eat. This chain may be reliable elsewhere — but in Lubbock — it’s badly managed, and not on our list anymore. MSG or not.

Good for fast Chinese take-out. While in SF it’s considered the McDonalds of Chinese food, here in Lubbock it’s one of the top Chinese food places in town. As such can get pretty busy at times. Orange chicken and string bean chicken/beef are consistent. Walnut shrimp and eggplant beef are pretty good too. I go here frequently for a quick meal.

I have been to a lot of Panda Express’s. I do enjoy their food. With that being said, this one is new. So I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. They are very busy right now so the service is slow. I have been here four times now and they are always out of more than one item when I come. But they’re not that busy when they have people that are only there to cook. I hope they work out the issues fast. I will give them another try but that may be it, unfortunately. Please, get it together.

Not the fastest service, and being that they just opened their is a major rush of folks going there. Having said that, everything except the service was pretty up to the standards of and Panda Express. They did run out of food a few times and I had to wait, so they should work on that. But other than that its was your pretty average panda express.

I used to eat at Panda Express in Waco all the time. The prices are reasonable and my husband loves the orange chicken. The food at that location is great. At the one in Lubbock, they have the same menu but the food is terrible. The lines are long, the cashier is very slow, and even the food tasted old/strange. They didn’t have soy sauce or to-go containers out by the drinks like the other location. And the next morning I was really really sick. Made the mistake the next day of eating the leftover rice I brought home and got sick again. I had the fried rice, wontons, and walnut shrimp. Better options: Pei Wei– same very slow service but way better food and portions. Love the Diner Selects. Ginger Express– menu is hit and miss but beef and broccoli and crab rangoons are good and the lunch special is cheap. Also very fast service.

Waited almost 30 minutes in the drive thru and after I paid for my order, they told me one of my order was not ready and asked me to wait outside the restaurant. I waited another 15 minutes… No apology or anything, just«here is your food» I know they just opened, but they should get their act together before they open! Food was not great either, Pei Wei, China Town or even China Wok have much better food and SERVICE!
