US Post Office

Who the hell is in charge of hiring these people? This post office has the worst people working for them. They are so rude, SLOW, bad mannered and ignorant. The worst part is their manager Uco Johnson is the worst of them all. I ask to speak with him regarding a matter and instead of coming to our assistant he sat as his desk and played with his phone (his desk is 5ft from the window) I’m literally looking straight at him as he purposely makes me wait 10 minutes before getting up. Then, he approaches me with a «what is it»? kinda of attitude.
It’s sad to say, people who don’t deserve good jobs have one. These people are so sad and miserable and not to mention horrible at what they do.
After the worst experience ever, I had my husband come down to pick up our mail that was being held. After my husband also complained, their worthless manager told him to «get a PO box» if he didn’t like their service. Lazy incompetent worthless staff here.

HORRIBLE SERVICE GUARANTEED… This place is so negative and the nasty attitudes will make you glad you drove somewhere else. I only come here when I am in a rush and in the area but no more, never again! My last 3 visits: 1. As soon as I walk up with my Priority Envelope ready to go, she asks how can I help you but before I even respond shes telling me speak up split second goes by and again shes yelling at me! smh I just walked away and went to another office. 2. Attitudes everywhere and my priority package never made it, it was a traffic ticket going to the court in Inglewood… I got it in the mail like 2 months later. 3. They were harassing a Latino lady making assumptions about her citizenship and treating her as if she was not even a person, it was so pathetic I had to speak up and her to leave the lady alone. Please avoid this office, I actually have to follow up on the report I wrote to the office of Maxine Waters over that issue. This place needs a whole new staff such a disservice to this community.

The more places I visit in Los Angeles and inglewood, the more I learn that customer service really doesn’t exist. I’ve never been to a post office as gross and old looking as this one. And geez it’s chaotic. The line went kind of fast but the clerks seem to rush you and act like they hate their jobs!
They need to hire new younger people who would appreciate a good job.
The clerks act like they’re doing you a favor by doing their job! This place could use a renovation and organization! Note to self: next time you need to ship something, buy groceries, or interact with other humans. go to a different neighborhood.

Terrible office!
Terrible reliability and terrible customer service.
Nobody has delivered mail around here for the past two days (in the entire neighborhood) and here it is, Saturday at 4:00pm and we’re all still waiting. After calling several times and getting my call ignored a woman finally answered with an attitude problem trying to rush me off the phone rather than adhere to the issue. This is the most ghetto and ignorant USPS I’ve come across. They need to hire some new staff that WANTS to do their jobs.

This is an updated review to reflect my past 4 visits and issues I have been having with some ignorant window clerks. Especially those who love to argue you down and think just because they work here, they know everything. This review is for an old blk ugly bald headed bitch named Velma. Now I look at name tags when I get consistent issues with these people. But the issues are her ignorance and frequent arguments over nothing.
I am a regular shipper at no less than 6 separate post offices a week. The one that I’m closest to is the one I use for that day. So I am well aware of updated USPS policies.
I tend to come prepared. Meaning I have all my forms filled out. Packages and mailings sealed and ready. Only thing I need to do is hand the window clerk all of my mailings and let he or she scan everything. Ask me if there is anything liquid, perishable, etc. I always answer no. They don’t need to ask me how much insurance or anything. Labels are already prefilled. I swipe my debit card. Punch in my pin. Get my receipt. Then I’m on my way.
But this bitch named Velma, who is a veteran window clerk, always says the most ignorant things about mailings. Then will try to argue with you and hold up line. Once you shut her down by not arguing with her, she gets angry and cops attitude. Since I paid w cash Today, she angrily tossed my change in window slot.
Today and three previous times she had issues with my:

Let me explain these labels. These free labels can be conveniently ordered by any consumer at
They come in packs of 50. They are used for any package that requires no more than $ 50 insurance.
When you use them on Priority Mail shipments, up to $ 50 insurance comes free.
When you use them on first class parcels, you will need to pay a few for up to $ 50 insurance.
I ship priority mail, exclusively. So I use them daily.
Whenever I come to her, she always says the same bullshit:
«Where did you get these labels?»

«We don’t use these anymore. Where do you use these?»
(Mam, I have successfully used these labels at over 20 different post offices this month, including LAX, main office, etc.)
«These are not over the counter labels. Consumers can’t use these.»

«These are prepaid labels. You can’t use these. My machine prints out a new tracking number. Only insurance labels you can use are the brown ones ($ 100-​$ 500 coverage labels) or blue ones (over $ 500 coverage)»
Seriously, bitch do what you must. Why argue? I see why this post office line is always long.
That’s just one issue that she tries to argue you down. There are a lot of other issues where she definitely needs to to study The USPS DMM. Because this bitch is annoying and ignorant. I can give her a lesson. I have the .pdf on my phone and computer. It’s 1736 pages. I don’t know everything. But if it’s something I’m unsure, I will go to source. The source is USPS DMM. Not an idiot employee who doesn’t know policies, procedures, etc.
I get tired of coming prepared and recording tracking numbers before shipment. Then having this bitch put new tracking numbers on all my shipments. So I have to go back and delete the tracking numbers for labels she removed or covered up. Then record the new ones. I loathe going to this post office. it just makes my job double work.
Some other old female clerks like to argue with customers or allow unprepared customers to come to window unprepared & fill out forms while others watch and wait in line.
Most people who come here are basically unprepared to mail stuff. They ask a billion questions:
How much is cheapest way?
Take that off. How much is next cheapest way?
What forms do I fill out?
Do you have any tape?
post office is small. They usually have no more than two windows open. Its crowded in the early afternoon, on a Monday (or first work day of week) and in the late afternoon. It’s hot and musty in here when folks pack up on you like sardines. So be prepared to smell some awful people’s odor.
You also have a lot of stupid people who come here:
One idiot held up line to ask «Can I get a w2?»
The clerk said «you mean 1040?»
The idiot said «no, I need to do my taxes.»
The clerk said «a w2 is something your job sends you. You mean a 1040. You can pick that up at library.»
The idiot said «oh ok»
I guess this guy is his 30s never had a job until last year lol
That held up line for a few minutes.
If you must come here, just remember that this post office parking lot is pretty small. It gets filled up quick. So I wouldn’t park in the parking lot. Best bet is to park on street on hill and turn ur wheels towards curve. Parking lot gets overcrowded and some folks don’t know how to drive. It becomes time-​consuming to enter and exit

Saturday morning was quick and easy! There were 3 people ahead of me, but everyone was very speedy. The lady at the window was very nice.
