ABSOLUTELYHORRIBLE. There isn’t even wifi?! I almost gave this place 2. Stars but it took me 20 mins for my review to be posted so I took it down to one. But on a serious note. I would rather be disemboweled and fed my own Intestines than try their banana special again. As someone who considers himself a connoisseur of banana splits I feel it’s my job to warn any potential customers of this tragedy they call the banana special again. Worst day of my life. Burn in the depths of Mephistopheles’ lair Graeter’s. You weren’t Graet.

Normally we hit the frozen yogurt shops, but this is close to the house. What I think is so cool is that the employees here are people. Some places seem to have robots working behind the counter that remind me of the It’s a Small World ride at Disney. Not here, though. On a recent trip the guy working really went out of his way to interact with our young girls. Hate to admit it but I thought it was fake until I watched him cheerfully interact with each and every family that was in line after us. Little stuff like that is actually big stuff and my girls loved it. Friendly staff just makes ice cream better! They have a great selection and we have yet to go in and have anything that we would not have again. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, the price is right, plenty of parking, and our girls love it. Can’t really ask for more than that.

Heaping punts of ice cream, whipped cream, marshmallow topping, cherry and top it all off… Awesome friendly service by Dora!

Being. New to the area I heard from many locals that this was the place to go for ice cream. As advertised the ice cream is very good. Giant chunks of fresh ingredients. Ice cream itself is velvety and creamy. The girls behind the counter were very nice and made my family feel right at home recommending their favorite flavors. I am already thinking about what flavor to choose on my next visit.

We lived right in the middle between this store and the location on Hurstbourne. This location was generally cleaner and better kept, so it’s the one we would typically visit. Graeter’s does it the old fashioned way, in small batches(look up French Pot Process), and it’s packed by hand. My favorite ingredient, chocolate is literally broken chunks of chocolate that is mixed in by hand. None of this pre-formed, cookie-cutter chocolate morsels junk. The chocolate is good quality, and the chips are usually HUGE! The ice cream itself is very creamy and rich, most likely the result of low overrun. I’d even suggest that’s it’s probably better than any I’ve ever been able to make at home. They do a fantastic job and quality control is incredible considering the small batch process they use.

I miss Graeter’s already. I think there’s a different deal every month. In April, it’s buy one, get one free sundaes if it rains. Oh, and it rained on my visit! I love the giant chunks of chocolate chips in a lot of the flavor offerings. My cookie dough chip was more humongo chip than it was cookie dough, but I was fine with that. Check out the new pretzel cones too. Gotta love the sweet and salty combo.
