Wow! Found this place on Unilocal, and it lived up to the great reviews! My fiancé had the Traditional Wurst with sides of cucumber salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was really nicely seasoned and, being that he was a bit skeptical of this place to begin with, he said he was pleasantly surprised. I had the Weiner Schnitzel, with sides of sauerkraut and fries. I love vinegar and bacon style German potato salad, but they make it with mayo, so maybe vinegar and bacon isn’t really German at all? Anyway, I’ve never had authentic German food and I loved it! The schnitzel was really good; juicy, perfectly fried and seasoned. The sauerkraut was amazing! Not too tangy and became addicting lol. Lost one star because I told our waitress I found them on Unilocal and she didn’t mention we could have free dessert by checking in through Unilocal.Otherwise, Wirsthaus lives up to the excellent reviews!

Ok so I am in heaven. Great atmosphere not stuffy or pretentious. Good excellent. Staff friendly. Potato pancakes were bite sized. The pretzel was light and fluffy. The goulash was German flavor, but doesn’t come with sides like all the other entrees so I didn’t get to try the potato salad or kraut. The Nutella pudding was free with Unilocal check in and amazingly sweet and huge! Last, but not certainly least the frickin beer selection — killer and authentic and so flavorful — loved it! Bill hurt, but full of food and beer. Happiness.

Amazing selection of German beer. Try the spicy sausage, the wild boar sausage and the fried potatoes with bacon.

Awwww yeah. Good stuff. Got the pork schnitzel with the fried egg and garlic sauce on top. It was great, beers were great, don’t have a single complaint.

Server was awesome. Food excellent. German comfort food goodness. Try the cheese studed sausage, great flavor and texture. Schnitzel was cooked perfectly and the sides including the Brussel sprouts were very well cooked

Everything on their menu makes my mouth water. The portions are large so you may be able to split them with your date/friend/etc. Seating is great the outdoor portion is heated. The staff is extremely helpful, they check up on you give recommendations if needed. The only bummer is having go to the bathroom out and the around the back. Depending on what time it is you can also park on the street for free!

I absolutely love their food. Their spaetzle is my favorite in LA and one of my favorites outside of Germany. Good beer selection too. I love all things German, so I’m all about Wirtshaus when I’m missing Berlin and want to treat myself to dinner. However… They advertise bottomless mimosas for brunch. We’ve been to their Sunday brunch a few times and love it almost as much as the dinner. We had a friend in town and took a Lyft, stoked for a mimosa-filled afternoon and some food we’d hyped. They were out of champagne! Three things could’ve made this better. 1. There’s a liquor store up the street. Go buy a case of champagne and fulfill your advertised brunch special. 2. Offer us a small discount on something else alcoholic. 3. Advertise this anywhere, on the sign outside or facebook, so we can be prepared before we sit and get comfortable. To make matters worse, as we were finishing our meal, I look up to see the bartender pulling out a bottle of champagne and pouring a mimosa. Cool.

Great place for authentic German food. Great service, lively atmosphere and awesome beers. George, our server, was friendly and fast and really knew the menu. I strongly suggest the goulash! Wash it down with a flights.

According to my German boyfriend, the prices are fair and the food is good. Not to mention, the portions are huge. We each ordered a schnitzel entrée, which came with two sides. The schnitzel was delicious! The boyfriend doubled up on the spatzel for his sides while I tried out the mashed potatoes and green beans. All of our sides were amazing! We will definitely be visiting when we’re in town again, and hopefully, we’ll have enough room in our bellies to try out the free dessert next time.

We had the sausage platter which comes with three different mustards. It is a great option to share and explore a good German sausage. As sides we ordered sauerkraut and potato salad. All items tasted just like it tastes back in Germany. We ended the night with Nürnberger Glühwein. Service was good and attentive.

Sat outside in the garden area on a nice sunny Sunday. Had the wild boar brat which was very tasty. I split this plate with someone who got the schnitzel and the schnitzel was delish! The spatzel and the arugula salad were my favorite sides. The mashed potatoes were good and the cucumber salad was good, but i thought the cucumbers missed a little bit of crunch. The apple strudel was the highlight of the meal! Lovely flaky pastry with warm cinnamon apples inside. It complimented the Glugwine just right. Service was a little slow and lackluster, but overall had a really good time here for Sunday brunch.

Cool spot. The staff are friendly. It was a busy Friday night and our waitress or servers gave us the wrong plate. 3 different people were putting our plates on our table during our visit. It took maybe an hour to get our food, a couple plates came at a time and those of us who ordered first(30 minutes before our friends arrived and then they ordered) got our food third. The beers are good. Parking sucks Prices are kind of high. Restroom is outside and around, maybe shared with neighboring restaurants. Probably won’t return.

Our party of 16 came out here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and she was offered a free boot with 10 people showing up. We also saw that they offered free Nutella pudding with a check in to Unilocal. We asked the waitress, and she said 1 per table. We had 2 tables. Then at the end of dinner says. We’re out of Nutella. I asked if she could offer the next best thing anf her respinse was utterly ridiculous. «sorry, i might get in trouble.» awesome customer service. Thanks for accommodating us. At least check with the manager to see if they could possibly make an accommodation. there goes your tip, ma’am. Oh no wait, tip it was already included.

