Ken Towery’s Tire & Autocare

Great service and very fast! Very straightforward and knowledgable staff. They were friendly too.
I was afraid from all of the bad reviews and was desperate with a flat. So I was happy to see they were unfounded for me. They fixed my flat and found I was in need of brakes. And no, I wasn’t suckered into that either. I had made it 89,000 miles in those brakes and the guy warned me I was close to having to get new rotors if I didn’t change them soon either with them or another company. There was no pressure and I appreciated them giving me the facts! He saved me from having to buy rotors in the near future.

Bought four tires from them and have had problems with my car making noise ever since. Very unresponsive to the problem other to offer to sell me four more of the same tires.

Came here for four new tires and they failed to balance the tires causing my car to shake violently if I exceeded 50 mph. Went back to have them fix it and they say your tires are perfect I’m not sure why your car is shaking. It wasn’t shaking before I came in? What do you think it was?! At least they didn’t charge me for their stupidity.

I generally use another Ken Towery location for oil changes, but I went to this one because of a time constraint. While my car was up for an oil change, I got a call from them saying that the tie rods and cv boot needed repair. My mechanic of over 8 years is just up the street, so I wanted him to take a look at it. To Towery’s only credit, they didn’t try to press me to get the repair done there.
However, once my mechanic took a look, he found that, while the tie rods did need replacing, the cv boot was fine. He also showed me where the oil pan threads had been stripped and the wrong model oil plug. Additionally, Towery had not even done the oil change despite charging me for it.
Never going back to this location, and the chain has probably lost my business if a location is allowed to run like this.

Worst car repair experience of my adult life. Arrived at opening time and was first in line. TWO hours later, I am finally walking out. Over-​prices tires and gouged on pricing for basic oil change and tire alignment (which, in my opinion, should be FREE when you buy 3 new tires). So, long wait time, high prices and poor communication from the staff here all adds up to me never coming back here again. Wish I had read the other reviews before I randomly stopped in.

Terrible service. Made an appointment for 7:30a. Was told 1hr for tire change and took over 3 hours. Also was over charged by $ 10 per tire and had to remind them to charge correct price.
To top it off they give a terrible experience on the customer service I asked the service person why he quotes 1 hour and we are coming up on 3hrs and he said we forgot we only had 3 tires and had to order one from another store. I said it would be nice of they told me that. He said yea that’s a long wait huh! To top it off we have to go back as we heard a loud sound coming from one of the tires. Guess what it was thre factory sticker. This is unacceptable! I have been to a ton of tire shops in my life and I don’t expect much but this is by far the worst.

Can’t keep appointments. Said tires in stock and weren’t. Don’t know what brand of tire a specific model is. Don’t know about promotions available. Price in store doesn’t match advertised price.
Need I go on?

I went to Ken Towerys (I’ve used various locations, so this is a comment on the company as a whole) on the suggestion of a friend whose brother actually works for them. This didn’t earn me good service.
Yes, their prices are initially more affordable. But that’s ONLY if they fix the problem the first time. I fully believe I was lied to in the process of my repair, though I have no proof. And in the end, I ended up paying double what I would have paid if I had just gone to the dealership to have the issue taken care of… and then had to pay the dealership to fix it AGAIN anyway. They (Ken Towerys) kept telling me that the things they fixed the time before were different from what they told me at the time. I was being double charged for the same work that had to be done again within a month of the prior repair. I got the feeling they were completely uninterested in *actually* fixing my car AND in keeping me as a customer.
I have no intention of ever using Ken Towerys services again, at any location.
