A truly unique dining experience! Husband got on the mailing list 6 months ago; however, given how quickly spots sell out, its hard to plan around when your schedule fluctuates. BUT, we were finally able to grab a date that worked for us. Our dinner was held at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Little Tokyo. There are 2 seatings an evening and we had the 9:30pm seating. Its BYOB and we brought a french sancerre & pinot noir. Its arranged like a big dinner party and everyone was generous and shared their drinks. Cool. You step into a section of the museum and are immediately struck by the art exhibit, lighting and music. Before dinner is served, you have time to peruse the displays and take pictures, while sipping your drinks. They announce when dinner is to begin and everyone grabs a seat. Get ready to pace yourself for 9 courses of a culinary adventure. Each dish itself was an art piece to appreciate and each dish was unique and bursting with a variety of flavors. We thoroughly enjoyed all the people we met and everyone was impressed. Music throughout dinner was as varied as the dishes. We heard everything from Patsy Cline to Danzig. After dinner, Chef Craig Thornton walked around the table to meet diners. Fantastic. Approachable and friendly, he even offered an out of town guest his favorite spots for different cuisines. An Unforgettable Dining Experience.

I feel so blessed that I even got the chance to attend Wolvesmouth Taxa at the MOCA for my last dinner in Los Angeles. It was amazing, a mesh of art and food. Which, by the way, are two of my favorite things. I am surprised we even got the tickets for Wolvesmouth because it always sells out, even though its $ 200+/ person. It really does feel like a small dinner party. The art exhibit has so many things to see and really make you think. They also do this great light show on the ceiling. There are 9 courses. The plates may look small but after the fourth dish, I started to feel really full. Tip: Don’t eat for the entire day to prepare for this meal. The food was fantastic and looked almost too beautiful to eat. Some dishes did tend to veer more on the sour side, so be prepared. I liked the communal setting. The person who sat next to me was a money manager and some of Snapchat’s content people were there to document it as well. As far as dining experiences go, this is one of the most memorable ones. If you can afford it and like art and food, Wolvesmouth would be perfect for your tastes.

A Review like this requires a little bit of proving my bonafides. I am not elite because frankly I don’t have time to write that many reviews nor do I want the attention but I have more experience than most. I been traveling the world for over 25 years with at least 7 counties every year(Best ice cream ever was in Zimbabwe in a safari camp 300 miles from electricity). I always plan where I will eat and have eaten at Michelin 2 and 3 star restaurants all over the world. Tokyo, Bay Area, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Buenos Aires, Mexico, NYC, LA, and Europe are just a few of the places I have had amazing meals. I live in the food capital of the world, Las Vegas. I had heard rumors of Wolvesmouth for sometime but I always thought how can it compare to so many of the places I have been? I finally was able to go and experience the food, art, and vision of Chef Craig Thorton. I sit here just an hour after the most incredible meal I’ve ever eaten. I am not sure how to describe it with words. I could post 9 pics with descriptions but the menu always changes. I could talk about the textures, contrasts, attention to detail, or the consistency of each and every dish as 26 of us sat and enjoyed the meal but NOT one of those things begins to explain the experience. This is for those who want an eating experience that you will reflect on for years to come. This is for TRUEFOODIES! As far as value goes I challenge you to find a true full 9 course meal for less money with the same high quality of ingredients and presentation. YOUWILLNOT! If you are afraid of trying new and amazing food DON’T GO! If you like Van Decamp fish don’t bother showing up. This isn’t for those who eat at the same five restaurants month after month. This is for those who love food and realize that all flavors and textures are unique and merit appreciation on the tongue. This is where those who are on a quest for food perfection with like minded people. Please if you are afraid of squid ink DONT show up! This meal is the Vision of Craig but has become the passion of a 7 person team that delivers unadulterated pleasure to anyone who truly understands how to experience it. THANKYOU, Craig and all your team for what, for me, was more than a meal but a little above nirvana and just short of Valhalla. Aaron and Vicky

