I wasn’t the customer per se I was with the customer. Remember in the 80’s and 90’s when you could tell it was a glamour shot photo, nice hair, make up — decent picture. Not anymore. Amatuer makeup artist that could only do makeup to the same style she has and that girl watched too much Jersey shore. The photo quality was just not there. Twice she had to call somewhere to ask how to refocus the shot. So sad because the expectations were really high.

Well, although, I do have to say that our experience left a bit to be desired… and it was requested that I take my post down. Even after reading it I still decided not to, as I am not sure I wholeheartedly disagree with what was stated. I spoke with the one and only manager/owner about my concerns, and well — I have to say she was quick to comeback with a retort. We came in on the day the new makeup brushes had been reordered, she apologized profusely. She assured me she not only cleans every brush comb, clip, etc that she uses barbasol on them and there were jars located at every station to my left. That’s a bit hard to miss those big clear –blue containers of barbasol at every station — but — hey who am I to discount I *may* have overlooked it? I can admit when I’m wrong. When dealing with this small business, I think they could still do better on cleanliness of product and cross-contamination, however it sounds like according to the owner they are up to par with codes and regulations I’m just a customer. *shrugs* no problem. I would like to note, however, that I’m following through with this addendum for at nearly 1:30 in this fine morning, after a long day of school, grocery shopping, doctor’s appointments, and finally rushing my daughter to the hospital, etc, etc… was BEcause I was amazed — utterly amazed at the professionalism and courtesy that this woman maintained. The grace and decorum that although she felt«personally offended and hurt,» even though I’ve only met her once, maybe twice — but she obviously does take her job to heart — I give her major kudos for that. She did work out the issues with groupon that made me feel like a more satisfied customer… and if there were more like her in the business of making customers happy, we wouldn’t have unhappy customers. As for the pricing — they are there to sell — I guess that’s the nature of the beast. So buyer beware, from everything to sepia to black and white, which I find so simplistic of details with computer imagining today it seems like highway robbery — but I suppose everyone has to make a buck. I can kind of understand framing and matting and things — but simple tweaking — naa — that just takes a flick of the mouse these days and not for those prices. So — just go into it knowing you’ll spend a small fortune, second mortgage on your home — take out a few small loans — things of that nature. Otherwise, this woman really through me for a loop today — well now yesterday. She called during an appointment — wanting to immediately address my comments on Unilocal,I’m sitting at a doctor’s office, and politely asked to call her back, she honestly didn’t think I would — I don’t believe she has a modicum of faith that I will be honest about her abilities as a businessperson. She is a real savvy businessperson, and I applaud her for her business communication skills — she has a lot personally invested in her business and I suppose it shows in that aspect! IF you ever go to this place and are unhappy — speak up, she will do what is in her power and her will to see to it that you are… while maintaining the integrity of the name of her store. As for the snippiness in my first review, she apologized profusely stating that she was simply trying to accommodate us.
