Best currency exchange place in LA. They always have great rates. I have used them many times and I am always happy.

Very professional establishment. I called ahead of time and they had my money ready for pick by the time I got there. It was a 5 minute process at total. Highly recommended it!

This place gets 5 stars from me. I needed to get money exchange in a hurry for my mother in law who was going to China the next day. They exchanged it for us quickly and cheaper rate then LAX.

I was departing for a vacation in Europe, across 8 different countries, and needed 4 different currencies for my trip. (British pound, Euro, Czech koruna, Swiss franc) I read other Unilocal reviews saying this place had some of the best rates in town and I didn’t want to drive very far on my lunch break, nor did I want to shop around that much, so I just dropped in one afternoon.
The business is tucked away inside a hotel, so you could easily drive past and not notice it. It’s on a street with virtually no parking. There’s hotel parking but it’s super expensive. I drove around the block and found an empty meter space. Put some money in the meter, about half an hour’s worth, and proceeded to walk about a block and a half before locating it.
Someone was finishing up when I walked in, so I didn’t have to wait long to be helped. I had my American cash ready to hand over. However, the whole process took much longer than I anticipated — I actually ran out of time on my meter and had to run to my car, fearful I was going to return and see a ticket on my windshield. Luckily, no meter maids came by.
But back to the exchange… I wasn’t sure exactly how much of each currency I would need, I just had a general idea of the breakdown I was going to request based on how long I was staying in each city. I first asked for them to confirm the rates for each currency I’d need. I cross-​checked them all with the current rates online, and they seemed fair, so I moved forward. Then I had to figure out how to split a finite amount of USD 4 different ways. Over the next 30 minutes, I went back and forth with the teller, trying to find the right balance. Eventually I came to a happy medium.
After my trip, I returned with a little extra cash (pounds and Swiss francs) but I would up having to get more Euros and koruna during my trip. It’s just impossible to know exactly how much you’ll need until you get there!
Anyway, the fact they had all the currencies I needed so I could avoid going to multiple locations, and the fact I got a good rate, meant it was an overall good experience. Wish it would have been a faster exchange so I didn’t have to sweat over my car, and wish there was more parking in the area, but hey, that’s downtown for ya.

I just come back from Italy and had euros with me. I ask my bank first and with them I had almost 40 $ more for the same money!
And they were really fast and friendly!

We chose to stop in here before our trip because our bank is not interested in customer service and will only order currency for you. Thankfully places like this exist. We walked in on a Saturday morning. There was only one person in front of us so we were rolling fairly quickly. The process takes a couple of minutes. They gave us a decent exchange rate too.
The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. My only minor complaint is that it seemed to take longer than it should. That being said it was only a couple of minutes so I will survive.

My first time going to this place! The staff was great! It was quick and easy! And it’s around the corner from my job! I will definitely go here again if I need to get any foreign currency!

Great service! Came in for the first time and I was received with quick and friendly service. They even improved my exchange rate and they didn’t charge any service fees! Ended up with the best possible rate compared to other currency exchanges and banks. Will definitely come back again.

This is my favorite place to go to exchange money whenever I go to France. They are friendly nice and have the best exchange rate I have found. I use them every year around this time to change my money from US dollars two euros

I’ve travelled abroad four times in the past two years, to Indonesia and South Africa, and every single time, I will make the hour and half drive to this place to exchange currency.
It’s the same man every time, and I absolutely love the way he works. He’s efficient, he’s not fussy, he’ll count the money right in front of you, and the exchange rate isn’t ridiculous. The process itself is so quick (and the place is out there enough to be easily seen), I’ll have someone drop me off and circle around the block and I’d be done by the time they get around.
Moreover, I’m one of those annoying procrastinators, and every time I got around to thinking about how much cash I needed abroad, no one had it in stock… Except this place. They do same day orders, and (on multiple occasions) I was able to pick it up the day right after I called in.
Amazing place. Would return here without second thought on any day.

Love no transaction fees! I have been using this place for currency exchange since I began traveling as a young teenager, I always call around to check currency exchange rates, and this place seems to have the best rates 98% of the time, and if they don’t, they are very close to the best rate. Plus, the service is always good, and the owner is friendly =)

This currency exchange is close to 7^th Street Metro Station, which is very convenient since I don’t drive. Before I exchanged USD into Euros, I called several Currency Exchange businesses and this place gave me the best rate. The transaction was short, easy and to the point. I will definitely come again in the future.

This currency exchange is by far the best in the LA area, hands down! I discovered this exchange online while doing copious amounts of comparison phone calls. This was after using a few other bank-​related and more privately owned places and feeling like I wasn’t getting the best deal. My friend had also paid me back for a plane ticket in Euros and I was annoyed with the thought of having to tie up my money with my bank just to get it back.
My first time coming to these guys I got stuck in traffic and called ahead to let them know I was running late and was due to arrive literally 5 minutes before they closed. They asked me how much I was trading and waiting for me with everything ready to go the moment I arrived.
The rates are the most competitive, they do not require you to deposit your new currency into an account in order to access it, and they provide parking validation if you are trading enough (use the garage just a few doors down).
Ask Sean why it pays to be a repeat customer (hint: frequent flier rates)! These guys remember you and take care of you with top notch service every time. It’s always worth the drive no matter where in the city I’m running my errands.

My parents told me about this spot. They’ve always had great rates, friendly service and responsive to voice messages. The only down side is that parking is a little difficult.

This place had the best rate, and was at a convenient location. It is on the first floor of a hotel, and had very friendly staff. We came to exchange dollar to euro for our summer trip, and we got a good rate since the euro has fallen :)

I haven’t used their service but I called to get a quote because I have a decent amount of CAD to sell. Seems like they give pretty good rates. They were giving 0.77 for 1 CAD. Here is the breakdown for the ones I’ve compared so far.
gives the best rates if you have large amounts and can go through setting up the banks but most aren’t looking to convert tens or hundreds of thousand so may not be worth the hassle.

My go to place for currency exchange. Rates are better than most others. Way better than the airport or banks. Parking is not easy to do because it is downtown. So I recommend coming on a Saturday.

I will say the service here was great and the exchange was quick and efficient. They were one of the only places that had Peruvian Soles available during a last minute bind which i appreciate.
However, I found the exchange rate terrible (2.50 when it was about 2.85). It was marginally better than the US airports, and I found exchange rates in Lima at 2.75. Not a big deal, but the kicker was one of the 100 soles bills they provided me was counterfeit. Out of the $ 700, I lost nearly $ 85 just to convert, and another $ 35 because of this oversight.
