Abo’s Pizza

Okay good food I’ll give them that, but the employees are not on their game. I’ve been over charged and they did nothing to fix it. They have missed my call in order didnt apologize and made me wait exactly one hour for a few slices of pizza. and before I left the man who was working called me an Asshole for something HE did wrong (not writing down take out orders).
Love the owners but they really need a new staff or they are going to lose customer.

Awful all around. Literally the only good part was speed of service. Pizza slice was smaller than other area Abo’s, spicy ranch literally tasted like ranch mixed with Taco Bell «Fire» sauce, Garlic bread consisted of Garlic, and bread, no butter or anything, $ 5 for a salad that is supposed to be an entrée but is smaller than a side, the list goes on. On top of that, the old ESL man at the register was extremely rude. We won’t be back.

Absolutely awful customer service. After ordering three pizzas, they called to say that they could not find my address. I gave them the address again, and told them the name of the apartment complex. They called back 20 minutes later, to say that they couldn’t find my address, and said the street I was giving them was in Denver (it obviously was not). I gave them the address and the name of the complex again. This process repeated another 2 times. After two hours, we decided that we just needed to eat and would find another option. I called to cancel the order and they kept insisting that the driver was «just a few minutes away». I told them that was no longer the point and that we didn’t want the pizzas. They kept refusing to cancel the order and at that point and when I persisted, an Indian man came on the line and started yelling at me that I never gave them an address (which I had, several times, in addition to the complex name), kept insisting that «the problem was with me», then hung up on me. My fiancée called them back, as I had lost my temper by that point, and in spite of her being perfectly polite, the Indian guy started yelling at her. Then, a female manager called me back to berate me some more and continue to insist that I never gave them an address. This place will never see business from me again.

Ordered pizza for delivery, and after an hour received a call reconfirming our address. Explained we were in an apartment, and where it was located. Fast forward almost another hour later when they called yet again «unable to find our address»
Finally, we ask to cancel the order as we need to eat and obviously they are not even close to delivering it. We are handed over to another employee who now claims we never gave them a correct address and it is our fault the pizza is late but it is still on the way. Things get heated as we ask for a refund since they can’t seem to fulfill the order.
Finally, I call back myself as a new voice in the situation. As I try to explain we just need to cancel the order because no one will be here if they try to deliver as we needed food an hour ago for a large group, whether we were able to get a refund or not, I am told I’m unreasonable, that it is my fault and there is no refund. Yelling at me, and not listening to anything I’m trying to explain.
These people have the WORST customer service! Not only did HE DID NOT listen as I said if there is no chance of refund that is fine, I just don’t need the pizzas any longer and that we would never order from them again, HE proceeded to yell at me that they NEVER want our business again. Then a manager called to chastise us for hanging up on the employee yelling at me. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE… THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, no apologies, no listening, just YOU’RE WRONG and YOU’RE THE PROBLEM. Not worth it at all!

I spent over $ 40 dollars on two 12″ pizzas. Delivery took over an hour to our house (though we live 5 min away), but that wasn’t the issue. When we received the pizzas we were very upset with the quality for how much we paid for them. The pizzas were pathetic, and clearly ingredients had been skimped on. Hardly any veggies, hardly any sauce etc. The pizzas were lukewarm at best. I called to complain about the quality and the manager (who’s first language clearly isn’t English) started yelling at ME, telling me I had no right to complain! Saying things like, «I made that pizza myself, I know it’s quality. what does quality mean to you?» etc. I tried to explain, but he would only talk over me and after a yelling match on the phone said he was sending his driver back to pick up the pizzas. When I was on the phone part of one of the pizza’s had been partially eaten by my roommate who didn’t know the situation as I was upstairs — and when the driver got back with the pizzas, the manager made sure to call me back and complain that part of the pizza had been eaten and hung up on me. WOW. What a terrible experience.
PS — I made sure to tip the driver regardless. That was the only part worth it in this whole experience… but NEVER AGAIN.

I’ve been here a couple of times so as not to judge on one bad experience. Let me tell you, it’s consistently bad. Very disorganized, only one person has any customer service skills, they overcharge for orders, it’s dirty, and it’s generally a poor experience. The pizza is actually okay, but hard to get past all the other rigamarole
I don’t like to give bad reviews but stay away from this place. I won’t be back.

