Probably more appropriately named Westwood Homeless Shelter, as there are 7 – 8 homeless encampments set up at any given time. Normally I wouldn’t care, but trash gets thrown around and I have found drug paraphernalia(needles and a pipe) on a few occasions campsite adjacent, so watch your kids if they pick anything up. Grass is usually dead(but I don’t blame them, we have been in a drought). But hey, it’s an open area in LA, which are few and far between, so it’s better than nothing. They put in a new soccer field that is quite nice.

I work right next to this park. So it’s nice to be able to walk through a park when you take your breaks. But the only bad part about this park is that it’s full of homeless people. They pitch their tents here or sleep in the trees. When you walk past them, you know! The smell is so strong. But nevertheless, I rather walk through a park than sidewalks.

Has great soccer field, tennis courts and children’s playground. 2015 drought has taken a toll on the parks surroundings. very sad to see grass so bad. dirt patches make it unsafe to play ball on grass. they have a cool statute climbing structure, but now closed with fence around it. just part of this parks decline. parking can be crowded even with big parking lots. Pot can be smelled as you walk outer boundaries of park lots of homeless in park who watch you. not safest feeling park lots of noise from 405 freeway and Wilshire. so not great for meditaton. There are lots of better parks in Los angeles, but this park has potential if city will improve it and put more care into it. Why is the landscape Gardener here not taking care of it?

An everything park — love the local community alive and thriving after work… Pick-up bball, daughters improving their serve with ever patient fathers, soccer for all ages of children… Lovely A family was flying a you remote heli,& there are a plethora if dogs, couples, singles,& loads and loads(5 I truly counted) of play sets and rubberized grounds to catch the fall of the clumsy toddler. Walked 4 times around the perimeter — needs way more than an hour. Great safe exercise even though the west end of it is very dark and poorly lit. Spotted about 4 transients with their carts. Don’t be here after 8 or 9 pm, methinks,
