Stephen and I enjoy attending lectures on Egyptology(thats like, old history, before King Tut old!) and occassionally the group has to find a temporary location for a lecture. The group booked the Westside Pavilion for this particular lecture, and we were assigned Community Room A, located behind the food court on level 3. The best place to park is on the roof. You get 3 hours of free parking, but if you can get validated(we found a machine on level 2 right outside Urban Home), the cost is $ 3 if you go over 3 hours(saving you $ 2). When we walked inside, it was a lovely little room. Very clean, with a little kitchenette area, a closet full of tables and chairs, a podium, 2 full size trashcans, and a full screen for presentations. I really thought we hit the jackpot. That’s about the only positive part of booking the room, that, and the cost to rent the room was very reasonable. — The foottraffic in front of the room is awful, as the toilets are down the hall. Lucky your back is to the door, so you can’t see the people walking by, gawking inside the room. — The room is located below a speedbump, so every few minutes you can hear a «Ca-CHUNK» sound, probably from cars who didn’t slow down for the bump. At first I thought it was someone kicking open a door, or someone using an industrial smashing machine. When a large vehicle took the bump with extra speed, it actually shook the floor of the conference room. Aside from being cheap to rent, this room is not that good of a deal.