Poor management. The owner is obnoxious and yells at his staff in front of customers. The pizza is hit or miss and for the price, it really should t miss as badly as it does. If you’re looking for pizza — move along, this is not the pizza you’re looking for…

Customer service is severely lacking. We walked in to grab a quick slice and it took the two people behind the counter about 3 minutes to acknowledge our existence (this is when I should have left). One fella sitting on a bucket in the corner with his face in his hands finally stood up like he had the roughest day on the planet and we were ruining it even more by walking in, proceeded to grumpily take our order. Walked over to the toppings and without washing his hands, put them into the dishes and applied them to our slices… ewww! On top of that the iced tea tasted really bad and when I let them know, their reply was to scream WHY?!? at me… Well, because it tastes BAD. They then proceeded to tell me that the tea was made a couple of days ago. WHAT!?! Does it sit on the counter without refrigeration the entire time? YES! DISGUSTING! Needless to say, its best to steer clear of this little place.

What a joke! Pizza by the slice– 2 slices with one topping and a soda= $ 7. Order 1 slice with sausage, 1 slice just cheese with that soda??? Over $ 9! I was fine paying the same price for the deal and getting one less topping. Getting one less topping and pay $ 2 MORE?! Uh, no. Mention that it makes NO sense and they’ll just walk away from you and ignore you. Terrible customer service.

I walked in to the Louisville store to order a pizza on Saturday at 5:30. It took five minutes for anyone to acknowledge me standing there. Some man was washing dishes and finally came up to take my order. I don’t even know if his hands were clean. He seemed very put out that I actually wanted to order food. Since I was waiting I figured I’d have a beer. I asked for a Peroni and he said the price for one bottle of beer was $ 4.80! I said I’m sure it can’t be $ 5 for one bottle of beer and his reasoning was it was «imported «Are you kidding me? This most likely will be my last time ordering from this place. What a shame. Do the owners even care about the customers?

Not impressed. The subpar pizzas are way overpriced and they screwed up one of the pizzas, offered to take that pizza off the bill, but instead charged extra. It took over an hour to arrive even though we live just a few minutes away and the pizzas were warm, at best, and did not taste fresh at all. I have had Abo’s in the past and really liked it. Perhaps it is just this location?

Expensive and nasty
Order one for delivery since I rode my bike to work and it was too cold to ride out and grab something 16 bucks (20 after the driver just grabbed my 20 bill without even asking if I wanted change LOL) for a tiny pizza with about as much flavor as the box it came in??? No thanks Never again

The pizza isn’t awful, but certainly not worth the overly inflated prices. We also ordered a salad which was filled with raw yellow onion, making it terribly astringent and basically inedible. In addition, the delivery (both times we ordered) has taken about an hour and we live approximately 5 minutes away. I recommend Lucky Pie in downtown Louisville — they don’t deliver, but their pizzas are far superior, easy to order for pickup, and less expensive!

They are pretty terrible at getting your food ready when they say they will. When you try to point out that you’ve waited longer than they said you would have to, they do not care about you or their word. Terrible service and the food is absolutely it worth the crappy service. There are other abo’s to visit DO NOT VISIT THIS ONE!!!

This place can be great or not so great. Today it is not so great. It’s better when you order by the slice. Ordering a whole pizza is sometimes disappointing. Blackjack has better consistency in my opinion.
If you are going to order, I’d ask for extra sauce. There is hardly any sauce. It seems to be better when the manager is there. The cheese has also been chewy.
All in all, sometimes good, sometimes regrettable. Roll the dice if you choose.

I’ve been a huge fan of Abo’s for years now and now so are my kids:) the Superior Abos closed so I ordered from here tonight. The girl on the phone was super friendly and efficient, delivery time was fairly quick, but the pizza does NOT taste fresh. I’ve got two little ones and they didn’t seem to mind but I think next time we’ll just order in.

The pizza is always hot, fresh, and delicious! I wish I had a slice right now in fact! I’m a New Yorker, born and bred, and I know pizza, ans these guys serve it up right — the crust is nice and thin — just like I like it!

Love the pizza! It’s quality pizza for a reasonable price! Delivery time is standard. Never had an order messed up. The actual restaurant could use a face lift as it’s not very inviting and feels old but food is great!

Got delivery from here. Delivery time was pretty standard. We got the super combo with jalapenos instead of Canadian bacon. It had very good flavor with pretty fresh veggies. The crust was super crispy which I am a huge fan of. Would order from here again without a doubt.

This is good pizza. Its not my absolute favorite pizza ever — but it is good if you want to grab something quickly and run home or to see a friend. They have a great ‘pizza joint’ atmosphere and friendly service. I think I would like the pizza more if the crust was more crispy and New York Style, but overall I’m satisfied. The pizza is actually best if you order it by the slice. Its not as cost effective, but by reheating it the crust gets crispy and reminds me of New York Style pizza.
