Having purchased a home over 10 years prior in a different kind of crazy market, I was in essence a new home buyer. Doing it this time on my own, I was completely out of my depth. I had so many questions about what I could afford, what I could get for what I could afford, process questions, expectations questions… Stephen was amazing. He educated me, helped me secure financing, and helped me find the perfect place at just the right time for the market. Since then, he’s become a trusted resource and partner, helping me with investment properties, random home owner needs, and I’ve referred him to friends with equal satisfaction. Awesome!

In this crazy competitive real estate market we are in, Stephen helped us find a killer home. He helped secure financing, and connect us with the right people to move a pre-​qualification through in a few days. Given our demanding jobs and little time to find a good fit, Stephen sent listings that were right on the money. Once we found the right place, he submitted an offer within hours and personally presented the offer to the buyer which was the crucial factor in winning the bid. Ours was not the highest, and there were 10 other offers. In all that he was easy to communicate with, and always personable knowledgable and persistent. Stephen did a great job in helping my wife and I find our new home. Wow, wow, wow!
I was a first-​time home buyer trying to escape the ballooning rental market. The first realtor I engaged basically told me I was a lost cause, what with my low price point and need to use FHA financing. Not Steve…
Steve seems to take pride in helping out the underdogs in the real estate market. (Indeed, I was referred to him by a friend who was also a first-​time FHA buyer.) In one of the toughest real estate markets in the country, his was a steady hand at the wheel. We wrote seven offers over five months before one was accepted. Steve listened carefully to what I was looking for in a home yet was realistic with what I could expect at my price point, and was a voice of reason when I was starting to feel desperate. His sense of urgency, outside-​the-​box thinking and keen sense of timing helped me into a scenario where the sellers never even had the opportunity to accept other offers. (How did he do that?!)
The escrow period was not without its dramas, but Steve had my back when we had some miscommunications with the sellers. This review would not be complete without a shout out to Bryan Russell of Fontis Group. He was (is?) Steve’s preferred mortgage broker, and I can see why. The two of them were totally in sync, taking care of details in direct communication so I didn’t have to be bothered. In fact, the two handled the whole process so effortlessly, I can’t imagine having gone through it any other way.

Yeah, I know. ANOTHER five-​star review. What gives you might be asking? Truth be told, I *rarely* write reviews on Unilocal (It’s true, check out my profile!) Steve deserves a review though, and he gets a big fat 5 stars. That’s right folks, 5 Jumbo, Red Giants. Not some subpar brown dwarfs. Why does he receive such acclaim you may ask?
Let me tell you a brief story…
We recently accepted a job transfer out of state and as luck would have it, the transfer took place over the holidays. Logistics worked out in such a way that we had to put an offer on our other house, prior to selling our lovely pad in San Jose. As such, we were under the gun to not only sell our house, but sell it at a certain price and do it all without any hitches. Steve guided us through the process and although I was a bit skeptical on a few details (really Steve, you want me to repaint what??) in the end not only did his vision come together, but we received multiple cash offers, without any strings attached, and all significantly above listing. Did I mention he was able to handle 99% of the details while we were out of town? Oh yeah, he even stopped by and helped sweep the floors the night before the open house. Swept the floors and washed windows. Yep, he’s that kinda guy. The happy end to this story is that we couldn’t have pulled it off without Steve’s expert guidance and market know-​how.
Would i recommend Steve? Unequivocally and without question. You can’t get any better, I promise.

Steve helped me and my husband sell our first townhouse, a stepping stone into a single family, which then allowed us to buy our 2^nd home with him as well…
the journey was intense, quick, and aggressive… Steve did everything in his power to sell the townhouse for every bit we could squeeze from it, capitalizing on a peak in the market.

he bent over backwards & did things a «normal» agent wouldn’t think as doable.
a creative, go-​getter is how I’d characterize him as a buying agent.
we want to thank him for everything and plan to recommend him to ANY one we know buying or selling in the Bay Area.

Stephen really puts the client first. My husband and I just bought our first home! We had a lot of *VERY* different ideas of what our first home should entail, where it was almost impossible to compromise. But with the help of Stephen, we were able to find a home that we both could agree on. It took some time, but Stephen was patient and never gave up. He was always available to answer my questions, educate and re-​explain the terminology, the plan, and so forth. I can attest to his work ethics: Stephen works very hard to ensure his clients are happy. He definitely valued our time; he never showed us homes that were not our ideal, instead he listened to our needs and met all our expectations.
