The rest of the entire operation is terrible! Need to speak to a person? Too bad, you cant even leave a VM because the machine is full??? It takes days sometimes weeks until they get back to you if you can leave a message. Very VERY unprofessional office!

I was never actually treated here, my review is based on TRYING to get an appointment. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and told to start physical therapy. After several unreturned phone calls, I finally got a live person on the phone. She asked for all of my benefits information, which I gave her, but drew the line when she asked for my social security number over the phone (!!). 4 weeks later I finally got a phone call to schedule an appointment. Needless to say, when I didn’t hear back from them after a week I found another physical rehabilitation facility which I am very happy with (El Camino PPT). I even contacted them through their website to express the disappointing experience I had and never received feedback. I hope others have better luck trying to get help for their back problems with this facility.

My review is past overdue, as I «graduated» from the SpineOne program in August 2012. If you have spinal problems or chronic back pain, you’ve been to numerous specialists, tried physical therapy, acupuncture, chriropractic, and are considering surgery or have had surgery that didn’t help the pain, SpineOne might be for you!
I had a work injury while stocking store shelves in January 2010 that at first seemed simple and straightforward, it felt like I pulled some muscles in my back. I didn’t think a lot of it at first because, hey, I wasn’t in that great of shape to begin with. The first doctor I went to estimated it would take 6 – 8 weeks to fully recover and I started physical therapy. I regained some flexibility but with the pain I was in I was unable to keep standing or walking for very long and 6 weeks after the accident I lost my job. I stopped doing anything physical that made the pain worse, stopped walking, stopped moving around. I went a couple of years of not having a diagnosis, and then an incorrect diagnosis, plus more physical therapy, aquatic therapy (Liked the aquatic therapy), chiropractor appointments, acupuncture when I was sent away by my worker’s compensation primary doctor with «There’s nothing more to do for you, this is just the way things are going to be for you» type attitude.
After receiving consultation for surgery and being told it was a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of finding relief, and a consultation for a Kaiser chronic pain program I decided to find a specialist that might have more answers. On the worker’s comp. approved list was Dr. Allen Kaisler-​Meza from Rehab One. After my first appointment he suggested SpineOne and told me about the program. I had no hope for so long that my chronic pain would get any better and Dr. Meza and SpineOne gave me hope.
SpineOne is an intensive 8 week Monday-​Friday 9am-​3pm program with a set schedule every day. I was with a fairly large group of patients, about 8 – 9 other people in the program with me, but it varies. You work with physical therapists that provide personalized advice for your issues, doing stretching and strengthening exercises. The program focuses on treating all areas of a person’s life that has been affected by injuries, so there is a mental health/​psycho-​educational component, nutritional education, sessions with one of the doctors where you learn all sorts of stuff about spinal injuries, working with a chiropractor to learn ergonomic ways of moving, and a personal trainer comes in a few times a week. By the end of the program you are made into your own personal expert of what works best to decrease your pain and how to improve strength.
This program is not for everyone. You need to go into it with a completely open mind and willing to try things even if you think it won’t work. I was at rock bottom, had tried just about everything and I didn’t think I would ever get any better. But now I can walk for up to about 15 minutes at a time (up from THREE) and can stand for a lot longer than I used to. Some other people in the group improved way past what I can do physically and were working with kettlebells and walking for an hour, but what is great about the program is you go at your own pace and every exercise is modified to your own abilities. I would highly recommend SpineOne!

I had an great experience at Spine one the staff here where so nice. I learned a lot there and I am going to use what I learned and apply it to my everyday life. If your having chronic pain join Spine one and I bet you, you will be a better person when you leave.
