Terri B.

Business Owner

An experienced pet professional, Terri has been active in the dog world for over 25 years. She served as the advisor to the mayor of Miami on animal affairs, acted as the Executive Director of the Nashville Humane Association, and volunteered with the Humane Society of the United State’s disaster recovery team. Animal rescue has been a constant in her life and she brings that passion to the Divine Canine and teams with local shelters and rescues to donate much needed services and save lives.

A retired fortune 500 marketing and financial executive, Terri combines business and animal expertise to enrich the lives of local pets. She lives with her four much loved and overly spoiled retrievers who can frequently be found greeting Divine Canine customers.

We’d been getting our doodle groomed here forever. And everyone is very friendly there. But two negative experiences have left us to search else where. Once our dog was cut pretty badly somehow, no one cared to explain how. And another, her hair was awfully cut diagonally and uneven. It was hilariously cute, but not good.

These guys are awesome! My dogs love coming here. The staff always remembers my dogs and they are well taken care of. They post photos daily of the dogs so I’m able to check in on them while I’m out of town. The negative reviews I have seen on Divine Canine were during the tenure of the previous owner. The new owners have been great and I’ve never had any problems with them.

Our dog seems to love the time she spends at Divine Canine. She is always happy to go in with her tail wagging and comes home completely worn out.
The staff here is super friendly and always helpful. Drop off is pretty seamless. Pickup sometimes gets backed up if you come right after work, but they do a good job trying to move everyone through.
We also love the pictures they post to the blog everyday. It’s such a great use of the technology and we love seeing the fun our dog is having during the day.
The care they provide is excellent, the only issue we have is that they are so popular they are sometimes difficult to get into. We’ve been unable to get our dog in for last minute day care, but if you’re able to plan out a little it’s not an issue. Would love to see them add more capacity for those of us that aren’t planners.

You can really tell how much they love dogs, they were patient and understanding with our pup from the start! We were taking our dog to Petsmart for grooming until they told us they couldn’t groom her because she kept trying to nip at them… she is terrified of the razor! The nice girl who groomed her at The Divine Canine didn’t think that was a problem at all, and after going a year without a professional grooming, she came away looking and smelling so nice!

If your dogs are like your kids like ours are, take them here. You know they will be well-​treated. The owner gets it when it comes to dogs and treats all dogs like they were her own. She fosters dogs as well. We have one easy going dog, one temperamental dog, and our son has an energetic fun loving pup. All three enjoy going there. If you want a place who is passionate about dogs, go to Divine Canine.

We LOVE Divine Canine! They take excellent care of my little Pomeranian. We’ve taken her to other doggie day cares and she is returned to us shaking and terrified. This is never the case when we pick her up from Divine Canine. She’s excited to see us, but never terrified nor traumatized. You can call in anytime to check on your pooch, the dog care providers are all very sweet, the pups get play time with other nice dogs their own size on playgrounds, puppy pools and yards. Top notch care for your furry friend!

We love this place. The people there are awesome and super nice on the phone and in person. My beagle, Brody, loves this place and is always dead tired whenever I pick him up (falls asleep in car within 5 minutes). We have also boarded him there and again, our pup loves it. Thanks Divine Canine!

Never again. We took our dog there for a trial daycare day and given its convenient location (for us) we had high hopes. Our first impression was that the facility was a little tired. Sure, it’s a place for dogs, but it is hard to not notice the general theme of a run-​down, smelly place. I suppose it’s not Divine Canine’s fault that there are newer and nicer places in Boulder County, but this is business — you’re compared to your competitors.
Anyways, we skipped past this and proceeded to schedule a 4 night stay for our dog later in the week, which we later regretted.
Our dog has overnighted in numerous kennels and gone to dozens of days of daycare. What made this one different? An eye infection and kennel cough. When I called after our vet visit to let Divine Canine know we wouldn’t be returning and why, all I got was a «this has never happened here» and «sorry». No offer to make amends to offset my vet bill.
Turns out, in talking to my wife’s sister, their dog stayed there in the past and also got kennel cough.
I would avoid this place. Paying an extra $ 3 someplace else is piece of mind that you’re unlikely to have to make a trip straight from Divine Canine to the vet to cure whatever infection your dog picked-​up at DC.

We’ve been taking both of our dogs there for almost 4 years now.
Our dogs are both very different in personality, and both love it. DC has extended their daycare to the weekends which is great!!! A lot of other places only have overnight boarding on the weekends.

My dog alternated between Divine Canine and Dog City for about a year. I worked in Boulder and Dog City was open later. So, my work scheduled determined where my dog spent the day.
The day I had a tour the facility looked clean and tidy. The dogs seemed to have a fair amount of covered outdoor space (less indoors) to play. Cost less than Dog city.
Although, I’ll admit my dog did seem to prefer Dog City. Was always more excited to get out of the car to go inside. I suspect this was due to Dog City’s staff doting on Tyler. He preferred people over dogs, and Divine Canine did seem to have fewer people on duty. My guess is he was more successful at manipulating Dog City staffers into giving him extra attention because they had more staffers to go around.
If you have the money, doggie day care is great to have. It’s great to pick up a tired dog after a long day at work. All the exercise kept my dog’s weight perfect. (Having the vet comment he could gain a pound or two was sure nice.)
If Divine Canine is on your way to/​from work, given them a try.
