Worst Customer service! I had to cancel my account due to my work schedule and I have been trying since JANUARY THE 2nd!!! Seriously?! I walked in to this gym and the membership service was still open and just finished helping someone but since my intent is to cancel, I was sent away and was told that they already shut the system off. I was advised to come back or call the corporate office to cancel. I called the corporate office and was on hold forever! I made a few more attempts, no luck! I am again attempting and had to take time away from my work, so far still on hold! Please! If you value great customer service, do not even consider dealing business with InShape. Soooo disappointed!

After my review I posted yesterday, I got a response from Emily who is the Social Media Acct Manager, finally my acct is resolved and hopefully will not give me anymore trouble by Feb. Personal commendation does to Emily who only spent a few minutes with me and got this taken cared of. InShape need more people like you.

Don’t go to the group classes if you expect REAL Instructors to assist with proper form or demonstrate how to complete the moves at different levels of ability even though the class description indicates levels 1 – 3. A class consists of an Instructor working out and you follow along if you can hear them over the extremely loud music

Even though I still go to this gym, cause if it wasn’t the only one in my town, I wouldn’t go to it. The trainers who work here never keep their word. I was told yesterday that I would be worked with, and the trainer purposely ignored me, until I got his attention. I said to him very politely «Hey, are you busy right now?». And he responded with «I’m with another client right now». Are you kidding? He acted as if what he said on Sunday was completely oblivious to him. I know what people say, and I don’t lie. I’m also a very faithful In-​Shape customer. My family also had fees that we were not told about before hand. They give misleading charge notices. I won’t stop going to this gym because I’m really improving on self-​image and this is my only way that I enjoy getting my cardio and weight lifting. If only there were more options in Los Banos.

This place customer service is horrible, just tried to buy a pair of swimming goggles and the person at the counter couldn’t get this done. The person in the counter can never get anything done.

They lie about the membership charges. I’m supposed to be getting charged 55 a month and yet I’m always getting charged 95 a month, they never seem to have an answer for me and the money that’s supposed to be credited back still hasn’t been.

I’m actually a current member at In Shape Fit in Tracy. I was working down there for 2 weeks and needed a gym. After about 15 min on the phone, I got a 2 week pass for just the price of day fee. Even on such short notice

* lie about member fees charging what every they want had to call corporate to get real fee amounts
*indoor pool makes whole place smell like chlorine not good when working out
* steam room smells like mildew (stay away)
* place looks like it could use up grade plus the advertize for better gyms out of town whats this about like here is our shabby place but you could do better if you you go t Merced, can they just upgrade this Hole?

This is a convenient gym. My boyfriend & I have been members for over a year now & we pay $ 50 a month. It has an upstairs floor of all cardio workout machines & downstairs weight machines. there’s another room for free weighs & another room for women work machines (per say). There’s also an indoor pool, a sauna, steam room, & hot tub. There’s all the things I need for a gym. customer service is fine: they greet when u get there they say good bye when u leave. They acknowledge u. price is right, location is good, all equipments in good condition (someone is always cleaning them or vacuuming the carpet/​floor). Oh, there’s also a daycare if u have kids & want to workout, this place is it.

I have had a bad experience with this business as well, they trick you into a membership and do not tell you that there is a $ 100 cancellation fee if you want to cancel your supposedly «trial membership» Talking to the managers will not help you regarding the cancelation fee. Beware they will scam anyone. I know someone that won a contest For a free 90 day membership for them and they would not honor the free 90 day membership unless you join.

They trick you into getting a membership and make it seem so wonderful, the manager which was Ed at the time explained everything to me and he did not tell it like it is. Now i have a year membership and he doesnt even work there anymore! He told me to come talk to him if I wanted any changes or cancel it or to put it on hold and all free. Well it is not free Im paying ten bucks a month to have it on hold I’m back in Morgan Hill and I wanted to cancel my membeship and at first they told me I could with proof of new address well now they said proof and 100 $, @ the beginning when they wanted me to get in they kept calling me and encouraging me to go and this and that and now that I want to talk to the new manager she has not called me back, Aweful experience mostly cause Im a single mom and full time student with a part time job. BECAREFUL
By the way forgot to mention Personal trainers are a seperate corpoRation they do a great job and child care here sucks! Thats another long story…

The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. It can get crowded. My main complaint is that it is kind of run down. Alot of the equipment is falling apart or broken.

Nope… was a member for about two years… management has no control over pple that just hang out and take up space and dont actually utilize the machines, made it hard to get a good workout when you had to ask someone to take their crap off a machine so you can use it… got alot of nasty looks, so I discontinued my membership.

I was a member of this gym while it was being built. They had a mini gym next door in the strip mall while the actual gym was under construction.
Judging from the outside, I expected it to be more roomier inside. It was not small, but it is not spacious. There are too many walls separating every section (cardio, weights, machines, etc.).
It is a new place, so the locker rooms look super clean with nice décor. The use of warm colors and wood laminates are a nice change from the gray and gloomy locker rooms at 24 hour fitness.
Besides, it’s not like you have a choice if you live in Los Banos. Its either this place or one of the small local joints.
