Snap Fitness Los Lunas

so far so good, umm went there last night to run for a few clicks wasnt bad, ghetto people of los lunas dont ever fail to vandalize as the data cables to the treadmills were broken :(. not a big deal one works, but would be nice if people respected other property specially at the gym and the owner, i did also go to the one in bosque farms is alot bigger and there is more equipment but there was nothing but grunting, immature teenagers there, so but im sure the owner from los lunas will expand the facilities the fist chance he gets we will see how it goes i will edit and add or remove the more i frequent the facility…

Great gym. I like that the cardio equipment is all newer models and maintained really well. The punching bag and room with wood floor is awesome to do a video workout! I usually go around 8 in the morning and never have trouble finding an open machine.

If I could give lower then one star I would. Snap fitness in Los Lunas is convenient. If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t hold a membership here. According to earlier reviews there was helpful staff. The referenced personal trainer no longer works there. The new trainer that works at Snap Los Lunas will not help you well she is training other clients or well she is there on her own time. No one expects a person to work during there off hours. Although if you are in your place of employment you still represent the company you work for. I asked staff member a simple question well she was training somebody. She was extremely rude. I talked to the owner and he said he would not bother talking the staff member since she was training someone but not on his staffed hours. However a repair man came to fix something and the trainer was happy to help him in her «off» time. Snap Los Lunas is not a welcoming environment. Which seems to not at up to Franchise standards. There was a big problem for awhile with actual maggots were crawling around the floors in the gym. It seems to be cleared up but it went on for longer then it should have.

Snap is a fairly small place. The equipment floor contains all the usual machines each having poundages that are challenging even for veteran lifters. The have the obligate treadmill wall complete with flat screen televisions mounted above and the elliptical section lined up behind them. The equipment floor also incorporates some fairly limited free weight options including: dumbbells from 10−100lbs, open squat rack, smith machine, cable devices, a heavy bag, chinning bars and kettle bells. The adjacent room in the gym features exercise bikes complete with a theater sized screen to simulate different treks. That screen can also be used to lead the participant through many other workouts.
The gym also has a personal trainer on staff for those looking to fine tune their workouts. The advice he gives when solicited is very solid. He seems to enjoy what he does as he is at the gym nearly every time I go. He is also the kind of guy who has no problem at all doling out some free advice when asked. I have also seen him assist people who seem to struggle with learning the new machines. He is approachable, friendly and professional, as someone in that line of work should be.
Memberships are relatively cheap and easy to get into and out of with no hidden costs or other such strings. Participants also have the option to put the membership on hold without terminating. The gym can be accessed ²⁴⁄₇ via key card entry, which is a nice feature for those with varied working hours. The place stays clean due to constant attention by the staff. Disinfectant wipes are readily available for use on the equipment before and after use. A shower and changing room are also available as well as male and female restrooms. The parking lot is big and easy to get into and out of. There is also a Quiznos right across the lot for those needing a post workout chow down.
It’s not the best gym for a serious lifter who needs diverse free weight options, but it is a passable gym for the fitness enthusiast. The price is right and over all it’s not a bad deal.

This is just your standard snap fitness. Go very early or very late, and you just might have the whole place to yourself.
