I very recently saw him to get all of my wisdom teeth removed, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve EVER had with any dental work I’ve had to get done, including basic cleanings. I was honestly very, very nervous going into the procedure and Dr. Brooks’ kind spirit, positive attitude and professionalism calmed me down almost immediately. I received general anesthesia, and he reassured me that it would be a quick and easy procedure, which is exactly what it was…
What made it even better, is that from the time I woke up from anesthesia to even now (4 days later) I haven’t felt a single ounce of pain AT ALL through recovery. I kept saying it was a miracle, but now I realize it wasn’t a miracle… It was the incredible talent and encouragement of Dr. Brooks and the help of his equally talented dental staff! Exceptional work done by exceptional people.
In my opinion, Dr. Brooks is the BEST oral surgeon in L.A. and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone and everyone looking to have any type of oral surgery done here. Amazing! Thorough! Outstanding!

Staff is HORRIBLE!!!
My dental insurance company notified me that they couldn’t cover $ 666.00 of the services I recieved which was odd, because I spoke to them stating that Dr. Brooks’ staff charged me $ 1,000.00+ for services that wouldn’t be covered. I called Dr. Brooks’ office about it and spoke to Helen and another lady in billing who confirmed that they over-​charged me more than what was reported to my insurance and that they will provide a refund.
Over a week has gone by and I had not heard from them. Had no idea if they were going to write me a check or refund the money back to my account. Called them back and they said they mailed a check.
At all the healthcare facilities I’ve worked in and working in customer service in general, it is ALWAYS a standard procedure to make sure you have the right address, which these ladies didn’t do and mailed a check to an old address. It has been almost a month and all mail from the old address has been forwarded to me – EXCEPT that supposed check.
I’ve spoken to Helen two more times. Left 2 – 3 voicemails letting them know to cancel that ‘check’ and to call me so that I am aware of any action taken place instead of just waiting. OFCOURSE no one has returned a call. Spoke to Helen again and she says she’ll pass on the message. Another week has gone by… No communication and no check/​refund.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I loved Dr. Brooks’ service but I would NEVER recommend another person to go to this facility so that they can be:
1. Over-​charged from an untruthful organization
2. Deal with inconsiderate staff and poor customer service
3. Possibly never get their money back

I very rarely write Unilocal reviews and the only two I’ve written were due to poor service. However Dr. Brooks is so amazing that I had to post my experience. I have a genetic disorder that causes me to have a very small mouth. I had been to several periodontists who could not help me. I was referred as a last resort to Dr. Brooks. The procedure I needed is not even his specialty but he agreed to help me. He not only improved my quality of life by giving a bit more room in my mouth but he also did a second procedure because he just wanted to help.
He is a passionate provider and truly «wants» to help people have better lives. I am very blessed to have met him and any patient who sees him will have the same experience.

AVOID PLEASE AVOID
First of all READ the fine print.
I was refered by my primary dentist to Dr. Brooks and had a horrible experience.
I was not informed they had a $ 125 consultation fee, supposedly I was told verbally but they did NOT, my insurance covers 100% and unfortunately I initial without reading (that is my fault) but who charges $ 125 for consultation fee that should just let you know this Dentist is GREEDY!!!
If my primary dentist would had advised me of the fee I would avoided visiting this dentist. Also I waited an hour to be seen by him and when he saw me he repeated what my primary dentist told me. He spent only 10 mins with me, a few weeks later I receive the bill for $ 250 for the consultation and x-​ray. The crazy thing about this I never got the x-​ray done and when I ask them to see it they said they will not show it to me until I pay but they will show it to my primary dentist for comparison?
Looks like they are both in it right?
Anyways watch out and I hope some you read this before you visit his office.

I went to Dr. Brooks around 4 years ago because of TMJ issues. Looking back, he gave me an honest assessment of my issues and what needed to be done to fix the issue.
He performed on me: 1 tooth extraction, 2 bone grafts, and 2 implants. Everything went smoothly! no issues, no pain… I truly believe Dr. Brooks is in a class of his own and a real professional.

Dr Warren Brooks took great care of my dental needs. He and his staff were extremely friendly and professional. I was referred to Dr Brooks by another dentist who told me I needed a specialist, I arrived on time for my appointment, they were ready for me right away. He took care of my problem during my first visit without any pain at all. I was really impressed. I didn’t have dental insurance, was given a reasonable discount since I was paying cash. I’ve found an Oral Surgeon I’m very confortable with, have refereed a few friends, they thanked me.

