It feels like you are in a grey warehouse. The atmosphere is lacking. The drinks are expensive. It’s not somewhere I would go back to unless I had to.

Best Burger ever, got the breakfast burger. I will be back. WoW. If I had room for a second I would. Waitstaff is cute and friendly. I can’t say enough. I love this place.

I went here for a medical school event with my husband. The med school puts on these events at different places in Lubbock and offers free food for the students. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn’t hard to get parking at all. The food they had for us was pizzas and bacon wrapped jalapenos. The food was nothing special, just bar food. Which, they are a bar, so that makes sense. The drink specials were:
$ 2.75 20. oz Domestic Drafts
$ 2.75 Domestic Bottles
$ 2.75 Wells
Sadly these specials aren’t anything out of the norm for happy hour in the LBK. I think I didn’t like this place because I am not a bro who wants to watch 8 sports ball games at once. If I was a bro who loved sports I think I would come here to get a beer with my other bros and get some appetizers during a game. Since I am a girl that likes margaritas and low lighting I will find myself going elsewhere for a drink or food. The staff did a good job of keeping everything flowing.

Server was very courteous and met my needs perfectly. The burger was really delicious.

This is just a sports college sports bar with an avg atmosphere. If your looking for a spot to go watch a game and drink a beer it’s fine. It’s large open and airy, brightly lit. It kind of reminds me of a sports book area in Vegas but not too much.

I’ll never go there again. Zero stars if I could. I walk in and order a beer and ask the bartender to put a replay of an old UFC on the tv. He proceeds to tell me that it’s against bar policy to show any UFCs at all. They don’t do it. OK, that’s fine. I tell him thanks anyway, but I’m going to another bar. He proceeds to charge me for the beer he just sat down in front of me that I never even touched! Horrible customer service and unfortunately, all too common in Lubbock.

I was very disappointed in the food and service here. I have been twice, (I went back after the first time to give it another shot) and I was just as let down. The food is sub-​par, and just basic bar food. I thought with the great location and fun atmosphere that there would be some good and creative menu items. The service is terrible as well, our waitress only came over the get our order and bring the food. We had to wave her down multiple times to get more water and our checks.

I wish I could give this place –stars. The waitress never brought our drinks and was confrontational when we asked about it. After notifying the manager that things weren’t moving smoothly, he didn’t do much. He brought our drinks and we had more issues when it was time to pay. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to pick up our cards, we walked to the bar where the bartender told us she «couldn’t» close our tab because it needed to be done through the non-​existent waitress.
Overall, I’m highly disappointed. My expectations for better service failed miserably. If I were the owner, I’d observe my management and staff more closely.
Nick’s has a great reputation for it’s other location, but this one seems completely unrelated. So sad!
