I come here and get hash browns and pancakes when i’m drunk or depressed(usually both). It’s pretty good and drunk you will love it, but in the morning when you are expelling the foul stew from your bowels you will hate it and also hate yourself for doing this to yourself. So I give this a 5 when drunk, 3 when sober, and 1 when you get unlucky and have to purge this vile mixture of pancakes, greasy hash browns, and alcohol out of your hole of darkness and shame in the morning.

My friends and I ate at this IHOP on our treacherous drive through West Texas. It was exactly what we needed. The service was very friendly, although a bit of biscuit sass when I asked for a biscuit for the second time. The biscuit was delicious and buttered though. Endless coffee, great hash browns, and good pancakes. Bacon was undercooked and fatty, could’ve been better. Water had the perfect amount of ice, but was not refilled and I found myself parched throughout the meal. Next time we’re in Lubbock, TX, you can find us at this IHOP. Definitely recommend.

Even though this is a chain restaurant, this location in particular really stood out. Just the other morning we had a mediocre breakfast at the IHOP in Wichita Falls. But this one, off campus in Lubbock, was superb. I loved seeing all the staff in Texas Tech gear(celebrating a win) and they were super friendly. The coffee was hot, bacon was crispy, and everything was done just right. Can’t get any better than this!

On 04/22/2015, I decided to have lunch at this particular IHOP and it was not too bad and not too good. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich with onion rings; even though I had to wait about 15-minutes to receive my food, it was still hot and it was not too bad. The one thing I did not like about the place is it is small and somewhat claustrophobic; they cram too many people in a small space and people tend to bump into each when trying to get to and to leave from their tables in the main dining room. The restaurant needs bigger aisles to help patron and employee traffic flow better.

I called in a to-go order and it was put into the system at 12:01. I have never had a to-go order on time from this restaurant but I always order because it is near my girlfriends house and I love IHOP. Needless to say, I usually come a half hour after I order since its rarely on time. Today was the last straw however, as I showed up at 12:35 and they told me the order hadn’t been sent to the kitchen yet. they claimed the computer crashed. This is unacceptable because they could have taken the order manually to the kitchen(common sense) or at the very least called to tell me it would be delayed. I asked how long it would take and they said 15 to 20 minutes so I left, I did not have time to talk to the manager. It is irrelevant anyway since the fix to the employees problems was so simple and no step along the way was i shown even sub par customer service.

The service is so inconsistent. I always order the Big Steak Omelette and sometimes it can be huge and«bomb digidy» and other times it can look very unappetizing to eat.

I called this morning at 10:45 am to check for the wait time. Texas Tech had a game last night and I know that this restaurant gets busy. The young lady that answered the phone said that wait time was around 20 minutes. I am in the process of helping my best friend plan her wedding and they live in Amarillo, TX however, they are from Brownfield, TX and was going to stop in town so that we could go over decorations and centerpieces. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:15 and was seated at 11:40. I ordered coffee because I was going to wait to eat when my friends arrived. I brought with me, the centerpiece samples and I sat them out on the table. My waitress, Katie, brought me a carafe of coffee. I brought creamer with me and asked for some mocha sweetener that’s used for the cappucinos. I proceeded to wait for my friends. at 12:40 Amber approached me and announced that she was the manager and that I had been sitting there for an hour taking up a table that could be used. She also stated that there a line of customers that would like to be seated and basically that I’m in the way and that my table could help the line go down. I explained to her that I called ahead, that I was waiting on more people to show up, that I didn’t know that there was a «limit» on how long I could be there. She stated that customers are only allowed to sit and eat for an hour. I told her that was ridiculous and I was not leaving because 1. I was waiting for people to meet me &2. I had been waiting an hour already. She then said that I was taking up space and that the table was not to be used so that I could«Make crafts». First of all, I wasn’t «making» anything. They were made and I was texting my friend raquel who was keeping me posted on their pending arrival. After my friends arrived I informed them of the conversation I had with Amber and they were just as surprised as well. I’m embarrassed that she even approached me. There were other patrons sitting in front and beside me and heard what she told me. Our conversation didn’t escalate but i’m still embarrassed. The more I sat and thought about what happened today i felt the need to let you know what your staff is capable of. I frequent this restaruant at least once or twice a month and I’ve NEVER been treated this way!

Over 30 bucks for three breakfasts… when did eggs get so expensive? The bright spot was the happy, friendly server. Great to take a college student when parents are visiting, not too budge-friendly for those across the street attending university

I am an iHop fanatic. No matter what time of day I crave pancakes. But this IHOP is the smallest and most lacking of enthusiasm and cleanliness. The food always comes out late and my check is always wrong. I understand that the place is small and it geta frustrating, but that does not excuse the poor treatment of customers. Ihop should taste thr same wherever you go, but the pancakes here tasted like rat poison mixed with despair.

Terrible Service: waitress disappeared after taking order, drinks never refilled, food took 30-minute. Dried up ‘old’ pancakes were served. Sent them back. Practically raw hash browns. Sent them back. My omelette never made it to the table except after everyone at my table finished eating. I dined on hashbrowns and another batch of mediocre pancakes. Every other table was treated the same except the table behind us had an attentive waitress(lucky them). This gas got to be the #1 worst IHOP in Texas: shut it down.

I have never walked out of a restaurant without paying, I have never had to get a manager to the table, but this was the case here. I have been to this IHOP before and had less than great service but not to the extent I had the other day. All I ordered was pancakes but it took an hour for them to make it to our table. Our waiter forgot our orders which was surprising seeing that there were very few people in the place when we arrived. At times it would take him forever to refill our soda giving us the impression that he forgot about us. When I finally got my shortstack of pancakes they were cold, by this time I was fed up and we called the manager, told we refuse to pay for garbage and left. I normally live IHOP but this particular one I will never go to.

Yay! When Dennys decided it didnt want my moolah I moseyed on over to IHOP. Not a soul in the place. Music wasn’t too loud, the college aged staff was having a fun time at work and it was kinda contagious :-). I got my french toast(marvy but a little on the pricey side) and talk about quick! Loverly place if you beat the rush of the college kids.

So my host of the weekend is a Lubbock local. But for whatever reason, he doesn’t seem that familiar with the local joints around. The morning of our departure, he suggested we hit the IHOP for breakfast. Sigh, well at least I know what I’m getting here. We arrived to this IHOP around 9 am on Sunday. Surprise! We beat the rush. Service was prompt, and the food tasted as it should. A tad greasy, but fine all the same. I like the stuffed french toast meal with my eggs scrambled, my hash browns crispy, and bacon. Everything came out at the same time, with the waitress balancing everyone’s plates on one arm. Honestly, this was 3 large plates of food, 2 smaller plates of stuffed french toast, and a short stack of pancakes. Pretty impressive. I guess most IHOPs carry Cholula, so they get a special yay from me. Oh so tasty on eggs, it’s good to know when I can ask for a bottle, when I don’t have my own in my purse.(Ok so I don’t actually carry my own bottle, yet, but I’m thinking about maybe starting!)
