Our family (2 adults and 2 teens) had a blast. It was great mix of rest and adventure. The staff did a great job and made my daughter comfortable despite her fears.

This group is great… great fun loving guides… good food… great rates and lifelong memories… Highly recommend… we do trips annually. great for trips with buddies or a family trip with kids… Just wild enough for a rush, but safe for kids who can swim…

We had a wonderful time rafting last summer with Adventure Connection. It was my husband’s first white water experience and now he wants to try the middle fork of the American River! Our guide was amazing and we very safe with him. He was the most experienced guide on the water that day and made sure every raft made it down the river safely, stopping several times to rescue stranded rafters or kayakers. I would highly recommend this rafting company. They have been in business a long and really know what they are doing.

I had the privilege to arrange a rafting trip for a group of 125 first timers from our church with Adventure Connections in May 2015. Everyone in the group had a great time and still brag about it. The staff was excellent, decent lunch and the whole trip went very smooth. Nate did a great job helping me through all the coordinations of the trip. Thank you Adventure Connection.

Did a 1-​DAY TRIP SOUTH FORK AMERICAN RIVER — GORGE RUN with Adventure Connection during Summer this year and I must say I had an Amazing experience overall. It was my first time ever trying this activity and my Husband’s 2^nd time Rafting through AC. My husband says, he’s happy both the times and appreciate AC’s Excellent service.

— We got a good Groupon deal from the company, «50% Off Red Wine/​Whitewater Rafting Trips» during early Summer this year. We availed it and had great fun.
— It’s the company’s most popular 1-​day adventure trip, a 13-​mile stretch.
— If you are not a pro swimmer, please opt for the Intermediate Class III as it is the safer one and also, is great for beginners.
— This trip includes a great lunch, rafting gear, all on-​river shuttles.
— There is only 1 trip per day which starts at 9.30 am, so make sure to be on time.
#SERVICE#
— There were 3 guides who took care of the entire group. They did a fabulous job. Among them, Casey was the BEST and more professional. Sean (our rafter guide), who was a cool chap, young compared to other guides and was slightly playful. And the third guy, my bad forgot his name. Casey ran through a whole bunch of instructions, top to bottom, very clearly and understandably.
— After instructions and signing the form part, a shuttle takes you to the rafting site.
— Groups will be split and we got into guide Sean’s raft.
— Had a fun-​filled-​adventurous round-​trip. Sean was very funny and made every possible effort to keep us involved and not getting bored. Totally we were 4 of us in our raft (Me, Hubby and another couple) and was the smallest group compared to counts in other rafts. Anyways, Appreciate Sean’s friendly and helpful service!
— All the three guides made sure we had proper lunch, bbq styled. Offered us healthy food and served us real quick.
— Finished the trip evening 4.30 ish and the shuttle took us back to the office venue.
#TIPS#
— There is a parking lot at the office venue. It’s not a shady area. Your vehicle will get Super Hot. So, do not leave any food items that are likely to melt and other valuable items that are not heat resistant.
— Take changing clothes. There are bathrooms to change your wears.
— There is a small retail store at the office venue, where you can do any last minute shopping.
— Don’t expect any Cell network coverage in the entire area.
— If you are a little early to AC and wanna grab a quick breakfast before 9.30am, visit «Sierra Rizing». It’s a café and bakery shop with free Wifi (ask for password). For location & reviews about the place, check the link,
Our only disappointment was with the rafting photography company, «Hotshot Imaging». Their photo sharing purchase deals are very expensive. They got us two different sets of images, but we were forced to buy only one of them because of their exorbitant pricing policy.
On the whole, had a fantastic day of adventure that we’ll never forget. I highly recommend ADVENTURE CONNECTION!!!

We had an excellent beginner level rafting session.
It was a full day session and everything was well organized. I went with my 9yr old daughter and it was her first rafting trip and she felt safe and enjoyed the raftinf.
Kacey was our coach and he is really good and well experienced.
I will be going again next year…

They were well organized leading different adventures day in and day out. The all day river trip on the American River was great and quite exciting too. I am sure that business will be good if the rain ever starts falling again. Affordable, good food, and last minute supplies available. Some stupid people doing stupid things, but luckily not in my raft.

