Carolyn at Touch of Perfection is great. I’ve been going to her for several months for laser hair removal. She’s answered all my questions and concerns patiently and thoroughly.
As far as the treatment itself:
Does it hurt? Yes. It’s about on par with waxing, maybe a tad worse. Carolyn applies a cooling gel beforehand and hydrocortisone cream afterwards, to help soothe the skin. Often my skin is tender for a day or so after the laser treatment.
Is it expensive? Yes. It definitely is not cheap. There are multi-​sessions packages available at a discount, and discounts offered for additional treatments above the standard 4-​sessions package as well.
Is it worth it? YES! Although all of my hair is not gone after the standard four sessions, it is *so* much sparser. Since there is so much less hair, it’s easier and faster to shave — which means less irritation.
