US Post Office

Not a bad experience here. It’s a government office like the DMV so I wasn’t expecting 5 star service but I can live with it.

Only dropped off mail to self serve. Service window wasn’t open yet just lobby. No copier as most aren’t supplying these days. Lobby 10 am to 5:30 pm.

This place is the worst! I wish I could leave –5 stars. They never answer the dam phone and they also provide fake information on the tracking site. My package said delivered in/​at mailbox and it wasn’t there! False information, they should go to jail for that! Stay away from these guy’s!

The man who delivered my package from the downtown LA post office hit my dog in the head with the box. Tried calling to complain but no one picked up.

The best post office ive been to so far. The girl in the front is super unprofessional (talking on her cell phone, chewing gum kind of unprofessional lol) but ill take that over endless lines…

Can I even give this place a rating? I called to check on the status of a package scheduled for redelivery today. Simple, right? I thought so. After about five minutes I was put on hold by an extremely rude sounding lady. But okay, fine. Hold. No big deal. It’s now THIRTY minutes later. Thirty. Are you serious? I’ve waited less time replacing a lost credit card… or getting game help from Blizzard or Square Enix. And that’s just pathetic. Not even a single update on why the wait is so long or an apology? I fucking think not. I’m actually grateful I’m a student and my parent’s dependent (who live in NY) because I’m not paying for their salary.

This place could be better run by a group of 10 year olds with down syndrome.

this place probably deserves only two stars. however, post offices are notoriously bad so i guess this one is just par for the course. wait times seem longer than at other post offices however. for example, i have been in a line with two people in front of me and waited around 30 mins before being helped. there was one postal worker there who had no sense of urgency and seemed to enjoy walking as slowly as possible to the back room and then as slow as possible back because «she can do that.» there’s also the issue of their air conditioning. it’s clear they have a AC system but they don’t use it in the area where customers are. so you wait in 85+ degree heat while that postal worker saunters back and forth to eat up the clock so she can go home. weird place.

Once again, doors shut 5:14 pm, sign on the door says they’re open till 5:30. PArking lot full of customers needing to mail boxes.
What the fuck? These lazy shits at this office are the precise reason for the stereotypes and hatred they attract.
Lazy. Fat. Stupid. No regard for the quality of their work. Ill-​tempered. Uneducated, and unable to speak English properly. Cantankerous. Even «government worker» has a bad connotation. And that’s because of folks like the ones who work here.

I come here sometimes because it’s the closest to me. But I am willing to drive 3 extra miles to get to the next office. Every time I sure this office something goes wrong… By package disappears some times of now if I come here I know to put insurance on my packages. The mood of the works is lazy.

This place has great parking. Service is ok. Wait times ok. Never felt like it was a dodgy hood though so. yay!

the guy who works here… lazy, asshole… 1^st i get a notice for a package the mail man was too lazy to even attempt to deliver to me as I was waiting at home. 2^nd the notice said pick it up at 8:30 am the next day, i go there and the dumb ass tells me «come back at 5:30» they close at 5:30 so he basically jsut told me that to leave. i come back the next morning and hes not even there and the same dumb ass has the nerve to tell me to come later at 4:30…

The only reason why I gave it a one is because it is only one block away from my work… Other than that the service is horrible especially one gentleman who is a total asshole. He can’t stand his job and it reflects on his face .
poor customer service and I can tell he hates serving me. Well, too frick’n bad!

Usually helpful and nice employees. Weird location. Passed it by the first time lol and I’ve never been to a post office that had bullet proof glass before, but ok. Cray shh goin down at USPS!

I love this Post Office. Thank you Unilocal for helping me find it! The Post office in my Koreatown neighborhood makes you want to poke your eye out because the lines are so long and the people working there are so unfriendly.
At this post office there is a parking lot, super short lines (there was no one there when I went around the lunch rush) and super helpful and FRIENDLY people. Thank you MARIA for making my trip out to your post office great!
I’ll be using this post office for sure in the future.

Went by at around 9am. Door hours say they open at 630.
Small driveway and tiny parking lot, with 20 minute warning signs but empty.
Cashier was curt, but speedy. No line means awesome! For once I didn’t feel like a citizen of communist Russia.

As much as I complain about the post office, this place is rather peculiar. Most of the post offices throughout Los Angeles, are worse than most, and not as good as some!
The Del Valle Finance Branch is unique and quite the opposite and it has its own idiosyncrasies. This place is quiet, clean, neat, impeccable, nice personnel and hardly anyone in line if you come at the right moment. Strange isn’t it?
But like most businesses, don’t expect no one to be there at closing time! And I have to say Derek Z. is right on the money! Have some empathy with the people behind the glass; they are there to serve the public and not get hurt! My hat’s off to all of you!

Holy goodness, there’s some entertainment value to be had here, y’all… this place has counter top to ceiling bullet-​proof plexiglass across all the stations, so it makes it a little bit harder to complete your transactions.
However, I was able to purchase my stamps just fine and the folks were neither memorably awesome or terrible, so 3 stars means it’s ok in my book :)
TIP: I passed the location the first time I looked for it, but just know it’s behind some chain-​link fences in an industrial strip of businesses.
This place also has limited parking, but it seemed to not be an issue when I was there ~4pm on a weekday.

A post office is a post office, it all depends when you get there, and what the mood of the USPS workers is.
This is my local Post Office, somedays are great some days are bad.
Today I had a bad day, it was busy and I was waiting for over 20 minutes for a parcel that I received a week ago?! How you mean waisting my time and miscommunication?!
The lady could not find it off course and told me to come back tomorrow; «cause I go for lunch. Service! That’s what the S stands for in USPS.
Okay I had better days, but to give a Post Office 4 – 5 stars??? Unless you go every time to pick up a big check or presents people send you.
Many years ago I was a postman myself for a season… so I know the game and we did not play fair, if you know what I mean.