Food + art was a whole new level of culinary dining! My friend and I got to experience Wolvesmouth at the Moca(there is no Unilocal page so this will have to suffice), and it was crazy! Reservations are extremely difficult to obtain, and I was lucky enough that my friend was able to hook it up for me. From the art installation with vibrant colors to the projector on top with abstract art, the experience was so surreal. Won’t go into too much detail of the food as you have to experience this for yourself, but the dishes were pieces of art! It tasted just as amazing too if that’s even possible. We had about 9 courses at a communal table, and every course was a work of art and taste! It is difficult to get tickets, but at $ 200+ a piece, it is well worth it. The experience is so unique and astonishing, and the food is just as good to boast. This definitely ranks as one of my top experiences in terms of meals, and I hope to return and experience Wolvesmouth again!

This place is just… fantastic. I was invited here as part of a birthday dinner. I had heard that the list is quite long to get in otherwise. There was a tasting menu with each course being different. It’s housed in an area with stuffed animals so that takes some getting used to. Each course was insanely good and made to make you want more. If you have the chance to go, please do!

What an unique dining experience and be a part of this exclusive«underground high-end supperclub». Well, almost exclusive anyway. I have not been to Wolvesden or Sharksteeth. However, I did score some tickets to the new pop up edition: Wolvesmouth Taxa at the MOCA. It was very exciting to find the side door entrance into the MOCA while security escorted you inside. Once inside, you find yourself in a subdued, whimsical(a little Alice and Wonderland-esque, Tim Burton version) open space with tables set up in the center of the room. Upon closer look, the forrest-like scenery is packed full of taxidermy. On the other side of the room is the plating area. You’re free to roam around, take lots of photographs, and enjoy those bottles of wine you brought. Don’t forget, these events are BYOB, there are glasses, bottle openers, and ice available for you to use. As you can see in all the photos, the food looks beautiful. It was 9 courses: 7 dishes + 2 desserts. Each dish was like a masterpiece of edible art. Unfortunately, the sensory overload became sensory overboard? Each course was trying to be too much as the flavors just didn’t do it for me. Some dishes had a mixture of cold and warm ingredients, while others had a weird mix of flavors and textures. Some sauces were too overpowering, and the desserts were overly sweet and tart. None were memorable, but I have beautiful #foodporn for Instagram. That’s all that really matters, right? While the service was good and the servers were all very pleasant, I have to expect service to be flawless at these type of «high-end dining» establishments. After all, it’s the entire experience that makes something like go beyond the rest. The night felt very rushed, plates are cleared really quickly, and your silverware do not get replaced after each dish. A couple of my plates also had some speckles of food on it(that was ruining my Instagram game). And at the end of dinner, they kindly ask you to leave as they have another dinner scheduled in 15 minutes. Overall, the art was amazing, the concept is very neat, but the vibe was a little too hipster for me. It was an experience I’m glad I got to share, but it’s one I can check off and forget. I’m disappointed I couldn’t rave about this evening. I would have really loved for the food to be on par with the rest of the sensory explosions.

Overall the entire dining experience was unique and artistic. If you are looking to step out of a realm of the usual boring restaurant atmosphere, this is the place to try at least once. It’s a concept where the display of food and art is the main character. This is both good and bad. While everything is exciting to the eye, the flavor didn’t quite work. I was finding the combination of food whether too salty, too tangy, too sweet or just too odd! There were too many ingredients in each dish. While it worked great for the explosion of colors, it definitely did not highlight the flavor of the ingredients. To be honest, without the entire experience of art, odd excitement of dining with strangers and the friendly service: I would definitely not come back just for the food. I went to both the sharkteeth(their usual) and the new MOCA taxa installation. I hold the same comments for both dinners but the MOCA dinner was definitely more beautiful. Overall great job on the presentation and wonderful experience! 5 stars for presentation and concept. 4 stars on service. 3 stars for food. Food just did not do it for me. I’m glad I experienced it twice which is enough. It’s like going go an art museum. You really just have to see the same art once — at most twice.