I booked a trip for 16. It was our first time rafting and our tour guide Danny was awesome! He was very knowledgable about rafting and the ecosystem. He made all of us feel very safe and confident that we would be okay. He was very funny and he made our first experience a memorable one. I would definitely take another rafting trip with adventure connections. Ask for Danny!

Went with my husband, sister, brother n law and niece. Jeff was our guide and he was awesome! Our first time doing this and we will be back! He was so good with my niece Lisa. We were all nervous at first but Jeff made it so much fun! I can’t wait to go back! He is A PRO and awesome guide!
The Beans and The Spencers

My family had a GREAT time on the river. Geoffrey was a excellent guide. He pointed out any special points of interest. The meal was simple but very good. We even had seconds. We are planning a second trip to the river and we will definitely be booking with AC again.

Went with my family, and co-​workers. We had 21 people, they put us in 3 different boats. In my boat our guide name was Danny. He was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun, I’m trying to take some more people up there. I want to go back so bad.
I would recommend this to everyone. If you haven’t been, I would strongly suggest you go.

Great all around experience from start to finish! Our Raft Guide was an all out Pro, great interaction and extremely personable making it that much more enjoyable. At one of the stops, Lunch was provided — very satisfying! The day was an excellent one — Thanks to Adventure Connect!
My only complaint is that I laughed too hard and got waa-​aaa-​a-​ay too drenched! — Peace and Love!

Had a camping and 2 day rafting with Adventure Connection and it was AWESOME! The campsite, they set up the tent for us and clean and doesn’t have a funky smell. Their bathrooms and showers are always clean and trash emptied out. For an outdoorsy thing, it was great and mind you I am not an outdoorsy kind of person and I complained nothing about this place. The staff was fun and great thanks to Tigra, Jeremy and Anna (awesome omelette). Everyone was great, they run a tight RAFT! We didn’t finish the 2^nd half of our rafting after lunch as I was feeling sick, but it was probably exhaustion from a busy work week. We plan to go back again.

This was our first rafting trip with AC. We rafted the American River Middle Fork and this by far was the best rafting experiences we have had so far. Our guide Anna was very knowledgable, skilled, as well as entertaining which was reflected in our tip when we were done. (Yes, people should tip for a great guide and experience even though it is not required) We would definitely do this trip again and request the same guide. Anna made all the rapids a great experience especially The tunnel shoot and the ski jump. We were even able to surf a few of the Rapids.
The whole trip was a GoPro moment due to the scenery and serenity provided by Mother Nature.

Thank you Adventure Connection for making my very first whitewater rafting experience one for the books! I admit, I was a bit frightened at the idea I’d be floating down the American River with nothing but a life vest and a helmet. I certainly was expecting the worst even though I can swim (rocks to the head was all I could really picture when I was invited on this rafting trip).
But I seriously had the time of my life! And even though now and again I would feel that maybe this was my last day on Earth, I actually felt pretty bad ass with my paddle as we fought to stay inside of the raft through some crazy rapids! I even got the opportunity to swim through a less «rough» one.
Our tour guide’s name was Jeff, allegedly the best … but then again, all of them were introduced as the best. But he did an awesome job making us feel comfortable and making sure we got the most out of our rafting trip! By purposely running us into big rocks and not rushing the experience. We spent about $ 80 each for a half day trip ~ lunch included. And they are also updating their rafts to awesome bright, green ones.
I do advise you to book your next rafting experience with these guys if you haven’t yet!
The only thing I wish I had was more quality pictures. We didn’t purchase the professional ones because it was about the same price for all of them as it was to book our trip. Hopefully next time!

