My coworker and I have been going here once or twice a month for lunch for a few months, although we had also gone last year a few times. We seem to be on a kick right now. LOL! But we find the lunch prices(from 11 – 3:30) are very good, and we like the half price sushi on Monday and Tuesday. But what has really been keeping us coming back recently is the variety and quality of our food. We tend to go for the sushi or Thai items over the Chinese, but have enjoyed anything we have gotten, and we try something new almost everytime. Highly recommend this place for a delicious Asian lunch at a reasonable price.

Went here for lunch with some friends for the first time. Very nice place on the inside. Intimate, clean, neat lighting. We ordered lots of different stuff. It ranges from avg to above avg in taste but excellent in presentation. The service was fantastic and overall it’s a great spot. I think the outside of the building does not do the inside justice!

Mondays and Tuesdays are 50% off days. I think it is only select items that are ½ off, but it is a good deal. I had hot tea. The waitress brought it in a cup, no teapot, so it did get cool, but I do not think I was charged, for it. Green tea was the only option. The California Roll was good. It did not stay rolled very well. The Crazy Roll was good, as well, but not very flavorful. Service was not great. We sat for a long time, before being waited on. They were not crowded, but maybe they needed more wait staff working. Usually, the waiter/waitress asks if you want anything else, especially, in a sushi place, where you may not order all at once. The bill just showed up. So, we were done… If you are looking for decent sushi, for cheap, this is the place. The restaurant interior was decorated very nicely. It had a nice, relaxing feel.

I was so excited to try Ginza Asian Bistro based on the amazing photos and excellent prices, and although there were some small hiccups, it was an overall very pleasant experience. We made a reservation(not really necessary, I know now) on New Year’s Eve for 8:00pm and the restaurant was about 1⁄3 full with only two servers for all of the tables. As the night went on the restaurant began to fill up more, leaving the waitresses a little overwhelmed. Our soups and salads(we chose Japanese dishes, so miso soup and ginger dressing salad) were delivered quickly and they were delicious, but the portions were very small. If you choose a meal from the Chinese portion of the menu you will have a Chinese inspired soup and salad instead of miso and ginger. I loved that idea! This restaurant has a large variety of Asian cuisine, Japanese, Chinese and Thai being the most notable, each perfectly defined with their own appetizers and sides. There is a dish that any picky eater can find and enjoy. Logan ordered eight spicy tuna rolls which came out between the soups/salads and the entrees. He really enjoyed them and scarfed them down quickly. I ordered the tomago rolls, which were delivered much later in the meal after a communication error. The server believed that I had canceled the order, but it was a pretty quick fix and I got those after the entrée. The egg custard was firm and the sushi was made with a lot of skill. There was another communication error before I received the correct item, and I was presented with the Mango Madness roll on accident and although I didn’t eat it it was really stunning. I almost just took it and ate that one instead of my original order because it looked so good. Although there was a few mishaps with this, there was no harm done and didn’t result in me taking off a star. I ordered the Teriyaki steak and it was served beautifully on a large textured white dish with a small bowl of the best sticky white rice that I’ve ever had. I was so impressed with this rice that I intend to attempt to imitate it the best that I can and I even bought a new rice cooker the very next day. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked. It was about as delicate as a steak could be and an excellent price at(14.95). I loved the interior, it was modern with wooden booths and a beautiful bar and sushi bar. This is a great date night spot! Overall: The prices are low for a Japanese style bistro and it offers a lot of variety that’s presented with care and pride. The service is friendly, but a bit slow due to the small staff. The portions are much smaller than I’m used to at my local Japanese steakhouse, Tomo, and I left unsatisfied and ended up snacking not long after the meal. If you live near here, I absolutely recommend it, but as this is a thirty minute drive for me, I may have to stick with Tomo. Note: I would like to mention that the meal took so long that Logan was tired of being there, so I didn’t get to try the tempura fried green tea ice cream, so I hope someone tries it for me!

Having been here a number of times now, I’m comfortable with an upgrade to 5*. The real deal here remains the 50%-off Mondays and Tuesdays, but I’ve also tried the Chinese and hibachi dishes, and they are solid. Service is super-friendly, and the ambiance is such that I often bring my laptop and spend a couple of hours here getting work done. Another plus is that they’re open late most nights.

The place smelled like old fish when I walked in, but it looked clean so I ignored it. The decoration was nice and the service was pleasant. But the food was terrible. I ordered several simple items that are hard to mess up. Vegetable fried rice, cucumber roll, avocado roll, asparagus roll, and egg drop soup. The first two things brought out were the soup and rice. The rice looked days old. I could have had better rice from the freezer. The soup was thick and old tasting too. So by that point I didn’t have much faith in the rolls. The rice was old and the cucumber tasted funny. Lesson learned. Never go to a place that has half price sushi on Mondays. If ppl don’t come for the food at regular price(which was reasonable) then why would half price fix anything? I didn’t complain to the waitress. I could have but what could they do to fix it? The basics(rice) were no good. There was no hope. In other words. I cannot recommend this place. It was horrible. I’m ashamed that any other reviewers felt OK with recommending this place. Yuck!

We have been here a few times and the quality is consistently good. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. There is a nice selection of all types of Asian food and sushi. They will accommodate special orders with no problem. The sushi is fresh and very good. We have been here enough times to know that the quality is consistent. I recommend coming here and giving it a try.

I love Ginza and their awesome ½ off sushi Monday & Tuesdays! It’s delicious, inexpensive & never too packed. If you’re not looking to splurge but still enjoy your sushi fix, this is the place to go.