My BF has subscribed to this place for a while and he finally got the response back from Wolvesmouth after waiting for three months. This was definitely most unique underground dining experience ever! The place is definitely a hidden gem. The design of the place is really hipster and cool. There are around 6 people(not sure) there helping chef Craig preparing the amazing food. Since this place is BYOB and instead of sitting on different tables, people actually get seated in the community table so feel free to share drinks with new friends! This is 9 course meal and honestly, I enjoy every course of dish. The flavor and display of the food was just incredible. They also use some cool colors to add the artsy feeling to the dish. Between course breaks, you could walk around the dining area and even to kitchen and see how chefs prepare those amazing dishes. Thank you chef Craig and the crew for giving me breath taking dining experience!

Dining at the Wolvesmouth has been on my bucket list since I found out about this exclusive dinner party. Recognizing my dreams of eating here, my fiancé coordinated dinner at the Wolvesmouth as part of our engagement. He had proposed earlier in the day and had revealed that the two of us would be dining at the Wolvesmouth later on in the evening. What he didn’t unveil though was that he had actually organized a private group dinner with our loved ones to celebrate this momentous occasion in our lives. It was the final surprise of the night, and I was completely blown away. 1. How did he score a reservation? My fiancé spent two months trying to obtain a coveted reservation, emailing them repeatedly on a weekly basis. Determined to integrate the Wolvesmouth into his proposal, he then turned his attention to setting up a private dinner. Again, he bombarded the distribution list address, and after about 15 emails, finally received some good news from the Wolvesmouth. 2. What is the ambience like? They completely transformed a Downtown LA flat into a unique dining room. The dining table is in the center, allowing you to imbibe the various taxidermy pieces that adorn the room as you eat dinner and converse with everyone. Dinner was relaxed and enjoyable, in true dinner party fashion. 3. How was the food? IMPECCABLE. Every dish was perfectly crafted in a creative and well-balanced way that truly titillated the senses. 4. Why I love the Wolvesmouth: — It’s exclusive, which makes the experience all the more alluring. I’ll admit, I have an affinity for food that requires some level of work, whether it be a reservation that is difficult to obtain or an extremely long wait. — Bring your own wine. — In between courses, you can roam around the kitchen to observe the team dutifully preparing your next course. — The Wolvesmouth team is really just a group of friends that come together to cook a wonderful meal. Under Chef Craig’s vision, the staff members work in unison and embody the definition of a team. — The chefs are extremely friendly and chat with you throughout dinner. We particularly loved learning more about their mission and their obvious passion to create good food. The FAQ on the Wolvesmouth website is very informative. BESTMEALOFMYLIFE! Thank you to Craig, Caleb, and the rest of the team for making this night one we will never forget.

The girlfriend was lucky enough to get an invite here :) It was an absolute pleasure to experience this phenomenal 9-course meal with 16 other fellow guests. The setting of our dinner was in a downtown residential loft, which made it a more intimate dining experience. I loved the relaxed atmosphere here, it’s a place where you can feel like yourself while enjoying food done at an extremely high level. Most of the guests came fairly well-dressed to the dinner but if you want to show up in sweats, you’re perfectly welcome to do that! Bring your own beverages(without the corkage fee) to pair with dinner and share with other guests! It definitely adds to the experience and makes it feel much more like a dinner party than eating at a restaurant. We brought a nice bottle of wine like many other guests, some people opted to bring beer. Each plate was an exquisitely presented and composed piece of art. There were so many plating design elements that I’ve never seen before at any other dining establishment. The taste of the food was just as amazing as the experience. Each plate was well-balanced and everything was cooked to perfection, I loved how most of the plates incorporated some sort of fruit element into the dish that actually managed to mesh quite well with the other flavors. The décor of the loft features a large collection of taxidermy and the vivd and graphic artwork on the walls walks a fine line between beautiful and grotesque. Not necessarily the most appetizing art pieces you want to be looking at during dinner but definitely a conversational item and creates an interesting theme for the space. I enjoyed hearing the stories from some of the staff members after dinner about how the staff grew organically through friends and people deciding to quite their day-jobs because they were passionate about what they were creating here. It’s definitely a dining experience unlike anything I’ve ever been to and a refreshing departure from the conventional experience you would get at a restaurant. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had and one that I won’t forget.