I haven’t been white water rafting since I was a little kid, and this was an excellent experience! All of the staff was really friendly and very helpful. Nate assured me that I was in the right spot, Jeremiah got us all set up and ready to go, and Dagan was our tour guide. He was fantastic! We had a boat full of kids and he was really good with them – asking them questions about the local history and pointing out wildlife and land markers. I know that dealing with children can’t always be easy, especially when they aren’t your own, but he was very patient and very clear with them. He also did a lot of cool maneuvers with the raft and we all had a BLAST! I hope when I go back I get him again, he really made the experience one of a kind!
We did the South Fork (½ day). It wasn’t too hard, but it is important to pay attention. There are plenty of spots to get out and swim.

For the workers at adventure connection, if we give them a great review on Unilocal they should get more than $ 1. If the paying campers give the guide a gratuity way over a $ 1, the owners of the company should give more than $ 1. I mean come on.
Fred is one of the best tour guides we have ever had. He has shown us the time of our lives. So much fun in one day.

7 of us decided to try something new and exciting, so we booked online for a Middle Fork American River rafting trip. Days before the trip, the details are sent to our «group leader’s» email. The instructions are clear and the meet up location is easy to find.
In the morning (8.a.m), we gathered at a parking lot behind a Raley’s supermarket, where we met our driver and tour guide/​rafting coach. The raft has already been inflated and put on top of the van. After signing some paper work, we hopped onto the van. After a 20-​minute drive, we arrived at the river. Carrying the raft to the river wasn’t easy, the rubber raft is super heavy, and all of us had to pull out our muscles. Electronics can be left on the van, the driver will look after it. We put on helmets and life jackets; our coach taught us some basic skills, then we are officially rafting.
The view along the route is good. There are 3 water falls which makes us super excited (some of us were scared). When you are passing a waterfall, the river becomes so rapid, the raft will spin and becomes bumpy as well. Hold on tight or you’ll fell off. Generally, this route has moderate difficulty, it is suitable for beginners and intermediate people. In the middle of the trip, we made a stop on the shore for lunch. We had roast beef, ham, bread and some veggies, all brought in with our raft. At the end of our trip, our driver picked us up from the ending point of our trip and drove us back to Raley’s. Rafting is a must-​try adventure experience, it builds on top of teamwork and passion.

Who wants to get wet and wild! Ladies? The ones in the white tees. I’m not talking to you because you already know.
Ok granted that the lifevest will cover up the majority of your upper body, it’s not THAT kind of wet and wild adventure. But you do end up wet at some point. Fair warning though, the river is quite cold. Even though it was 100 degrees on the day I went (mid Sept), the water was refreshingly icy. Initial jump in feels great against sunbaked skin. 20 seconds in and you could start to feel the icyness. A minute in and your toes will start to feel numb. Stay any longer and it’ll turn any inverted nipple inside out and merge those two balls into one. Your little man has now become a one eyed monster.
There’s an overwhelming amount of options out there for river rafting; honestly, we just picked this place because of the Groupon deal. Contrary to what I thought about businesses that advertise on Groupon, this place is actually very professional and didn’t look like they even needed the extra advertisement. We witnessed firsthand why this place is better than some of the others. They care about your safety. We had helmets, which we saw some of the other companies didn’t provide. Our guide actually rescued a guy floating downstream and helped a neighboring raft when their other rafts left them behind, and they were from a different company!
Our guide, Casey, was great and knowledgeable with interesting stories about the river and the surrounding landscape. He kept us entertained with variations of rafting down the rapids: the normal frontal way, backwards w/​o looking back, and standing up. that’s how Ron Jeremy also keeps his patrons entertained. Casey also pretty much let us do anything we requested. We had time to jump in for a swim, pick blackberries, play Ninja Rodeo, and swing on a rope that was hanging from the bridge. In the end, all the guides set up a lunch for us. Awesome, hardworking guys.
This experience was a steal at the price we paid — $ 79 includes all taxes and fees (including river fee) for a one-​day run. I called them and booked directly with them for the Groupon price, without having to buy the Groupon. They are a pretty organized group, experienced, and allows you plenty of playtime. And they cook you lunch afterwards?! I was sold there.
Warning: Your butt will ache the next day in places you never even knew muscles existed. Is this how guys in jail feel like the next day?
