I needed a day of cake with a frosting/​print photo and Ari and co. at butter cake shoppe came to my rescue! They made an amazing red velvet within 4 hours — complete with photo — and they were incredibly helpful and friendly each of the thousand times I called that morning to check in. Could not recommend them more highly!

Super friendly on the phone and they really want to help you find something that works for you size wise and price wise. Very negotiable and clearly love what they do. They did an incredible job on the cupcakes they made for my sister’s birthday. Highly recommend!

AMAZING AMAZING CAKE SHOP! I called in and spoke to the sweetest women who helped me with my order. She was pleasant to talk to made me feel like I’ve been a customer for a long time. I had a surprise birthday cake delivered to my boyfriend on his birthday. I called in and within 15 minutes the cake was delivered. It was the cutest mini cake! He said it tasted amazing as well lol. I would deff recommend this place and i for sure will be a long time customer now =]

Their service is great & their baked good are delicious. All of my family enjoyed their treats. We had the following: Red velvet cup cake, chocolate cupcake, chocolate cake with buttercream frosting & chocolate chip cookies. Everything was amazing.

We ordered our son’s first birthday party cake — Star Wars themed — from Sasha and team. Her good energy, enthusiasm for our cake, and theme, made it impossible to even consider going anywhere else. Everyone at the shop we interacted with was awesome — quick to respond, very clear, super nice, and not pushy. We had to change location at the last minute due to rain, and they still delivered — no problem. They didn’t skip a beat! She was even really cool about creating her own design after I shared a few examples with her, and gave us a variety of quotes for fondant or butter cream frosting (we chose butter cream, bc who really likes fondant?) sugar characters or not, etc. The cake was the star of the party (besides for our cutie pie, of course!) and was soooooo immensely good. Not too sweet, solid and light all at the same time. Seriously, I think it was the best bday cake I’ve ever had. I am even planning on getting my birthday cake there because it was that good… if you are looking for a great custom cake, awesome baker and bakery, look no further. Absolutely love this place! Hands down. I ordered a minecraft cake for my daughter’s birthday party and Sasha did an awesome job. Everybody in the party kids and adult likes the cake it is so moist and delicious. Never have I been so eager and excited to put a Unilocal review over how pleasant an experience this was. Purchased two pies — Pecan and Bourbon Pumpkin — for Thanksgiving dinner. High expectations persisted as the rave reviews for Butter set the stage… The Pecan pie was a big hit with family, while the Bourbon Pumpkin turned out to be for the discerning palates only… with some preferring a more «custard» texture to their pumpkin pie, while others loved the new «woody» taste.
All-​in-​all, Butter’s creations turned out to be a great conversation piece, making the holiday dinner all that more special for friends and family.

I found this place through Unilocal.I saw their beautiful cakes and saw the were rated 5 stars, plus they were conveniently located near me. I was looking for a cake for my mother in laws 60^th birthday and saw a picture of this gorgeous cake on their Unilocal page and I knew that’s what I wanted. I stopped by their shop and quickly collaborated with them to make it more personal to my mother in law etc. My time frame was tight so I couldn’t do a cake tasting beforehand but they did not disappoint We got a two tiered cake for a good price, the top tier was butter cream frosting with strawberry chiffon cake and the bottom was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, both delicious! It was an extravagant/​gorgeous/​delicious cake that everyone at the party raved about! I know I’d go there again! As well as anyone who tasted that cake!

I wanted to get the bf a «manly» birthday cake this year. I decided to go with a real madrid cake since thats his favorite team. So i googled some pics and emailed it over to butter cake shoppe. Sasha contacted me the next day and was so nice and helpful. Ive never ordered a custom cake before but they made everything so easy. On their website it lists all the cake flavors and fillings so i could get an idea of what i wanted beforehand. Im also not a big fan of fondant icing so she used as little as possible on the cake. Now on to the taste. Im a big cake and dessert girl so i know my stuffs. The cake was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t too sweet which i love. And perfectly moist. The buttercream frosting was amazing. I will definitely be calling them whenever i need another cake.

I threw a Drake themed party for my 21^st birthday and had a couple ideas in mind. They amped it up x100 and I was SUPER impressed with the turn out. A four tiered cake, top layer vanilla, 2^nd layer chocolate, 3^rd layer red velvet and 4^th layer just for show. (BASICALLY… IT WAS DELICIOUS! Everybody raved about it at the party!)
Contact them, definitely go in for a consultation and they will do whatever they can to accommodate to your needs. They are the sweetest and make you feel super comfortable :) They copied the exact design I sketched out for them and even photoshopped their own ideas for me to look at!

I’m not a cake-​eater. Hell, I’m not a dessert person at all. But the cake I ate made by Butter Cake Shoppe at a friend’s wedding was INCREDIBLE. The cake was moist and flavorful; the fondant reminded me of my favorite candy as a kid; and the cake maker herself was just so freaking cool.
I never thought of myself to be someone who would spend more than $ 20 at Baskin Robbins to buy a cake. But after tasting this cake, I’ve been convinced otherwise. These cakes are worth it and I’m certain every single person will be getting up for seconds and thirds of these cakes.

