Vanity Box Beauty Shop

Booked my appt at the last min (as usual) and luckily Regina had something available. We made my appointment for 8am on a Thursday and she was on time! She applied my relaxer with swift hands. While we were talking, I mentioned that I didn’t have breakfast and Regina offered me her sausage mcmuffin! Now that’s service! She and the rest of the hair stylists were very nice and friendly. She had me out of the shop in about 90 minutes and I’m thankful because I had to get to work on time. The only downfall is that I think she used a bit too much oil in my hair because it was oily when I left, I think she might have put too much on her hands right before she blow dried. I’ll be sure to let her know when I go back. I definitely must try her at least once more. They have street parking in the front and parking in the rear.

Love this place. Shavon has been braiding my mom’s hair since i wa sin elementary and im in the 10^th grade now.
My godmom gave me a present that i was to get my hair done every 2 weeks and she would pay for it up until i turn 18.
Brenda did my hair from 7^th grade up until her death this year. She will truly be missed. She knew my hair just right and made it look so good i wouldn’t have to worry about anything except for not sweating it out. She lastly did my hair for my 8^th grade culmination. I was so happy that day .
After her passing i switched to Shavon. She does my hair VERY GOOD. She works miracles and i mean miracles on my hair. I will come in that shop looking like who shot john and leave looking like a model who just left the runway. I always get a press and flat iron to my medium length bob hair. Just recently i got bangs and they look VERY good. I keep getting compliments.
The service is good. They offer free services. I get my hair cellophaned for free and you might just get a conditioner if your hair really needs it.
The wait time shouldn’t be long if you come when your appointment s. they do not take walk-​ins EVER. But they are kind to setting you up an appointment when you need one.
The shop is small and is like a close knitted family. The owner, Vicky, sister, Regina, works there. The three other employees are family just as well though not related by blood.
Shavon did my hair for my homecoming dance. i have to say it was lovely.

I really love this place and will being going back in September for my back-​to-​school do. maybe this time ill get a shorter bob.

When I want my hair layed I go to the Vanity Box and ask for Regina. They sell human hair there but the quality still isn’t very good. I would recommend you bring you favorite brand of human hair if you want a weave or something.
Press, Flat Irons, Wet Sets, Curls, Ponytails, Buns, Up Sweeps, are fantastic here. Regina doesn’t make you wait and for a flat iron it takes about an hour with shoulder length hair. Oh and Regina is on time and doesn’t make you wait for here.