After a few attempts, I finally scored an invite to a Wolvesmouth dinner! The location is pretty unassuming, and you’ll have to trust your navigation system on getting you there. Once inside, you find yourself at a glorified dinner party. The room consists of one long table that seats 20 and a huge kitchen attached. I would recommend grabbing a seat on the side of the table facing the kitchen, as this allows you to watch all the action. However, the dinner itself is very casual and you’re able to get up at anytime to walk around, watch the chefs, and talk with others. I’m going to decline to go into detail about the food that was served, as the menu changes quite often. I will state that everything we tried was DELICIOUS. The portions were all bigger than expected, and my stomach left beyond full. Surprisingly, I did not get a food coma after, a good sign that quality ingredients were used. What made this dinner unique and memorable was the way in which it was conducted. I’ve never had such an experience before, and wish other restaurateurs did something similar. All guests and staff were extremely friendly and it really felt like a dinner party. Each of the 9 courses were served separately, with a detailed explanation on what was being presented. Craig, the owner, and Caleb both walked around during the meal to chat with the guests and in these conversations, we found out a lot about the restaurant and staff. Craig is a very passionate chef and isn’t in it for the money. He truly loves providing great food to the people and wants to continue running the Wolvesmouth as such for years to come. Expansion and investors aren’t in his plan and all the ingredients are hand picked at local farmer’s markets. I also applaud him for not putting a price tag on the meal, and leaving it purely gratuity based. This definitely instills a better vibe within the experience and I hope for a chance to dine at this fine establishment again someday.

What? I got to eat here? Thank you to my secret admirer for making this happen on Valentine’s Day of all days. The setting is located in the loft with a huge table arrangement and you basically get bring whatever type of alcohol for dinner. However, you’ll set it in a communal spot where you can enjoy your own or others as well. You get the go into the kitchen and see the staff preparing the food and talk to them as you please. It’s a real unpretentious setting where you get to enjoy the most fabulous foods with everyone else that loves food. You get to meet new people and the food is out of this world. There are so many places to eat these days that you come across dishes that are very similar. I would not say that’s the case here. The Chef does a great play on classic combinations and unique ones that I really enjoyed. I’d definitely dine here again if I can score another reservation. It was totally worth it.

Checked my email last week and huzzah!!! My inbox was honored with an email invitation from these guys and I’m so glad I confirmed! I had a fantastic experience a few years back and figured it was time to revisit the iconic Wolvesden for another incredible dining experience. To my surprise, on the fateful night I traveled from the OC to LA to embark on my long awaited culinary journey, my GPS directed me to a brand new location. Surprisingly, It was residential and much warmer and inviting than the old venue. It was also great seeing some familiar faces again and new ones, as well! As always, the evening’s menu was posted on the fridge so I decided give it a glance. As I hovered over the offerings of the evening, I couldn’t help but notice a strong emphasis on seafood. Considering the event was titled Sharksteeth at Wolvesden, it would make sense it was a seafood menu. Luckily, I had no aversion to seafood but unfortunately for some of my neighbors, they were not so lucky. One gal didn’t touch a single item on her plate due to seafood allergies. But if it’s any concession, she imbibed in plenty of the communal alcohol which left her nearly three sheets to the wind by the end of the evening and missing one shoe. And yes, you bring your own alcohol sans the corkage fee to the event. It’s an option of course, but I would highly recommend it. That being said, I shared some laughs and stories with other guests at the table as well, which made for an intimate dining experience that left me with many fond memories. Now I won’t get into the blow by blow of each dish, since the menu varies depending on the chef’s inspiration. But I will tell you this, the dining experience was well worth it and I’d gladly attend again if offered an invitation. Fantastic cuisine served in warm, comforting environs and great company to share it with makes for an unforgettable evening. Who wouldn’t enjoy that? Happyeats!