I love love Butter Cake Shoppe! They were very professional and friendly. Their cakes are amazing I ordered my sons first birthday cake and they brought to my event. It was delicious I got good compliments about the cake. I would definitely order more cakes in the future.

After reading reviews I decided to pay a visit to Butter cake shoppe. I met sasha 3.5 weeks before the birthday. She was very patient as I explained her what exactly I wanted. She also helped me choose the flavors and finalize the design.
Finally when I received the cake I absolutely had no words to describe how awesomeeee this cake was. The detailing of the cake was superb. It’s a pure art.

Service? absolutely wonderful bakery angels. Placed my order at the absolute last minute and they didn’t just accommodate, they made me feel like my silly little cupcakes were literally the most important thing happening in Los Angeles that day. Ladies… Thank you. I was blown away by your kindness and willingness to help me not be the doosh who doesn’t bring cake to her babe’s big birthday.
Execution? utter perfection. These were among the most beautiful cupcakes I’ve ever seen. Perfect little wonders of cake and frosting, my custom order was exactly what I asked for and exactly as I imagined (even better!), and the extra dozen I got were so beautiful they almost didn’t look real!
Taste? sit down. seriously. sit down. you’re about to bite into some of the best damn cake and frosting you’ve ever had and you’re going to want to be safely seated when your cute little socks get blasted off your feets and your taste buds leap out of your mouth to do a victory lap around your face.
I got 2 dozen cup cakes for my boyfriend’s 40^th. Here’s the lowdown:
–Chocolate cake: that smooth kind of exquisite cocoa flavor that greets you like an old friend, hugs you, and quietly whispers in your ear «it’s ok, I’m here now. you can forget about all that crappy chocolate you’ve ever eaten, this is the real thing…» balanced and not too sweet, the cake texture divine.
–Red Velvet: I can’t even talk to you about these. They were amazing, incredible, dreamboaty red velvets that are just… impossible to describe. perfect. perfect. perfect.
–Vanilla: if ever there was a vanilla that could seduce even the most die hard chocolate fanatic… like the best sugar cookie you’ve only ever dreamed could exist, magically transformed into a cupcake… holy jeans and crackers, these were my favorite. I started resource guarding, fear biting, I didn’t want to share. I hate all my friends who ate a vanilla one. –_​–
Their frosting is magical, like puff the magic dragon magical. Perfectly sweet, like «I’m here to show you what kindergarten first love turned into magic frosting tastes like» sweet, not obnoxious «I’m Attila the Hun! I’m taking over your cake and here have some of this diabeetus! Hahaha!» sweet.
We had the vanilla, chocolate, and the cream cheese frostings, each was as lovely as the other.
I’m done talking now. I want more cake. I need to make more friends so I can celebrate their birthdays with Butter cakes.

Butter Cake Shoppe is five star across the board. You can already tell from the great photos here and on Butter Cake’s website that Sasha can make a great looking cake. You can also probably tell from the range of designs that Sasha is an inventive and fun collaborator. She’s a joy to work with and understood what I was going for right away. Not only did she turn my weird idea into a fantastic looking cake, but she made one of the best tasting cakes I have ever had (with Butter in the name, you know she has her priorities straight).

Um. I just need to get right to it. My cake? Totally awesome. Totally. The quality? Amazing. My experience with Sasha? Perfection. I talked to and researched at least a dozen custom bakers in the LA area and without hesitation I highly recommend her for your baking needs.
My biggest hurdle? Well, my two biggest hurdles… I was planning this event and cake design from out of town AND I’ve never ordered a custom cake before. I had no idea what I was doing but Sasha was completely awesome, asked the right questions and basically handled everything. I sent some pictures and ideas, what flavor and she was off! She was also very responsive to emails and kept me in the loop the whole time.
She also delivered the cake at my convenience, to the person who was transporting it for me.
The cake then had to travel 3 hours to the desert, sit on ice packs for over a day and it still looked and tasted amazing.
Massive compliments all around and the birthday guy was beyond happy!
She’s now my go-​to the next time I need baked goods!

Ordered a custom Barbie cake for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was seriously fantastic. I reached out pretty much the week of and Sasha was insanely accommodating and even came to Studio City to pick up the Barbie.
The cake itself turned out brilliantly; it was elegantly designed and the color was exquisite. It’s a great sign when all of the guests at the party whip out their phones to Instagram and Snapchat the cake :). The taste was also on point; I originally wanted Tres Leches but Sasha informed me that it would be too moist to the hold the shape of the Barbie dress so she recommended a lemon mascarpone which was just as delicious.
I would 110% recommend Sasha and the Butter Cake Shoppe for any custom cake work — thanks again for making my girlfriend’s birthday special!
