I grew up on Baskin Robbins chocolate chip ice cream. It will be my favorite ice cream until the day I die. So my low score represents less about the ice cream and more about the atmosphere and staff. The menu offers 31 ice cream options, as the name promotes, which includes sherbets and a couple of sugar-free options. The standards will always be available but Baskin Robbins switches up what’s available and typically has a flavor of the month. You’re also going to find shakes, sundaes, soft serve and banana splits. Pre-packed pints are available as well as ice cream cakes. My disappointment in this location was due to the staff and cleanliness of the restaurant. Two young kids were serving customers but engaging only with each other. They almost seemed dazed when customers asked a question or placed an order. The young guy’s clothing was filthy and sloppy(i.e. baggy sweats). The tables were super dirty with splatters of dried up ice cream and the floor … well, don’t look down. You’ll want to leave immediately. The biggest kicker was when my son asked about the restroom. He was told«we don’t have one for customers». I was shocked. While grabbing an ice cream doesn’t take the time of a dinner, Baskin Robbins offers an eating area inside. A restroom should be available to the customers, especially when several of us are families with young children. There’s nothing special about Baskin Robbins compared to the local spots like Comfy Cow and Graeters. This location needs to step up its game if it wants to rebuild a reputation for the spot to visit.

Baskin Robbins… The Applebee’s of ice cream shops. Okay, it’s not that bad. But yes, Baskin Robbins is the chainiest ice cream shop around, and it does give off that impersonal, corporate vibe. As you probably expect, the ice cream lacks the freshness that you’ll find from local places. On occasion, I’ve been served a scoop with frozen ice chunks or freezer burn. Still, it’s ice cream. It’s not bad, and it’s definitely sufficient to satisfy that sweet tooth. There’s plenty of flavors to choose from. I believe they boast 31 flavors at a given time. There are a lot of classic flavors, as well as modern favorites. Their flavors aren’t the most inventive, but again, that’s to be expected at a chain. With all the choices, it’s easy to find something you’ll like. My personal favorites are Praline’s and Cream or Cherries Jubilee. Since this shop is within walking distance to my house, I frequent here more than I’d like. If you’re in the area or your only choice is a Baskin Robbins, it’s not a bad option.

I took my in-laws when they came to town & immediately after handing it to me, the ice cream fell off of the ill-made cone onto the floor. When I asked them to remake it, the same person who watched me drop it made me PAYFORANOTHERONE. Seriously? We never went back. Very disappointing. The DQ across the street is great & if you’re on a walk, stop by the Family Dollar and get a box of sundae cones instead!

This baskin robins is a basket case. Prepping the store for close early. Putting the chairs up way before closing and what’s with only having 16 favors!!! Not to mention the rude staff who looked at me like I have three heads when I asked for a little icing on my scoop!