I am so blessed to finally get an invitation to try one of their beautiful, delicious, 9 course meals! It took me about 6 – 7 months of patience and persistence to finally get a reservation. Make sure to join their mailing list to find out when the dinners are and read/follow their instructions to get a chance to be invited. FYI, you can only request 1 or 2 seatings. If you want to do a private group event, you can contact them to arrange something. I love the exclusivity! I love the intimacy of the dinner! It’s great to be able to share a fine-dining type of meal with a group of 20 people. Fun place to meet other people over delicious food. You can bring whatever you want to drink and you can share with others. Make sure to bring cash. Do not be late. Each dish was so creative, complex, well-balanced, and delicious! When the dish is presented to you, you have no idea what it is or what’s in it but once you put it in your mouth, you can’t help but smile and feel like you’re in foodie heaven! The service was great! Thank you so much Chef Craig Thornton and staff. You guys were great! Can’t wait to come back for another dinner. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life!

Good Morning Mr. Unilocal Reader… Your Mission if you Choose to Accept it is to find Wolvesmouth’s website and enter your contact info. Periodically look out for email from code name DimSumPup or DSP. With your reply successfully infiltrate DSP’s confidence. You have 48 hours to recruit a team of no more than 2 and proceed to the rendezvous. Call your contact at the specified time to enter the Wolvesden. As always should you or any member of your team be caught or killed, the secretary will disavow all knowledge of your actions. This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds… Thus started my epic culinary mission for review #400. I always like doing something special for a landmark review, and this is definitely one of the most interesting dining experiences one can do in Los Angeles. Chef Craig Thornton has been creating and refining his underground supper club experience for quite a few years now. His food is visually stunning with epic flavors to match. A theme of his, seems to be «hiding» each dish behind a cover. Your fork plunges in a leap of faith that will be rewarded generously as flavors mix and match and surprise. From the first hidden beautifully pink ribeye steak under a squid ink dumpling to the last secret honey coconut crunch buried inside a lime tart, you’ll want to explore each dish for the treasure within. This meal is truly unconventional. As a party of 18 strangers sitting around a table next to an open kitchen, Chef Thornton aka Wolvesmouth, wants each guest to be himself. Some dressed upscale, others in a t-shirt and flip flops. Will someone famous be there? Could be… I had one of the greatest talents in Hollywood sitting across from me. It was a youngish crowd(kitchen staff included) and it felt that maybe 40 is the new 70. Plenty of wine since it was BYOB. 9 courses — all 5 stars. Course 1 — ribeye cap — creamed kimchi — asian pear — squid ink dumpling — sabayon — shallot –vermouth. This is where the trust begins. It looks black, everything is hidden, but just move the top layer of squid ink dumpling and everything is familiar once again. Who can’t identify with ribeye. There’s no amuse bouche here, and this start big and bold isn’t a mistake. The chef’s answer to getting full too soon, is to work in reverse and get smaller as the meal goes on. Course 2 — albacore — prawn — smoked branzino salad — yam — chicha morada — ahi amarillo — hominy — yam fry bread. Under the thin slice of steamed yam was rare albacore, prawn, and a creamy smoked branzino salad. The sauces brought out the flavors of Peruvian food that I so love. The tasty yam fry bread was clearly a nice hot to compliment the cool dish. Course 3 — chicken thigh — cauliflower — poblano tamale — grape — jicama — tomatillo — poblano — hibiscus. This course brought just enough heat to get your taste buds tingling, but not to linger over into the next course. This was the only spicy dish of the night. Course 4 — halibut — tarragon hollandaise — green beans — english pea — squash blossom — beet — profiterole. The creamy mixture of tarragon hollandaise and pea purée put out any remaining fire from course 3. Different textures offset the creaminess such as the one tempura’d green bean and the mini puff pastries. Course 5 — zucchini — crab — apricot — dehydrated green onion — country bread — radish — charred scallion oil. This was wonderful with the hot zucchini soup, cold dungeness crab salad, and crispy toast. Course 6 — rabbit — crêpe — lobster snap pea salad — kale — green apple — charred snap pea — cider — lobster bisque. This rabbit meatball stuffed with monterey jack cheese seems to be incorporated into most Wolvesmouth dinners. This version was breaded and deep fried to get a crisp outer shell that exploded with tender juicy rabbit and melted cheese. The lattice presentation of the crispy crêpe was visually stunning and just slightly hid the dish like a bridal veil waiting to reveal the beauty beneath. Course 7 — pork belly — turnip — plantain — grilled squash — candied peanut — pineapple — green curry — coconut. Perfect pork belly, but perhaps the most interesting preparation was the plantain which had been turned into glazed tater tots that reminded me of sugar corn pop cereal. Course 8 — nectarine — yogurt steam cake olive oil parfait — raspberry — crunch — nectarine ice. Great segue into desserts, not too sweet and almost a palate cleanser. There was a lot going on here in a good way. Course 9 — lime tart — black sesame — blueberry — lemon bavarois — lemon gelee — honey coconut crunch. Going through the tangy creamy layers of lemon and lime flavors sets the stage for the contrasting sweetness and texture to the hidden honey coconut crunch at the bottom. It was truly a memorable evening and as I walked back into the normality of everyday life, I found myself wondering if I will be lucky enough to someday enter the Wolvesden again, and what else would await me there…

