I’ve now done business with Mitchell for over twenty years, having purchased ear rings, diamond rings, and wedding bands from him. Not only does he have competitive pricing and a highly skilled team (adjustments in ring sizes are impossible to see), but he’s extremely personable as well. One point worthy of note — when my wife and I were in another jewelry store buying watches, the jeweler commented on her ring and asked to look at it. He commented on both the quality of the diamond and the price, saying both were extremely good.
I was recommended to Mitchell from a friend, who had a similar experience. I now recommend Mitchell to all of my friends, and simply will not purchase elsewhere.

I am really pleased with all of my interactions with Diamond Source and Mitchell, its owner. I told Mitchell that I have been wanting a fairly large aquamarine for a necklace and he found me one, a beauty, and had it mounted in a lovely white gold setting. The price was reasonable and I am very happy with it. Also, I gathered up all the old gold jewelry that I don’t wear any more and brought it to Mitchell and left with some $, very cool! Mitchell knows his stuff, appraises honestly and pays good money for the jewelry you are ready to sell.

The owner never disclosed to us that they had no return policy while we bought it and when we return it two weeks later he refused to take the merchant back (in original condition never used). On top of it he was rude like no one would believe. Insulting clients and threatening! STAY AWAY AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

The owner of this store is very rude and arrogant. When I liked one of his necklaces, and tried to see if he is willing to come down on the price a bit «is this the best price you can offer?», he said «if you can’t afford it, there are lots of rich people in the area that can afford this». He then bragged about himself being a multi-​millionaire and owns boats etc. I found him insulting and rude, never want to go back there again.

Mitchell is the best in the business when finding what the customer wants. He helped to customize 2 rings for us and is always there if an issue arises. He is very trustworthy, sincere and pleasure to know for over 20 years. I would not go to any other jewelers in LG without seeing Mitchell first.

Mitchell created a custom engagement ring for me based of a few snapshots from the Internet. The ring came out perfect. My fiancé couldn’t be happier.

I have a beautiful antique ring, diamond studs and my wedding ring from Diamond Source. All excellent quality and priced accordingly. Mitchell is an expert and I am very happy with all of my purchases.

I have known Mitchell for about 20 years now? I have had several pieces of jewelry redesigned, and the end result was amazing. Not all diamonds are created equal! I have compared diamonds from many other jewelry stores and this little Jewelry Store The Diamond Source in Los Gatos has The best quality by far. Mitchell is a wealth of information and knows his diamonds. Did I mention the best part is, The Price Is Right! This is definitely the place where I will be purchasing my wedding rings.

If you are looking for the experts– Go to Diamond Source. I brought a variety of pieces dating back to the early 1900’s and Mitchell was able to tell me about the pieces and the stones. Also, he has a great price if your on the market to sell some gold :) He is honest and knowledgeable, two traits I admire in a jeweler.

My family has been going to Mitchell for years. We’ve amassed quite a collection of beautiful rings, bracelets, necklaces, sets of earrings, etc. between myself, my mother and sister-​in-​law. Some pieces were selected from what Mitchell had in his collection, while others were designed in coordination with either my brother or father. Mitchell is kind and will give it to you straight. He has even performed services (multiple watch battery changes, small jewelry repair) for me gratis. To my family Mitchell is not only a good jeweler, but a good friend.

MItchell is a straight shooter. My wife asked him to replace screw backs with pierced backs on older costume earings and replace a side stone in a costume ring.
The result was very good. Mitchell explained the tech details and the options. My wife was pleased and myself as well. We have just purchased another pair of antique costume earings and will ask Mitchell to change the backs. BTW he is not arrogant. Lee M. (transplanted New Yorker)

The quality of the jewelry was less than satisfactory, and the pieces were not my style.
The décor was not very elegant and needs remodeling.
Almost every jewelry store in Los Gatos and Saratoga is pretty much like this one. I am very surprised about the great reviews these jewelers have. People assume if a shop is in Los Gatos, it must offer quality products.

It says something when you get an opinion at one place and then wait to drive a few hundred miles to see Mitchel. He’s the kind of person to tell it like it is so if you don’t understand, by end of the conversation you feel like you know a bit more about what your getting. Thanks for the quick turn around!

We have to drive 30 miles to see Mitchell– and he takes care of us each time. We have never had a problem with service here over the last 10 years. The craftsmanship is not only great– Mitchell sees to it that your pieces shine and look the like 1^st day you bought it… even after 10 years!

We went to several retail jewelry stores couldn’t find anything I loved. Meet Mitchell at the Diamond Source. He was so helpful. We went on line looked at different ring designs. Mitchell designed the perfect ring that says «Happy Birthday, I love you». Thanks for the beautiful ring it is so sparkling.
