SPLAT! Cakes n’ Such

I love everything about Splat! I was never a cupcake/​cake person until about 5 months ago when a friend introduced me to Splat. Now I make it a point to stop by every Saturday! I work in Charlotte so I don’t get to go to Splat mug during the week but if a friend stops guy they always pick one up for me too. They have over 25+ flavors and have different ones each day. Monica and Chris are so awesome too. I love going to a place that remembers me and they do every time and they treat every customer so pleasantly. They are a small business that truly appreciates its customers.

I stop by here on Thursday and they were just opening up. Well for starters the hours are wrong and so is the pricing that’s on Unilocal when I got there they had just opened up @8am not 7am. But aside from that they have a huge selection of cupcakes and the young lady who helped me was super helpful and very detailed on the cupcakes. I brought a dozen and shared it with my coworkers. They loved it!

I was impressed by the level of customer satisfaction and interaction by staff and owner. The store was sold out of most things I was planning on trying.
This did not stop my from getting two Salted Caramel Cupcakes and a Blueberry Cheesecake
They were really busy when I arrived approx 5 or 6 customers in queue but what’s unique is each and every guest that walks in that door they greet and acknowledge.
There was minimal space inside and while I really went to try to get the Cherry Lemon SunDrop Cupcakes which are only made on Friday’s
I left with some quality product the company prides itself on making everything from scratch. I am impressed but they need to have extra product on hand to meet demand.

Coffee is decent, cupcakes are decent. We love the Snow Cream and Pumpkin Spice cupcakes, but others we have tried have been extremely dry. I am not a frosting person but enjoy theirs. Cupcakes are very dense/​heavy and they have a large selection of flavors. Hot tea is good, lattes are decent, décor is adorable. Wish they had more seating and longer hours especially for coffee earlier in the morning.

I am super cheap so spending 2 – 3 bucks on a cupcake seems like a lot BUT these are well worth it as a treat or even for an event. The chick that works the counter was super cool and even went above and beyond asking about a Red 40 allergy my son has and even called to tell me how Splat would be able to work with us for his birthday this spring.

This place is a little gem, great coffee drinks and the cupcakes are amazing! Fun atmosphere too.

Incredible! Our daughter had been raving about it for a while, (teenagers never rave about anything) so my husband and I went to check it out. I had «here comes the bride» cupcake and it tasted exactly like the wedding cake we had at our wedding! Soooo good! Very dense cake. Can’t wait to go back!

Located in downtown Lowell. A quaint little shop that carries the most wonderful cupcakes we ever tasted.
Their cupcake menu is different each day so make sure you check out their abundant selections and some very unique variety. Cupcakes are currently 2.50 each and one day old cupcakes are discounted at 1.50 each.
I had 12 different ones and I can’t complain anything bad about them except «is there more?»
To list some flavors: tiramisu, strawberry daiquiri, banana pudding, red velvet (so delicious), key lime, rolo, butterfinger, turtle cheesecake, drop it like it’s hot (cherry sun drop), German chocolate, very vanilla etcetc.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! the cupcakes here. Great Variety daily. They did my daughters wedding cake and it was AMAZING! So many compliments and the cake did not last long. Frequent Splat every couple of weeks and have never gotten a dry cupcake. I have even put them in the freezer and they are still amazing. Every employee I have encountered was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I can’t wait to try Splat Coffee n Such in Mount Holly I hear there coffee is specially blended from a local company and it is delicious.
Definetly Try them and if you have a special event you can’t go wrong with there variety of offerings.

I would propose if I wasn’t already married. Best cupcakes I’ve ever had hands down, with so many different flavors. The only time I’ve ever experienced a dry cupcake was when we bought day olds (so duh, it might not be as moist as when they were first put out). Staff is always nice when we come in. I wish they could over night, as we live out of town!

Splat! makes the best cupcakes and you can definitely taste that all of the ingredients are made from scratch! She definitely makes the best Cherry Lemon Sundrop cupcake… «Drop it like it’s Hot»! You simply can’t beat it!

I have only been here once and it was somewhat late on a weeknight and it seems like they were out of a lot of stuff. The cupcakes we had were good but I kind of expected them to be better — the cake was a little dry. I plan to try it again and I’ll update my review!

We have been here twice and have never been disappointed! First time we bought 4 cupcakes, second time 12! They are absolutely heavenly! They have some of the most original flavors I’ve ever come across and have recommended Splat! to all of our friends and family. My eleven year old even chose a dozen cupcakes for his birthday instead of a cake! But they make gorgeous cakes as well!!!

I really, really want to love this place. It’s a local small business very close to our home who has a great concept. The *ideas* for the cupcakes and desserts are fantastic, but just not executed well at all.
The cupcakes themselves are so incredibly dry. I’ve honestly had cupcakes that were more moist purchased from a local supermarket. The first time we went here, we thought it might have just been a fluke. But we bought another dozen last week for a birthday, and they too were incredibly dry.
It’s really a shame, as the flavors and toppings really are great. But when the base of cupcake is bad, it just ruins the whole experience.

Just heard about this place today and decided to try it and the cupcakes are AWESOME! They make all these speciality cupcakes such a hound dog one which is banana cupcake with peanut butter icing plus more. Plus they rotate their flavor, and the day old cupcakes are sold for a dollar! They also a deal where if the light is blinking outside all the cupcakes are a dollar. I highly recommended this place! The cupcakes are o so goog and o so fresh!

So imagine my surprise when i find that the cupcake shop i’ve always imagined existed actually does exist and in the form of an adorable bakery in tiny downtown Lowell. Seriously, this place is awesome. I ran in one night on a whim to pick up something for dessert and i have been obsessed since. First– the cupcakes are delicious. The flavors change daily and the concoctions they come up with are oh so impressive. Cherry-​lemon Sundrop Cupcake? Yes please. Cheerwine? Of course! The Putting On The Ritz cupcake is made with, yep, Ritz crackers. All their flavors are fun out-​of– the-​box creations. Secondly, everything is made using only all natural ingredients. This includes the ice cream, popsicles, cakes etc. Splat is more than just cupcakes. In fact, they are in the process of opening another location that will be a coffee shop as well. With as amazing as the bakery is there’s no way this wont be a huge success. Thirdly, i love how you can tell how passionate the owner and employees are about their bakery. From posting drool worthy instagram pics on facebook to creating breast cancer awareness cupcakes– its very obvious that everything here is done with heart and that makes it the kinda place i want to spend my money.