I got very lucky to get invited again. Sadly, they have moved from Arts District in DTLA to Silver Lake which is a further drive for me but it doesn’t matter since the food is so amazing. The same staff and cooks were there which resulted in another outstanding meal. BYOB and make sure to fill in those red envelops at the end for this unique experience. They also have a new concept: Sharkteeth — which is a 6 course seafood meal. You can buy the tickets online on their website!

I feel cautious about even leaving a review for this because how could I possibly begin to describe my experience into one petty review? To degrade this amazing occurrence into a simple Unilocal rating? Regardless, to keep it short and simple, I was immensely blessed since this was my first rsvp since I joined the mailing list and I got in. Even though I never eat dinner so late, I gratefully accepted the 9:45 pm dinner session and took my friend who had interested me in Wolvesmouth to begin with. It goes like this: they offer you seats, you accept, they send you an email to confirm, then give you another email with the address on the morning of the event. 1. BYOB and sharing is caring 2. Offer cash donations into an envelope that they provide at the end of the night 3. Don’t be late 4. Mingle and appreciate them prepare the food in front of you. They’re very open to questions and love to talk to you, as do the other guests at the table. Chef Craig Thornton, as well, is soooo expressive and passionate-make sure you take advantage of his availability after the last course and really talk him up! 5. Dress however you want! Prepare to listen to some rock-type music. The menu is posted, though chef Thornton will take time to explain the ingredients after you have been served. I was blessed with 9 courses, all amazing from start to finish. «Come curious. Leave sated:» Couldn’t be more accurate. Service is impeccable. Wolvesden vibes and décor are amazing and exude a homey yet wild, raw feel. I was part of the second session to dine here as they just finished tearing everything apart and rebuilding it into something amazing and although it’s not the original wolvesden, the term is perfect and I am therefore leaving a review here. This location, fyi, is not in Downtown, but rather, closer to East Hollywood/Silverlake. As for the food… I really cannot put it into words. You’ll just have to see for yourself with my photos below… and taste for yourself if you’re lucky enough.

