History

Established in 1976.

Vertical Drop was born in the summer of 1976 on High St. across from the campus of The Ohio State University. Throughout the years, our goal has always been to stay up with the latest trends in the ski and snowboard industry, as well as more recently, the longboard, kayak/​SUP, and outdoor community. We are proud to be the ONLY locally owned and operated ski and snowboard shop in the Greater Cincinnati area, as well as having the LARGEST supply of longboards & accessories in the area. We like to think our Kayak & SUP department is pretty sweet too. Stop in and check us out!

Business Owner

Jon is an avid skier and all around outdoor enthusiast. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he purchased the store from the original owner in May of 2013, bringing with him 5 years of industry experience due to his ownership of Adams Ski & Snowboard in Zanesfield, OH at the base of Mad River Mountain.
