Flour Power is a Whole Grain Bakery which is Kentucky Proud. I have been baking for over 20 years. Like everyone else I was baking with white flour. Five years ago I researched flour to find out that white flour is one of the worst things we are ingesting. In fact, it was blamed (along with soda) to be a major factor in the early onset of childhood diabetes and Type 2 diabetes in adults.
I purchase wheat berries and mill them into flour. Everything I bake is made using that freshly milled flour. I have the most nutritious and delicious items here in Louisville and I would love for you to sample them. Everything that is made with white flour can be made with whole grain wheat flour which is what I do. Some of my items include: Cinnamon Rolls, Scones, Muffins, Bagels, Naan, Pita Bread, Assortment of Breads including Artisan and Sour Dough, Sandwich Buns, Rosemary Focaccia and a vast assortment of Pies and cookies, to name a few. All of my desserts are 100% whole grain.