I’ve had the opportunity to experience Craig Thornton’s underground dining experience twice now. I’m a very lucky girl. Dining at Wolvesmouth is fascinating and quite the eventful night. From the moment you walk into the door, your eyes wander off to the many taxidermy pieces around his loft. You then are engulfed by the aroma of food from what you know is going to be a well-crafted menu. His menu is not for the faint of heart but for the adventurous eater(I’ve uploaded a picture of the menu). Both times I’ve been here for a private party and have relied on my friend to set up the dinner. Getting a seat at Wolvesmouth is very difficult after all. It is BYOB. Therefore, bring all the alcohol you want. The menu is placed on the fridge and the entire dining experience is about a 2 – 2.5hrs. During this time you are encouraged to get up and mingle to be able to eat all 9 courses. This is by far the most difficult part of the night. The portions look small but 9 small courses is a lot of food. At least for a 5’4, 125lb girl like me. I had to get up and walk around often and to remind myself to not finish all the plates. But that is also very difficult. Everything tastes so amazing that you will find yourself wanting to lick the plates. Craig and his team are very social and you are able to talk with them and watch them cook. It is very clear that they are all extremely passionate about what they do. This is a unique and truly unforgettable dinner that everyone should experience at least once.

Easily the BEST experience I’ve had thus far. I was told about Wolvesmouth by my cousin and immediately signed up for their mailing list. I was lucky enough to be chosen a month later. My boyfriend had some difficulties finding the location(iPhone maps failed me). Finding parking was a bit of a challenge as well. The loft space itself was pretty cool. To this day the boyfriend keeps talking about how he’d live there. We met several cool folks. Some of which had been waiting for an invite for 2 years!!!(Yikes). Because we were already running slighly late, my boyfriend and I didn’t have time to pick up drinks for ourselves, but the couple that we sat next to had brought 4 bottles of wine and offered us some of theirs, even pouring us a glass of their favorite one. Each course(9 total) was not only stunningly beautiful, but a symphony of flavors on our palate. We kept talking about how amazing it was that you could taste each individual flavor of all the components on the plate and they blended so well together. Whereas, any other place, when you order a dish, it has pretty much one, maybe two flavor profiles to it(salty, sweet, sour, creamy, etc), all of our dishes had levels of flavors that kept unfolding. There are honestly no words to describe what we experienced other than: magical. Can’t wait to experience this again!

I was fortunate to score a seat at the Wolvesden a few months ago and have been putting off writing a review because I don’t think anything I can write can give justice to how good my dinner experience was. You can read details below, or just stop reading here, get on the mailing list, and hope to get invited to one of the best and unique dinners ever. TRUST! I got an email invite after about 2 months on the mailing list and was kind of nervous having to eat a communal dinner with a bunch of strangers. It was actually pretty cool to see how the dinner progressed from kind of awk convos between strangers to a cohesive friendly atmosphere in the end. It’s BYOB and you kind of wait yourself at the table, since the kitchen staff is working hard to prepare your delicious food. Chef Craig Thornton handwrote our menu on the fridge and prepared 9 amazing dishes for our group. I won’t go into details because the menu changes based on what’s seasonally available, but the thought, process, and meticulousness in each dish was so impressive. He also chose to serve courses in an unconventional order, with some heaver/meaty dishes first that transitioned to some lighter dishes in the middle and bomb ass desserts to finish off the meal. During the dinner, he walked around and took time to chat and answer any questions the diners had. I admire his humble outlook on doing what he loves – cooking and serving amazing food. At the end of the dinner, they provide a Chinese money envelope where you give an anonymous donation. Thank you Wolvesmouth for serving one of the best dinners I’ve ever had! A true game changer. Hope to come back soon!