Taking into account the fact that it was a Sunday afternoon, I’m not sure that this may be the most accurate review. That being said, there is nothing better than a Hofbrau Octoberfest Bree. Or two. And adding in the Entertainment Shinken Wurst(duck bacon sausage) and Widschwein Wurst(wild boar sausage), make it an epic food mix. If you do it right, you can get some epic sides including the homemade spark and the garlic Brussels sprouts to make it a great all around meal. The service isn’t spectacular and somewhat bewildered, but nice enough. A note to management: if you offer up a free dessert with check in, and only intend to offer one per table, instead of one per entrée, mention that in the free item with check in. Still, a great meal and fun once with friends.

Went here for dinner and they treated us like garbage. They rolled their eyes at us when we asked questions and they took 30 minutes to serve us fries… When we ordered a beer they automatically served us the biggest size they had. The fries were bomb but screw that. I won’t be back.

If I had any musical talent at all, I’d sing a song about this place and it’d go to the top of the charts. They make their own mustard. I love mustard. I live for mustard. They have 2 different kinds of veggie sausage, and both are fantastic. They have giant beers, and ping pong, and wait staff so attractive they could PLAY waiters in movies. Potatoes, sausages, and beer from anyplace else will never again stack up. I wish I could give their bathroom a Unilocal rating of its own. Six stars.

Deutschland Vaterland! My buddies and I came here after having dinner. Word has it that the beer here is pretty awesome, and we were not disappointed. We also ordered a platter of German sausage. It came with three separate varieties, as well as various mustards. The beer was served in a huge mug, and was every bit delicious. The most intriguing part about this place is the digestive drink they serve in tiny bottles. This particular drink is meant to be taken all in one shot, and has a strong herbal taste. It doubles as a breath freshener too. I liked this place, and I will be back to try out their other platters.

I have been to Wirtshaus many times, so I am rating my overall experience here. I recently came here the other night with my friends and had a pretty good experience. Overall, my experiences have been really good. The food is always outstanding and the service is great most of the time. It is a really chill environment and a great place to come to with friends. I adore their schnitzel and their apfel strudel. They have many great beer options for beer lovers everywhere. We came here the other night and the food was awesome, but the service was a little slow. It seemed like there was only about one person serving everyone. We raved to our friend about how great this place was, but was a little disappointed as it took him about 15 minutes to get his drink. They were very accommodating with my husband’s onion and garlic allergy and although they accidentally brought him the schnitzel that had onions and garlic in it, they quickly brought him back the one that he had ordered that he could have. To make up for bringing out the wrong entrée, our server brought us out an apfel strudel which was very nice. Food: For appetizers, we had the bretzel and the Reibekuchen which is always amazing. The sweet mustard and the cheese spread that comes with the bretzel is really great and the potato pancakes have such great flavor with the apple sauce and the mascarpone cheese. I also tried the potato corn chowder soup which was good. I got the wiener schnitzel which was delightful. The schnitzel is made just how a German schnitzel should be made(thinly pounded and crispy). Their homemade spatzle and sauerkraut is great. For dessert, I tried their strawberry cheesecake which was good. I had the impression that the strawberry flavor would be baked into the cheesecake but it was just on top. Their cheesecake is great though! I love the apfel strudel. It’s perfect. Service: Usually on point. Wasn’t this time, but overall the servers are very nice and usually quick. Overall, I would definitely recommend Wirtshaus. Great German food and reasonably priced!

Well, I came in as I found this place on the Internet because they serve my favorite German beer, Krombacher. They have it and I drank it. Well needed some food with my beer and was about to order and power goes out. Soccer games on tv and kitchen are off. So upset but not the fault off by he restaurant as some construction outside hit the powerline and took it out in the whole area. Two hours minimum out. Really stinks as food menu looks good and there is not many German places. Worst part is that I won’t be in this area again for a long time as n it is over a two hour drive from home. Happened to be in the area today to try it out. Beer prices reasonable, menu looks good and nice looking place. So for food I can’t say but for beer selection for me because of Krombacher it is 5 stars. So for now I’ll go 4.

I haven’t quite gotten into German beers but if you are a German beer fan, you can’t beat this place. What I really enjoyed, more than the beer, was the food. I had a fantastically rich creamy Wirtshaus Schnitzel(sauteed pork breaded and topped with garlic cream sauce and fried egg with cabbage and brussel sprouts). A Unilocal coupon entitled me to a free large and delicious«Nutella» pudding with whipped cream and a chocolate cookie. Others at our table ordered the apple strudel which was also fantastically decadent. For newcomers who are intimidated and befuddled by the large German beer list, I suggest a tasting flight of five beers in five ounce glasses. The selections are chosen by the restaurant, and you get to drink various beers from light to dark, from pilsner to stout. Last night was the NBA playoffs, and the restaurant was riveted on the playoff finals, and Lebron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers vs. the Golden State Warriors. There are flat screen TVs above the bar, possibly annoying to those who want to carry on conversations, but a privilege to those who are sports fans. Staff was friendly here. Especially good was our server who chose beers for us and seemed quite knowledgeable about their various attributes. My only complaint so far are the bathrooms which are smelly and badly ventilated.
