Tumbleweed TexMex Grill & Margarita Bar

Exceptionally average. I called my order as a carry order and waited almost 15minute before anyone would even ask my name, to see if my food was ready… Not a long wait, but, long enough. The food wasn’t bad, but nothing about it was exceptional… Anyone with a kitchen could have made the burger I received… I’d say the only thing that makes it a plus, is that it’s better than McDonalds. That’s not saying much though, either.

Service was acceptable … But food was AWFUL… We go tumbleweed every Sunday and tried this location today and won’t be back– watery salad, terrible buff chick wrap– I took maybe two bites and my man had en fuego chick sand which usually has him sweating but not today! Best things were the fries, seriously!?

I visited this location today and had a good experience, my friend ordered the en fugeo ck dinner and I did the burger challenge, week the burger was awesome, she thoroughly enjoyed he food and her son ate his food and slept the rest of the time lol. Our server wasn’t the best but we are not needy ppl. Also got a free shirt for completing the challenge so overall a good night!

Tumbleweed delivers a decent chicken burrito with excellent chips & salsa. The food is a bit messy and the service ok but not great. Every time they mess up something — albeit a small thing. This past visit I asked for my burrito topping on the side and it was smothered with it. Again, not the end of the world but I get the feeling they’re just mailing it in versus striving for excellence.

I’ve eating at a lot of other locations but the service I received to at this location has horrible and I would suggest going somewhere else to eat. The server Lori was rude to me and the party of 7 guest that was with me. We were there trying to celebrate a birthday and she pretty much ruined the night, they didn’t even sing happy birthday. I will never be back to this location and hope I’m treated better next week at another location.

The food was good, and with the two who ordered steaks and want them well done so they taste like charcoal, they were correct the 1^st time. The rest of the food was perfect, still a decent value. The service was not very good as a whole. The server had three tables, and seemed like she was too busy. Had to wait for a pretty good while to get additional chips when we finished the initial order of them. When we were done and ready to go, the «computers were down» although the other servers had no issue using the computers, we had to end up waiting extra time to be able to leave. Normally, would not be an issue, but on a Sunday they had drag racing on, not football.

Happy hour is Awesome…
Food is hit and miss. Steaks are either good or below average.
Drinks are overpriced and watered down.
I’ve had numerous orders messed up.

My worst experience ever! We had a big party and received one bowl of chips and one small triangle shaped salsa of mild and hot. We ordered water with lemons and never received them for our drinks. Our food order was incorrect also from the wrong burritos to uncooked food and incomplete entrée’s. The service was extremely slow and poor, I could have cooked all of the meals by the time we got our chips. I will never go back to this location.

So we went there and it was awful. We ordered a chicken taco for my 3 year old son and they brought beef. I ordered an adult size taco meal and it was smaller than my kids taco meal. Mine was supposed to come with beans and rice and it didn’t, when I asked about it I was told that it didn’t come with beans and rice. I asked for a menu and it showed that my meal was in fact supposed to come with beans and rice. Also, my wife ordered an avocado chicken wrap and the avocado was brown. I’ll never go back.

Slooooowest servers ever. Food is mediocre. I ordered the mango chili chicken sandwich. It came out super fast but not very hot which makes me think it was just chillin in the back premade. Yummy tequila-​less margaritas but I guess you can’t complain too much because they’re always discounted.

My entire experience at this Tumbleweed was unpleasant. My partner and I decided to give this location a try because we have had good experiences at the River Rd. Tumbleweed near downtown.
The environment at the Bardstown location was less then desirable. Too dark and it was cold! The hostess was kind; however, our server was not so friendly. I don’t think she smiled once. This could have been overlooked if the food had been good. I ordered a taco salad and it was the worst taco salad I’ve ever had. The meat was dripping, the lettuce tasted old, and the majority of the «salad» was just nachos! The tortilla shell was the only thing edible in the salad. I don’t think I even ate a quarter of it.
For what it was, the price was too much. The food was bad, service was mostly bad, and everyone there (patrons and workers) just seemed sad.
If I’m craving Tumbleweed again (mainly for the salad croutons), I’ll only be going to the River Rd. location.

Loved the bacon butter filet with the twice bake potato and washed it down with a Viva Agave margarita.

Wow! This place is friendly and inviting food was great keep it up. Ill for sure be back and recommend you do to.

It’s time to stop patronizing this location. I dined on 1÷5÷10 with my husband for lunch. Within 2 hours of leaving this place I had terrible stomach pains and I was sick the remainder of the day. This was the only food I had all day. My husband also became sick. At this point, this location has lost me as a customer until they can get things right in the kitchen.

Out of all the locations in Louisville, this was the cleanest. I really like this place because its food is dependable and tasty. It is just like a Chili’s or Fridays, with a little more southwest/​bbq vibe. I would put queso on everything if it were possible. Also, since the location gets really busy on the weekends, i would order take out.