My wife went for the half of sushi this past Tuesday night and boy were we excited. The Wanton soup is a must, and flavor packed at a great price point. We ordered various rolls and were not let down. We will be back every week.

Month ago, I would have given this place 4 stars. I would much rather go for 2.5, but not an option. Last trip there, the food was quite noticeably lower in quality than previous visits, which is a shame. My spider roll was way too loose. The hot and sour soup had zero flavor, but was at least temperature hot. The tuna tataki lacked… something. The pad thai reminded me of a frozen meal I got from Trader Joe’s. Hope they can improve their food quality soon.

Mediocre. The mango Thai chicken rated like fried chicken in sticky ketchup. The service was nice, but you can find nice service just about anywhere on this side of town.

This has got to have the most affordable sushi in this city and its fresh as well. I tried the eel roll, California roll and the shrimp tempura roll. The first two were perfectly sized and while the third was tasty I am not a huge fan of sushi so big one can’t fit it into your mouth. It pairs well with their honey mustardy ginger dressing for $ 10.95 during lunch, which is quite the steal. I will absolutely be back to try some of their Thai offerings, but for this trip I left very happy with just the sushi.

My boyfriend and I went to Ginza around 2:00 on a Sunday for a little late lunch. As to be expected at that time of day, the restaurant was all but deserted. We were seated promptly and ordered an order of crab rangoon to start. Oh my! It was delicious, perfectly sweet, and I could actually taste the crab. I had the sushi lunch special with 2 rolls and a ginger salad. I did not care for the ginger dressing on the salad, it had a bit more of a honey mustard taste than a ginger one. I chose the spicy crab roll and the Philadelphia roll. They were both done well. My boyfriend chose the green curry Thai lunch special and he enjoyed it as well. I will definitely be returning to Ginza to try some of their special rolls!

Had lunch here a few days ago with my girlfriend. It was a Sunday and pretty empty, we were between the church rush and dinner crowd. We ordered a couple large Sapporo beers and crab Rangoon, which was quite tasty. She got a few sushi rolls which were pretty tasty — one of them was called the Pink Dragon, the Philadelphia roll, and another I can’t remember. I got the red curry, medium hot. I don’t think would have handled the hot, but this had just enough heat. All in all, our meal was very good. Go during lunch time if you want to save money, as their lunch portions are cheaper. Also the staff were very friendly and on top of refills and checking on is. We will definitely be coming back.

The food was descent but could use a little more flavor. I got the red curry medium hot and it wasn’t very hot or flavorful. My friend got the general tso chicken and it was a small portion. I saw someone eating sushi and it looked really good. If I come back I would get the sushi.

Whether lunch or dinner this place is great. I’ve mostly just had sushi here but they have a wide variety of Asian dishes on the menu. The sushi is fresh and some the best in town. Their lunch special is around $ 10 and includes plenty of options and food. Service is always great, never a packed house so you can get in and out, nice sushi bar and regular bar. Easy to get to but a little hidden and lots of parking. Have private rooms to sit with a small group for more intimate experience. Love this place!!! Can’t say enough good things about it. The only thing I do not like is their ginger salad, its not what I’m used to with other sushi restaurants.

Fusion done tastefully. After what seemed like endless days of ham, ham and ham, my taste buds were ready for some excitement. Hubby was happy to indulge me in our new tradition of exotic food post Christmas. Ginza filled in that need for us today. I jumped in and ordered the Sushi Deluxe and hubby ordered their Mongolian Beef. After the accompanying miso soup and salad, I devoured my sushi: salmon, tuna, snapper, red clam and a tuna roll. They were fresh and beautifully presented with an orchid and carved Ti leaf. The glowing neon LED light seemed a bit excessive for me, but that’s just me. Hubby was pleasantly surprised by the heat in his Mongolian Beef. The beef was tender and the ratio of beef to onion is on par with other ones he’s had around town. I find the sauce tasting oddly similar to the Lad Nar noodles I had the last time I was here. Should they be similar? No. But I still did enjoy both dishes. Besides Japanese and Chinese foods, they also offer Thai and hibachi dishes. But there are no open hibachi tables in the dining space. This allows for a much more intimate dining experience. There are also three semi enclosed rooms that seats up to 6 people if you want to have a small group gathering. You will not find uni, grilled beef tongue or ankimo here, but you will find a diverse menu and nice dining atmosphere. Oh, and that grilled hamachi collar is not to be missed.

High expectations? Not really. Pleasantly surprised? Absolutely! I went with a fellow Unilocaler to try out this new Asian bistro. My expectations weren’t very high, because honestly, its been hard to find an establishment that can successfully serve several types of cuisine and knock them all out of the park. We were both starving and willing to give it a shot. We showed up a little after 6 and there’s was maybe 2 – 3 other small parties dining. They seemed very content as they didn’t even notice us. They were busy stuffing their faces with tempura, sushi, noodles, and miso soup! Great food will do that to a food lover. Nothing else matters … it’s just you and dinner. The staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was great! Not only did it taste so very yummy, the presentation was out of this world! My volcano roll came to me all lit up with a color-changing light thingy. Very cool … so of course I had to take a photo! Definitely coming back, again and again. Great ambiance! With parties of 6, they have a side room with floor cushions to sit on :) and the bathroom was very unique … check out the sink and faucet!

This place is a little hard to see which makes me hope that it stays in business because it is TASTY! The ambiance is lovely with very comfy chairs :) The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was very clean and I loved the bathrooms! I got the shrimp and vegetable tempura which comes with miso soup and a salad. Everything was delicious :) large portions and very crispy. Definitely coming back here again!