Oral Surgeon, Dr. Brooks! One of the most talented, professional and kindest doctors in Los Angeles. Recently, my 17 year old daughter required three wisdom teeth extracted and Dr. Brooks was our #1 pick. The morning of my daughters oral surgery, he explained every step which helped with calming my daughters nerves. The evening After the surgery he gave us a follow up call to check up on her. The surgery was highly successful and my daughter did not have any swelling, pain nor discomfort and is completely back to normal. Thank you Dr. Brooks you are simply The Best!

I have no fear of needles. Dentists though, a different story. Went to Dr. Brooks for an implant. So fearful, I actually was scheduled and cancelled a few times. Finally bit the bullet (no pun) a few months ago and just completed the last step in the procedure.
Twilight sleep is a wonderful thing. I experienced absolutely zero pain during or following the procedures. I still have the pain meds left over. I would do it again or recommend it to anyone in need… with one caveat. Only with Dr. Brooks!!!
The level of professionalism, care, and service delivery were top shelf. State of the art office and equipment. Pre and post appointment follow-​up by well trained, caring, staff.
I’d definitely recommend them, as they made what was previously a scary proposition for me, painless and quite comfortable.

Ok. Been to Dr Brooks twice now and my wife numerous times. We both fly in from Aspen to do our major dental work with him — couldn’t ask for better. Feel totally safe and comfortable under his care and he’ll do what it takes to get it done right. He cares.

I am a dentist practicing in Marina del Rey and have referred some patients to Dr. Brooks over the years. My patients have not only had excellent results but have also had a top notch experience because Dr. Brooks handles all aspects of the patient appointment so well. Last week, I personally accompanied my patient to an appointment so I could meet his staff and watch Dr. Brooks work. My patient and I were both impressed as he performed a difficult procedure with ease. Dr. Brooks is fantastic. I was referred to him by my dentist for impacted wisdom teeth extraction and he and his assistants did an excellent job — both for the surgery and care afterwards. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Doctor Brooks is a legit dentist, great guy, excellent at his trade. My experience was better than I expected. The surgery was performed painlessly! Warren is also fun to talk to (about sports etc.)
The Negatives (–2)
They will try to upsell you! For extractions, they offer you the option of anesthetics — getting knocked out or just getting numbed locally. The latter is $ 4 – 500 cheaper. I openly told them they could punch me in the face for $ 500. I only found out when I asked for a breakout of costs. (Ultimately, it was a non-​issue because I took the cheaper option, and still felt nothing!)
The billing lady (I think its Lucy), is very condescending on the phone. I don’t know who her usual audience is, but she will talk to you in a very demeaning tone over simple billing inquiries.

If you’ afraid to have sinus lift augmentation you have nothing to worry about if you see Dr. Brooks! Excellent oral surgeon ! Treatment was a breeze let us know in advance what to expect explained treatment in plane English none of that dental language! Thanks Dr. Brooks for your friendly professional service!

I wish I had read Mike W.‘s review before I went to Dr. Brooks’ place, but lo and behold, while i sat in the chair, the exact same thing was happening to me.
The identical story. .. to a tee.
Short version: made an appt. 2 weeks in advance;
took 2 hours off of work;
drove in traffic for 1 ½ hours
arrived on time
waited 45 mins. while 2 people tried to take my pic. (I only allowed one pic)
blah blah blah.
After 45 mins. I left. I never met Dr. Brooks
9:30 p.m. received a t/​c from Dr. Brooks apologizing. . are you kidding me?
sherri don’t wait. .. don’t go here unless you wanna wait.
The 1 star is for the nice bathroom :)

Couldn’t have asked for a better wisdom teeth removal experience.
Went in for a quick evaluation with x-​rays; was out in about 30 minutes with a time for the surgery.
The surgery was so easy. He gave me the option of general anethesia and of course I took that. The whole surgey itself lasted 30 minutes, so about 1:30 from in the door until I left stumbling out. Be sure to bring a driver and be sure they listen to the post-​op instructions because you will not remeber really.
When you leave he has your antibiotic and pain-​killer perscription ready.
The following three days I took my pain meds as told, but never experienced any pain. And very little swelling.
I took two days off work, but realistically I really only needed 48 hours before I was fully functioning.
**Of course all that varies on the patient I am sure, but for my teeth that were almost already in and seemed to not be impacted or complicated in any other way, it was fine**
Dr. Brooks knows what he is doing and does a superb job. Highly recoemmended. His staff is also very curtious. I even showed up an hour early to my post-​op check in and they saw me right then.
Hopefully I never need to go back, but would go out of my way to choose Dr. Brooks if I ever needed to again.
Also, parking is 1 $ for 30 mins in the garage and they do not validate. Just grab the free street parking on Sepulveda.

I recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Brooks. Based on other people’s warnings about their wisdom teeth experiences — I was braced for the worst. Not really necessary, because the entire process went better than I could have imagined.
Leading up to my surgery I had a consultation visit. The wait to see the doctor wasn’t long and in the consultation room there was a tv to watch and a great view which made it pleasant.
Dr. Brooks explained that two of my teeth were not errupted and I would be put under for the surgery.
The surgery was really fast. I remember Dr. Brooks saying I was going to feel funny and when I went to ask him what he meant, I was opening my eyes and it was over. :-)
My recovery went really well and even though there was a problem with my prescription, Dr. Brooks was very fast in resolving it. (My pharmacist friend says that the people at the pharmacy were being jerks not Dr. Brooks).
My friends who were giving me their warning stories were all really impressed to see how fast and easy my recovery was. I’m happy with the service I received from Dr. Brooks.

Dr. Brooks is the bomb!
He is the best at what he does. I cannot say enough great things about him and his office.
He thoroughly explains his treatment, he follows up by calling after the procedure to make certain you’re comfortable. I can highly recommend him to anyone having teeth extractions or implants placed.
Although some of his staff members may get distracted and not be as attentive as I would like. Dr. Brooks is worth every dollar I gave him!

I wish I could give negative stars but I can’t so I have to be content with a 1 star rating.
I’ll explain a LONG unsatisfactory experience LONG so you all can experience the pain I experienced.
I arrived @ Dr. Brooks office @ 2:45 (my appointment was @ 3:00) I arrived early to make sure I had enough time to fill out the new patient paperwork and et cetera

I complete the paperwork by 2:55 and I’m shuttled into a room and told Dr. Brooks will be in shortly.
10 minutes goes by and the annoying admin strolls in and smiles and laughs and says that Dr. Brooks will be in soon.
20 minutes goes by and the annoying admin strolls in and smiles and laughs and says that Dr. Brooks will be in soon. At this point I ask her if he’s that busy I can reschedule (I had a 4:30 meeting I wanted to make and I was told in a prior conversation this consultation would only take 30 – 45 mins). Anyway, she says he’ll be done soon.
35 minutes goes by I ask the admin what’s going on and she annoyingly smiles and laughs and says he’ll be done in 5 minutes — at this point I want to ask in an extremely terse voice «Is this funny to you, do you see me F’ng laughing or smiling or joking?» BUT I don’t, my mother and father raised me better so I simply nod.
45 minutes goes by and I ask that annoying admin what’s taking him so long and she says he said give him 5 minutes (he’s finishing a suture or something) and he’ll be into see you and I tell her «You told me he’d be done in 5 minutes 20 minutes ago, should I reschedule?» and she says «That’s your decision sir.» So I just stare at her and then just continue to stare out the window and decide to give him 5 more minutes.
8 minutes later still no Dr. Brooks so I walk out the room, open the door to the lobby, tell the admin staff I’m leaving and walk out the door to the hallway and PAY my validation parking fee which he does NOT cover.
Now, this experience tells me 3 things about Dr. Brooks — he’s either:
1. Unorganized
2. Inconsiderate
3. Greedy
4. All of the above
He could be unorganized because he double booked me with another patient.
He’s def. inconsiderate because if he had taken the time to come out for even just TEN seconds to apologize then that would have meant a lot to me but he didn’t and left me waiting in the room staring at some wall for an hour.
He could be greedy cuz maybe that patient came in out of the blue and needed some kinda surgery that would’ve made him bank and so he left me waiting — ya know the gurantee money versus potential money.
In his defense he did call and leave a vm apologizing but to me but I don’t care how nice or caring you sound on the phone or in person (I worked in financial sales, I’ve actually witnessed colleagues sucker poor old single ladies into handing over their life savings into a stupid product and all done with a smile and the lady thinking my colleague was their best friend). As my good friend Eddie always says, don’t put yourself in a position to be sorry — which is sage advice, however, I’m not as hardcore as he is — you can make mistakes with me but just along the way let me know you’re screwing up so I can take it better — but Dr. Brooks didn’t even do that as I was waiting in his bare white lab room.
So to recap:
1. I waited a long time for a doctor I never met
2. The annoying admin didn’t help the situation
3. I had to pay for parking
In short, I could have been a life long patient and referred a ton of clients to Dr. Brooks (a lot of my asian friends have bad teeth) but now I’ll have to be content knowing that every time someone asks me if I know a good oral surgeon I can tell them who not to use.
