History

Established in 1982.

Uvasun was established in 1982 as Hollywood’s finest tanning facility. In November of 2001, Uvasun brought the FIRST spray tan booth to Los Angeles. In 2005, Uvasun introduced red light therapy for skin fitness from Omnilux, and in 2008 Uvasun brought the SlimStar infrared device to treat cellulite reduction and weight loss. In 2012 Uvasun installed the PURA device … a fantastic machine that offers heated spray tan sessions and full-​body skin brightening applications. I recently started coming here for a pre summer bronze. I LOVE the staff! Every single one of them are friendly and can answer any question. They are knowledgable of services and great all around.
A little pricey for tanning services, but for a one month unlimited for the pre summer glow, I think it’s worth it. The beds are always clean; bulbs seem to be changed frequently for strongest rays. There are little candies to pick at before going into your room and it is A/​C very well so you’re not sweating your butt off!
They offer complimentary waters and drinks! Love this.
Overall, my experience has been nothing short of great. I highly recommend this place! Parking is in the back and never full! Such a great addition.

This is the most incredible place! My girlfriend and I frequent here and have fallen in love after discovering their skin and fat loss treatments.
My girlfriend and I work out regularly but were struggling to get into amazing shape. The combination of the slimstar and contour light body sculpting got us through the final stretch to our goal. I was unsure about it at first, but the results prove that it works. My girlfriend would hate that I am saying this, but it was the contour light body sculpting that helped her loose that last stubborn 15 lbs. Alright, it helped me too!
Also she did a lot of the omnilux treatment for her skin and I saw a huge difference in her face. The wrinkles around her eyes are reduced and her skin is smooth and glowing.
The staff here are great as well. Very friendly. Lenora is a gem. She is very good about accommodating and making you feel at ease. Plus she knows a ton of detail about how each service works and why. It was refreshing to have someone genuinely interested in helping us find the right services rather than trying to make a quick sale.
The only thing we don’t understand is why its only called uvaSUN. They have way more to offer than just spray tans/​tanning beds. For this reason they get 4.97 out of 5 stars for making us discover the rest.

Always leave feeling great! They are always super helpful and honest. Not gonna take your money or tell you do something you don’t need. The future sun is awesome. The Contour light is awesome. The air brush is great. I love this place. Great vibes!

This was my first spray tan experience, and it was great. There is free parking underneath the building that you can access from an alley. I didn’t realize that until after I’d already parked on the street, but it’s good to know for next time! There’s also an open bar! The ladies working at the salon were so nice and informative.
I didn’t feel awkward at all, even though you’re basically getting naked in front of a stranger, I was put right at ease. I’m pretty light skinned and pale, I haven’t laid out in the sun in quite a while. I chose to go for a medium tan, and I love it! In fact I think I’ll go for dark next time! It looks so natural and isn’t orange at all. I highly recommend this place!

Had an amazing experience at UVA sun. Staff is friendly, warm, welcoming and attentive. The actual salon is comfy, pristine with a lot of plushy chairs, soft television playing in the back and soothing lighting (compared to the usual very harsh light of salons). The manager and her staff are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Attention to detail, professionalism and price. CANNOT BE BEAT.

I am on day three post– airbrush and love it. I look bronzed, not orange at all and have had several compliments/​friends asking where I went.
The facility itself is nice. Prime location. Parking in the back. Pleasant atmosphere upon arrival with a complimentary refreshment bar. They were very accommodating, explaining prep options thoroughly and even applying the protective lotion on my hands and nails for me.
I would highly recommend!

I got my spray tan done here almost 2 weeks ago, and I absolutely loved it!!! I got it done by Cristina, who did a fantastic job! I felt completely comfortable, as this is only the second time I’ve ever gotten a spray tan (first time at uvasun). She was also very knowledgeable, answering all of my questions, and letting me know how to prolong my tan.
The tan itself has lasted a good while! It didn’t smell icky after I got it done, and it didn’t streak! I also never thought I looked orange. I chose to spray my face as well, because my face is very white compared to the rest of my body, and I was worried I might break out, but to my surprise, nothing out of the ordinary happened to my face! It also made my makeup look so much better when I applied it. My butt cheeks are also very white, and she did such a great job at blending them with the rest of my body. Hooray for looking sexy naked!
The facility itself was very clean! I loved the set up that they had, and even the tanning beds looked very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly, chatting with me before I was brought back for my tan. I asked about specials and pricing, and they were happy to inform me, but were never pushy! I definitely appreciate that!
There’s easy, complimentary Parking in the back, which is great for a busy area in west Hollywood. And once you get up to the establishment, you can also enjoy complimentary refreshments!
I definitely plan on coming back here!

LOVE this place. The staff is so friendly, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. More than that, they don’t feel like they’re trying to sell anything to you; they feel like friends who just happen to provide an amazing service.
The beds are super clean. There are tons of different packages and options. I had my first ever spray tan here, and I was pretty nervous but they made me feel totally comfortable and they were completely sweet and professional!
Most importantly, the tans turn out great! Highly highly recommend.
Complimentary drinks AND super easy parking behind the building too! Amazing for such a popular area on 3rd St. Thank you so much ladies!

I just got done getting an amazing airbrush spray tan from Melinda & her trainee, Lenny. Melinda was super nice and knowledgeable, she answered any question I had. The process was quick and easy & unlike other spray tans I’ve received, the solution actually SMELLS good!
I keep checking the mirror to see how I look and I’m already so happy with the color, it’s not orange at all, there are no streaks. All in all, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing results! I was blown away by the level of professionalism at Uvasun. I was a little uncomfortable with the thought of being airbrushed, naked, by another person. However, my color looks amazing, and I was put at ease by the staff, I never felt insecure or unaware of what was happening. They gave me extensive directions on how to extend the life of my tan, and what to do for prep. I’ve only done bed/​machine spray tanning in the past, but they made me a believer in the personal touch. My tan looks very natural, even and has lasted me a long time.

I LOVE THE SLIMSTAR BODY WRAP!!! I’ve lost 80 lbs in total… But the last 15 – 20 lbs were always my problem. I’d fluctuate and find it difficult to keep those last few pounds off, or I would notice fat accumulating on certain ‘problem areas’ of my body. The Slimstar tightened everything up, soothed my muscles, detoxed my skin, and helped me shed those extra pounds! It’s amazing.

I recently checked out uvasun and was so impressed! The space was relaxing and clean. The staff was great, Malinda was amazing and went above and beyond. She showed me how to work the beds and gave me so much knowledge on the different services offered, including that cool body wrap! The best part is I got a great deal, a great tan and great customer service! Thank uvasun and thank you Malinda!

First time at this salon and I was very impressed with there skin care knowledge. I did the facial rejuvenation treatment which left my skin feeling firmer and softer. I followed this with the new Pura Spray booth which was a huge improvement over the old style Mystic booth that I had done at another salon. I will definitely be returning when I am up this way.

Once again 5 !!! This place is simply the best! I had a minor allergy and I had to stay away from the sun or any tanning beds, I discuss over the phone with one of the girls and explained her my situation. she was so nice understandable. and told me she’s going to contact the owner to see how we can resolve my problem, since I have a membership. She called me within an hour and told me that they can transfer my membership to the spray tan sessions.
And by the way they have the best quality of spray
gives your skin the amazing perfect Bronze Gold color. So once again that’s the best tanning salon in LA by far!
