In writing this review I want to be as factual as possible. The initial repair attempt on my refrigerator by this company and it’s representative failed and caused more extensive damage. I was unable to get anyone from this establishment to return to my home to correct the issue. On one occasion I had to cancel and reschedule. On two occasions the appointments were cancelled by the company and it’s representatives. In one instance, I was not informed that the technician was not able to uphold the appointment(no call, no show). Multiple attempts have been made to obtain reimbursement for the attempted repairs. So far no reimbursement of any type has been provided.

I called Bluegrass Appliance Repair yesterday morning because my refrigerator was not cooling. They were able to get someone out to my house the same afternoon. The technician thought that he might not have the necessary parts to fix my problem — but he double checked his truck bc he saw that without his help we were going to lose about $ 250 worth of food. Tech was able to find the valve needed and had my refrigerator fixed and ready to go within about an hour. He was polite and took the time to explain what he was doing and why the repairs were necessary every step of the way. I feel like I left the situation knowing just a little more about how my refrigerator works. My mother recommended this company to me and I would most certainly recommend them to any friend or family member who runs into appliance problems in the future. Thank you for your help! Keep up the excellent customer service.

Our refrigerator was not cooling so we called Bluegrass Appliance Repair and on July 25th, Robert, the manager we were told, came to our house to determine that our refrigerator needed a damper and assembly to fix it. We were asked to pay $ 323.05 up front so that he could order the part. We wrote a check for that amount and signed a document which stated that the part was not refundable. The next day the refrigerator started working again on its own and has been working without issue ever since. We called Bluegrass Appliance on July 28th to cancel the part order but Mary said it was already ordered and we could not be refunded. We tried to stop the check but it had been cashed. We decided that we should at least be given the ordered part in case we ever needed it one day. We called Bluegrass appliance and spoke to Mary who kept saying that she would have Robert call us as he is never available and she would not give out his cell phone number. He has never called us back. We have continued to call(about 5 – 10 times now) but are told that Rob will have to call us back. He never does. I stopped in to the office on December 2, 2014 and no one from BlueGrass Appliance was there. A person sharing that office space called Mary for me and Mary told that they sent the part back to the manufacturer and couldn’t give us the part of a refund. She would call me back that afternoon. I have not heard back at this time from her or Robert. We understand that we signed an agreement saying that the part was non-refundable but they can’t seem to provide us with the part or even call us back. To us this constitutes blatant fraud since it is obvious that they had no intention of honoring their own contract. We would settle for receiving the part from them but if needed and went to small claims court want to get a full refund back due to the fraud involved. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and will take them to small claims court next. As of 12/15/2014, The BBB complaint caused them to finally reach out to me and we came to an agreement to resolve the matter. I would not recommend doing business with them.
