Perfect place for lunch. Deli style sandwiches and a daily special! If I can manage to sway from my «go-to» turkey bruschetta, which is rare– the spaghetti special is amazing! But like I said it’s tough not ordering the turkey bruschetta! Turkey and Swiss with artichokes and cream cheese all melted and grilled panini style! Can’t be beat! Add the yummiest sweet tea downtown and the friendliest staff in Kentucky– it’s wonderful!

3 Stars makes this place just okay. The price for breakfast and lunch is great. The quality of the food and the services is «Just okay». I come here on a weekly bases because it is in the lobby of my work and it is convent. However, sometimes I dread getting food because the staff always seems to be having a bad day or is rude. But, then other days you do get great good and great service… it is always a toss up for me.

This café is a perfect lunch spot for people who want great food, excellent customer service all while watching your budget! The friendliest staff in Louisville work the counter and multitask like magicians, all while smiling and communicating with patrons.(lots of regular and returning customers) The food is very good quality and tastes wonderful, not to mention has a wide variety of healthy options that everyone will enjoy! There are sandwiches, salads, and chefs whims all complimented with a solid variety of sides from chips to fruit cups. Finally there is a fresh assortment of cookies and brownies that can be argued are some of the best in all of Louisville! If these can’t help you push through the afternoon grind nothing will! I would highly recommend the BBQ Chicken ciabatta que it style or the BBQ chicken salad. Half sweet tea half lemonade to drink and finish it with the caramel apple cookie!

Located in the lobby of the LG&E building, the Queue Café is one of my favorite lunch spots. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and quick, so don’t be discouraged if you go in and see a long line. I normally can get through a long line and get my food within 10 minutes(unless I order something hot, in which case I add a couple more minutes). They typically have a daily lunch special, but I am addicted to their Garden Turkey Sandwich. It’s turkey with feta cheese and cucumbers. Paired with their homemade hummus, unsweet tea(which is refillable), this lunch is not only filling but inexpensive. Their brownies and cookies are also very delicious. Another thing to note, they don’t have fountain drinks, but have a fridge leading up to the counter filled with bottles and cans.

There are a lot of places that I frequently return to because of their food, but there are very few that I come back to due to the exceptional service. The Queue falls into both these categories! They have a wide variety of options to suite most everyone’s taste, from salads, soups, and sandwiches to breakfast and desserts! The lady that runs the business isn’t your typical owner that sits behind the scenes. She is out working the counter every day, and doing it with a huge smile on her face! She takes the time to get to know her clientele and makes an effort to remember each and every person. After just my second time at the café she had already remembered who I was and even what I had previously ordered! She is far and away one of the sweetest individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting in the Louisville area! The café itself is located on the bottom floor of the LG&E building on main street. It has adequate seating and there is also free WiFi in the building. I highly recommend the chicken ciabata and get it queue style which is with BBQ sauce cheese! Also, if you are a chocolate fan, try one of their amazing brownies! They are HUGE and very moist, with chocolate chip pieces in them!

Working downtown, there are a ton of options for lunch. However, only a few restaurants downtown really shine – and this is one of them. I read about this place online and decided to check it out today. I walked into the LG&E building and almost couldn’t find this place. It’s tucked in the back right-side of the first floor. It seems like a relatively small joint, but it has an expansive menu full of sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. I ordered the turkey bruschetta panini: turkey, cheese, tomato, artichoke spread, olives on ciabatta bread; I ordered the pasta salad as my side. Within 5 minutes, my panini was ready to go. Bonus: The owner gave me a free chocolate chip cookie because she saw I was new and wanted to welcome me. How awesome is that?! I got back to my office and took everything out of the bag. The panini was HUGE – about the size of an iPad Mini… maybe I’m exaggerating, but it really was very large! And it tasted absolutely amazing. So warm and gooey with great flavor. The mixture of artichokes and olives made the sandwich a winner. The pasta salad was a star, too. Fresh, crisp vegetables mixed in with the pasta made it a refreshing delight. Let’s not forget the cookie – you can definitely tell they are made in the restaurant and are not store-bought. Big chocolate chunks in a chewy cookie – there’s no better way to end a great meal.(Except for maybe two cookies.) All-in-all, it was a great experience. Wonderful, fresh food just a short walk from my office makes Queue Café a must-go lunch spot for me. I can’t wait to go back and try everything else.

If you work downtown, this is a great place to grab a lunch to carry back to your desk. If you prefer to eat in, there are several dining tables in the adjacent spacious and well-lit lobby. Conveniently located in th lobby of the LG&E Building(EONUS Center), right across 3rd Street from the BBC, the Queue Café offers high quality food and excellent service for reasonable prices. On a warmer than usual day, I was offered a cup of ice water before I even got a chance to place my order. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches for around $ 6.50. I highly recommend the paninis(turkey bruschetta or tomato artichoke).

Great food, very friendly staff. Line gets a little long around noon but it’s still faster than most places, and much better food than you might expect from a smaller place like this.
