Thomas Car Wash

This is one of the few places in town you can get a mini detail (fast detail) on your car. I wish we had more places like this. There are several packages to chose from starting from I believe $ 12 or $ 15.
I got a mini detail of my SUV for $ 26 — I chose one of the higher packages and mine included a vacuum, wipe down of the inside, wash, wax, armor-​all, shiny tires. Overall, a fairly good job. My car was filthy– two German Shepherds ride in the cargo area four days a week so the hair was astronomical and they did a pretty good job getting the hair out of the back, much better than I expected for a «mini» detail. They even got most of the «nose art» from my dogs! It only took about 15 – 20 minutes total time.
Overall impression: I’d use them again to clean up my SUV!

I’ve been to this place numerous times. It’s a little overpriced but they do a great job on the wash. They offer some additional services including express detail. One thing I really like is that the owner and his son are always drying the cars off. This helps them to look over your car when it’s complete. Anytime I’ve had an issue I just asked them to look over the car. I would definitely recommend this business.

A blind person would’ve done a better job cleaning my car.

There aren’t too many car washes in Louisville like I’m used to in Southern California because of the weather. And the car washes we do have in Louisville are mostly those drive-​thru washing services. You then have to vacuum and clean the inside of your car yourself. If the weather is warm enough that probably means I don’t want to spend time sweating around in my car picking up those lost gum wrappers or lint sticking around the seats. I know that sounds petty but it’s true. Thomas Car Wash is one of those places where you drop your car off to an attendant and they take the time to clean your car mats, vacuum your entire car, and then take it through the drive thru service, and they hand dry your car. I don’t mind that the car goes through the drive thru machine but the car washing places I used to go in California always had people alongside the car going through the drive thru helping along with any scrubbing that might be needed for heavier dirt build up. It was a nice touch and would be nice to see that here. Thomas Car Wash always seems to do a pretty good job in getting my car clean but it has lacked consistency with the «armor all» they use on the interior of the car– especially the cup holders area where it usually needs it the most. Over all– the place is a good and I will continue going back but if I find a place that does a more consistent job on my interior, I will probably go there instead.

I have tried Thomas Car Wash several times for my personal vehicle and my work vehicle. The hand wax job for $ 36 was a great deal. They did a pretty good job for the price, since it seems I never have extra time. However, there seems to be other areas they don’t cover we’ll enough. So, the other day I took my truck in to get a wax job, but they no longer do it, because «it was taking too much time.» They changed the system during a remodel several weeks ago. NOT a fan! I could have gotten a better and cheaper cleaning job done at the $ 3 car wash on Dixie Hwy. Why do people decide to change things that r working fine? «If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.» I could tell the difference w business also, because he was not nearly as busy as normal. Guess I will be looking for a new car wash. Any suggestions?
