History

Established in 1999.

Hague Quality Water of Los Osos is the local dealer in San Luis Obispo & Santa Barbara county for Hague Quality Water International. Hague International was founded in 1960 and is owned and managed by the Hague family. Bill Hague started the company in 1954 in Ohio. Today his sons Bob (President) and David (CFO) run the award winning International business. 98% of the water treatment systems are manufactured in Groveport Ohio, the remaining 2% are manufactured by USA companies when ever possible.

Hague Quality Water of Los Osos is a family run business started by Richard Foronjy in 1999, in 2001 he was joined by his oldest of 4 sons, Eric. Eric was brought on to do sales, today he is the Sales and Marketing manager. Eric brought his wife Erika into the business in 2005. With hundreds of Hague dealers in the US, the Foronjys have maintained their reputation as being one of the top ten dealerships in the nation for over 10 years. They also maintain an A+ Rating with The BBB.

For over 20 years Richard Foronjy has been in the water treatment industry. His role in a previous company left him wanting more for the customer. His vision of good customer service and relations fell short of his former employer, so in 1999 he started his own water treatment dealership. As he was starting a new business from scratch he looked at literally a hundred different water treatment systems to sell and service. He chose to be a dealer for Hague Quality Water because of the Hague Watermax. In a business where 99% of the products are the same, the Hague Watermax stood apart. It is the only true whole house filtration system in the industry. Once he saw the benefits of chlorine removal and chemical reduction on city water, in addition to softening it made all the sence in the world to him. «Most water treatment companies sell water softeners, I don’t even recommend water softeners anymore. The real problems in our water are not solved by soft water.»
