Coal Creek Family Medicine

This place is usually able to get me in on the same day I make an appointment, but it’s usually with the P.A. and not my Doc. That’s okay though. The ladies at the front desk are super friendly and helpful, and when I do get to see my doc, I really like him.

I’ve been going here since I was a teen. Now my own children are patients here. The front desk folks leave a lot to be desired. Especially that grumpy old toad with the Tiffany glasses. That aside, the office is great. I see their PA, Christina DeFelice. She is AMAZING all the way around. I travel 45 minutes from Longmont just to see her.

Called to pay a bill and the amoeba that answered the phone was obviously having a bad start to the week. Not sure why they put someone with poor customer service skills on phone duty.

I love this doctors office. I have been going to Coal Creek Family Medicine since I can remember. The doctors listen their patients needs, and are incredibly kind. They are so busy and booked up that sometimes you can be waiting for your appointment for awhile. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience.

I recently started going here after problems with my old doctor. I really like all the doctors and receptionists here. Everyone is very kind and professional. I will continue going here for years to come and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a doctor.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at this place. I have been going for years, and it has gone down hill since Dr Hudson left. I went in there, sick as I have ever been, in June. No other patients were in there, and there were 3 employees, one was the office manager, all huddled at the reception desk. NONE acknowledged me, and were all talking about «Petty Cash» (infront of a patient nonetheless) for 15 minutes before they decided to check me in. I could write a novel about my bad experience, but you probably wont read to the end. The big muffin eating office manager kept giving me nasty looks about why I was glaring at them to get them to check me in and shut the heck up (and not just sitting my butt down). ***NOTE they have a sign right there that says if you are not acknowledged in 10 minutes, speak up. (Too bad I didnt throw a fit right there). I went back the next day for a follow-​up and I sat in the room by myself for 45 minutes before the doctor came. It has gotten worse and worse for the last 4 or so years. I WILL NOT GO BACK. Send my $ 5 to collection, I dont give a rats butt.

After I read all the good reviews on Unilocal,I went there for a wellness check.
First, they messed up all my information and mistook me for somebody else with similar surname. I was glad they finally got it right after long delay.
Two weeks later, my lab test results came back. They FORGOT to check one item which I in specific requested. I was told «For WHATEVER reason, it’s not showing on your lab test.» Even worse, they asked me to go back for another round of blood draw, to FIX THEIR MISTAKE.
This is just a simple wellness check and they already showed their potential in medical negligence. Smiling and greeting to patients does not mean medical practitioners can stop being professional and respecting people who trust them.
Looks like my 3 tubes of blood are down the drain and to no avail…

I live in Evergreen and come all the way here for the past 20 years because quiet frankly they are the best group of Dr’s and staff you could have. You feel like family and the level of care is beyond stellar. My primary is Dr Talamantes but another bonus is that if she isn’t available any of the other Dr’s are just as great. The staff and nurses are kind and do a great job as well. If I had more than 2 thumbs. I’d give CCFM a quadruple thumbs up!

I’ve been living in Colorado for 7 years and have been looking for a primary care physician. Marcie Lavigne is knowledgeable, NICE, friendly, and caring. I am happy to finally feel comfortable going to the doctor.

I love this office– I feel like the doctors are really great and have always taken time to make me feel at ease knowing my overall fear of doctors. The nurses are nice and they are generally pretty quick to get back to you with test results and to call in RX’s For you. The front desk is nice and quick and they are paperless which is nice. Easy to get an appointment and they are open late. Dr Lavigne is awesome so i would tell just about anyone i know to go and see her. She’s bubbly, smart and funny!

I’ve been using this clinic for a few years now. I have mixed feelings about it. Nothing really terrible has happened, and nothing really fantastic to really set them apart from other clinics. EXCEPT… I must say, their PA Debbie Neelon is top-​notch, and I really enjoyed meeting her.
I have also left messages before for the doctor only to have the nurse call back, sitting right next to the doctor. The nurse will relay what I’ve said to the doc, who will respond. Come on! I don’t mind the nurse calling instead, but if you’re just going to be a go-​between for the doctor, put the doctor on the phone!
On the upside, front desk staff are friendly and the nurses are all great. They have extended hours (open till 8 most nights) and are able to get you in the same day you call.
This used to be a convenient location for me, right between home and work. Now I have a new job, and it’s not so convenient. It’s certainly not worth it for me to drive all the way up there, so I’m looking for a new clinic in my neck of the woods…
